#startrek On this episode of the FHP, we take another journey into the past with the second of our podcast birthday episodes, in which the birthday gal/girl gets to choose a show/movie that they want to discuss. For Lorrie's birthday (which fell on January 31), she decided that she wanted to discuss a two-parter from the Star Trek universe: the Past Tense episodes from Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, season 3.
In this episode, Sisko, Bashir, and Dax attempt to beam themselves to Earth to attend a conference, but an anomaly sends them 300 years into Earth's past, to the year 2024. A time of social unrest, Sisko and Bashir have to try to survive within the city of San Francisco's "Sanctuary" community, while Dax has better luck on the other side of the tracks. They attempt to find a way back to each other (and home) without changing anything in the timeline that will alter history. You can probably guess how that goes.
