I I can keep other people warm like I don't, I, I don't
understand hot weather people and I and I know that they can't
understand me. And I'm sad about it because I

used to be a hot weather person.I did.

I was one of those people that Ionly would we would fight in our
like hot Chicago summers about like it's beautiful.

I, we, I've been there, but I have now hit some level of age
or hormone or I don't fucking know, but I am now like a sweaty

Betty cannot be in the sun. It's it can't anymore.
Yeah, we're having a fight, a fight in the office.
It's not a fight. It's a passive aggressive
situation in the office because last week it's an open concept
office, which are the devil anyway, and it's all concrete,
but there are huge windows everywhere so the sun pours in.

Oh, so you work in an oven? Basically, I close the blinds
all the time anyway because thatend of the office is a
playground for a daycare and I just don't deal with that
anyway. And that's where I sit and
that's where the sun comes in inthe morning.
So it's like it's too much, but it turns out the the heating
system got messed up, so it was like 78° in the office.

That's too hot. And it was too much.
So I asked maintenance like, hey, did you check into this?
Because this is not right. And he was like, Oh no, you're
right, the set point is wrong. So he reset the occupied
unoccupied set point back to what they were supposed to be.
I was like, beautiful. It's no longer an oven.
And then the CFO who was a dude and you know, the everyone's
always like, oh, men are always wanting the office, you know,

because we like to gender things, but the men always want
the office. So cold.
He rolls in and he's like, is itis a little cold in here today.
Like if you want me to turn the temperature up in here, I might
have to kill you. Like I don't put on a coat, put
on a sweater, put on a scarf. I don't.

I don't care. Literally I once in in in my
lifetime purchased from like a avague acquaintance of mine and a
friend of Emily a humble tires and Lube sweatshirt for the
express purpose of wearing at work.
Yes, because it's so heck and cold like.

(03:23):
But on little half gloves. Like of the thermostat.
That's the dream. So I, I had maintenance turn it
up like 1° because maintenance, I are like friendly because he's
like, I want to call him a roughneck in the nicest way
possible, you know what I mean? Like this dude belongs
underneath the chassis of a car at all times.
And he was like, listen, I can'treally turn it up 1°.

It goes up by threes. And I was like, that's going to
be. That's too many degrees.
So he did. And then of course the next day
the dude was like, it's still a little cold.
I was like, I, I can't get nakedin the office, so I don't, I
don't know what's gonna happen here.
So it's been the weekend. I lied a little bit and said
like, Oh yeah, I texted him and like, what are you gonna, you

gonna get me a portable air conditioning unit just for me?
I mean the. Next step here.
The eye for a hot minute had a portable swamp cooler, like a
little bitty like personal size swamp cooler and it was the
coolest thing ever. I might.
I mean, it's gonna be too dry inthe office for that to run.
No, if it's. If it's.
Oh. It's DRY, you want it if.
It's dry in the office, that's what you want.

That's a that's a work 'cause ifit's too humid, swamp coolers
don't work. Yeah.
No, it has to be like 7% or under.
That actually might work. Yeah, it's yeah, there is a
little like personal, a little personal being pizza, a little
personal slam cooler. It was the best just put at your
desk and just like. That actually that might work
because other people have, you know, little heaters under their

desk for in the winter when their feet get cold.
I've been there too. So like this might this might,
that might have to be the case if I have to listen to these
grown men complain about being cold.
Buy them a sweater. We have we have branded
Snuggies. Oh my God.
Incredible. They have our names on the back
like that. Jerseys how is there for OK,
hold on, how is there a back of a Snuggie?

Oh, they're not. We call them Snuggies.
They're like big fuzzy, like knee length.
I don't even like sweater thingies with hoods.
I. Don't know what to call them.
I don't show you them. Oh my God, I need this.
I need this actually. I've never actually gotten to
wear mine because as soon as I put it on I have heat stroke
because it's so warm. Send it to me, I'll wear.

I have two. One my cat stole immediately
because it's so warm and soft, and the other is at work that I
can't wear because I would die. But yeah, let's put that on.

OK, the title on Hulu was Revelations Colon Lunar Eclipse
which I didn't recall seeing thefirst time around.
No, it's been lunar eclipse. I know.
In my brain, I don't know what revolutions is.
Revelations. Revelations.

When I turned this on and it waslike, am I on the wrong season?
Did I fuck up here? But that's what it said on the
Hulu. On the Hulu on Hulu.
So in the mid season finale, under Deaton's advice, Scott and
his friends use an ancient but extremely dangerous ritual to
help them. Both say this is a bad sentence.
Both save the lives of the people they love and stopped
Akalian from achieving his sinister goal.

because this is how the like thethe the baths were set up in the
1st place. Why is Styles the one in the
middle here? Shouldn't it be Scott?
You would think, but it's how they were set up in the in the

Scott was on the well, I guess it depends if you're upstage,

whole time. I like watching them walk

It was a deep connection to the rings of the nematon and not

And I was like, I mean you can retcon it all you want but this
is just because Tyler Posey got a dumb ass tattoo and then they
had to write it into the show. For what it's worth, I like that
tattoo but like if they definitely had to retcon it and
I was like oh this, this doesn'twork.
I just feel like touching it andthen touching the ring of the

trees. I was like, OK, but it could be
such a cooler. You could OK, fine.
But he does vibe. He touches the tree and like
becomes one with the tree and vibes with it and then ends up
in the woods in the dark. And I actually liked this whole
sequence of the the kids. Well, I guess the teens seeing

their younger selves in the woods.
And this is the kind of retconning I girl can get
behind. It is.
It is absolutely retconning the last three seasons of the show
being like, look, all these really important moments that
you've been watching over the last three seasons, they mean
something. They do all happened around the
Nematon. Like this, this is the kind of
retconning I can get behind. I, I can follow it.

It actually they they pulled enough pieces together in the
right directions that I'm like, I'm, I'm, I'm in.
Sounds great. I was fine.
I was like, no, this is cool. And it was so cool to get to
watch like baby Scott, even though he definitely is
undergoing some massive, massive, massive trauma in this
moment again, forever. It was still super cool.
And watching styles, although itdid give me styles in the

Nematon, my future casting heartgoes out.
Just watching styles in the Nematon, like OW.
And then of course, the queen, the myth, the legend.
Your father is a highly respected private security

a sudden everybody wakes up because they're alive and they

They have been underwater for 16hours and I guess dead.
And they are looking so nice andfresh and not at all pruney.

they were not breathing for 16 hours, right?
For sure. Just just magic.
Just hanging out. OK, great.
Cool. That's not gonna go well for
them later, right? No, definitely not.

That whole Deaton speech about the darkness around their
hearts, following them wherever they go.
I'm. Usually hold on to.
That it does hurt some of them more than others I guess.
Yeah, it really does. Yeah.
But. Second problem is that the full
moon is rising in under 4 hours.It is time to go.

'Cause they had a nice long nap.They did.
Which also means, so Isaac and Lydia and I and also Deaton had
to just hang out in the vet's office for 16 hours waiting.
Yeah, just like, hey, there's, there's that, there's that guy.

Like where they they had to eat?I guess they took turns

sleeping. Like what was that day like?
A weird one, I would bet. Yeah, just like and did people
bring their pets in to the vet'soffice during this?

While this happened, Scott stillwants to go back to Dekalian
because he doesn't think that they can be Jennifer without the
help of Dekalian. And this time Deaton's like,

yeah, no, you're probably right.Just don't, don't trust Dekalian
while you're there. Which is fair advice I guess.
But now we've got Ethan, who I can never remember if he's Ethan
or Aidan and I usually don't care, showing up looking for
Lydia and he is asking for help to stop Aidan and Kali who he
calls. What does he say, Kali?

(13:54):
Yeah. It was like a weird
pronunciation, or maybe it's correct, I don't know.
He wants help stopping his brother and Kali from killing
Derek because now he's nice. I think maybe he was just, he's
so in love with Danny that you know he can't, he can't stomach
murder anymore. Yeah, yeah, I yes, we'll go with

(14:16):
that. Or maybe he just got his ass
kicked one too many times in theservice of decalion that he's
like, I'm tired of this. Yeah, basically.
Too much. Speaking of getting his ass
kicked, Derek's trying to recover in the loft.
And Cora is alive. Cora is alive.
She's looking a lot better than Derek.

(14:36):
Oh yeah. Even though she was near death
for like, I don't know, days. But that's fine.
Women are stronger. And then Peter just decides to
start talking and not say anything nice.
Yeah, Peter's just there to really dig in the fact that the
full moon is on the way. Derek looks like hell and shit's
about to go down because Peter doesn't have anything else to

(14:59):
do. He just like, lurks in the back
for what, 5 episodes? Pretty much, yeah.
Kind of sauntering down that staircase at inopportune moments
to kind of like, look down on all the scenes from above.

Yeah, to be like, hey, can I letyou guys know that stuff's
happening? I'm not gonna help, but I do

want to give you scary information and then Uncle
Peter. Of course, because Peter is in
fact one of the two worst unreliable narrators in this TV
show. As an audience, we're like, do I
trust that guy? You should not trust that guy.
You just keep lying to me so like.
Yeah, but poor, poor baby Derek.What's he supposed to do?

(15:42):
That's his. That's his fam.
And Derek still thinks that he's, like, gonna take people
out. I don't.
I don't if it's Derek's ego sometimes.
I honestly, it's got to be because Derek continues to make
choices that I don't really understand.
Yeah. Like I kind of do and then I
kind of don't. Yeah, he does serve the plot

sometimes. He does.
He serves the plot. And you know, there's this whole
part of media literacy where youkind of have to extrapolate.
You can say while he's doing this for any number of reasons,
here's this, this, this group ofreasons or that group of reasons
or this group of reasons. But like, unless the author is
explicit about it, you don't know.

And so, you know, does Derek getbamboozled by magic vagina yet
again? Like maybe?

Probably not. Like how oh I sleep wrong and my
hands are asleep? Oh, yeah.
I will say though, you know, forbeing probably the only person
in the room who hasn't been trained for a scenario like
this, Mom was holding it down pretty well.

She did raise a teenage son, Yeah.
So she's got some fight training, some survival
instincts. You know, she's she's in it to
win it. Yeah, but everyone.
'S everyone's being real, real chill.
Well, except for the sheriff, who's like, oh, that stalking is
gonna slice her throat. She is gonna strangle us first.

(17:49):
Yeah, she's definitely gonna murder us a lot.
But like. It'll be fine.
Yeah, it's not super comforting.He's not very optimistic about
the scenario. No, not at all.
I did kind of love that. Oh yeah.
And and also less optimistic is like a giant storm is raging and
things are starting to rumble and kind of fall apart upstairs.

(18:09):
Which I gotta say I I think he'sgonna be some fandom inspiration
in a lot of fick. A lot of magic styles Fick when
he is like new to this and doesn't really understand what's
going on and gets overwhelmed with emotions.
His magic often reacts in ways like this.
I love that in stories when you get dry and it like, yeah.

Yeah, big storms. Big, violent storms like this
one. I love it so.
You know what else I kind of accidentally love?
What? So we go back to the loft and
Ethan has shown up with Lydia. Yes.
And we get Lydia and Peter and Peter and Lydia and Lydia and

Just like 10 minutes of them in a room alone together.
Oh yeah, and having Lydia walk out alive.

Like Peter's just obliterated onthe floor.
Kaplowy Peter's the worst. But like, there's a part of my
heart that just loves Peter and Lydia.

They're the actors chemistry andobviously the actors are a
little closer in age than the characters, right?
But their their chemistry together is really.
Good. Not I'm not going to be like
it's hot because I'll let other people vibe that vibe, but some
actors just line read Better Together and just sit in a scene

Better Together and they're justgood in scenes together.
It's fun. They are and I I really enjoy
the two of them together. Me too.
So Peter wants Derek to just getthe fuck out of there, which
isn't that, I think is Peter playing into Derek's refusal to

run. Probably.
Right. Like, because Derek does
initially get in the car and go,but he does it very reluctantly.
I think Peter telling Derek to like take Cora and run away from
the situation is him kind of being like subtly like coward,
coward, coward, coward. Save yourself, save yourself,
save yourself because it's not really what he wants Derek to

do. So he's yeah, you could tell a
toddler to do the opposite. Right.
And then, you know, when they when he finally does get in the
car in a few scenes, you're justlike, oh, does Peter actually
care for Derek in this moment? Is Peter trying to get him away
from danger? Or is Peter just like the master
manipulator and Derek is just there?
Master manipulator. Speaking of master manipulators,

(20:45):
well, Lydia has to make an observation first because Peter
is desperately trying to get Derek to leave.
And Derek in his toddler basketball playing.
You know I'm not going to do what you told me to do.
Peter's like, Collie's going to murder you and Derek's like.
You've never want to fight with her in your life, dude.

Never once. I love you and also you're going
to lose. And so Peter goes to ask Lydia,
Hey girl, what do? What do you think?
And she remarks. What's what's in your mind now?
She she says that she feels likeshe's standing in a graveyard
and with the number of people who died in that fucking loft.

Yeah. Like, you're not wrong, not
wrong in this moment. I would have loved to have
actually seen like a close up ofCora's face.
Yeah. Because she was really the first
one to lose somebody in this loft.
Yes, yeah, yeah. You knew when they first showed
that loft and how like dark and grimy it was, that nothing good

was going to happen there. Nothing good, nothing good.
So we have the Arjun apartment with team, team, Arjun, team,
team. I don't know how they.
Skalazak. I can't pronounce it.
It's not a word that's meant to be said out loud.
It is not shall not be named. Scott is on the phone to Styles

to get stuff to track down the parents in the woods out into
the the root cellar and the nematon.
And this conversation is so likelight hearted in such a dark
situation that it's like perfect.
Yeah. Because it's like, I'm not
smelling your dad's boxers. OK, All small socks.
Like, like it's through all of this and I don't remember how it

changes because I'm trying to really focus more on like the
main plot and the now, but Scottreally does love Styles.
Oh yeah. These two are actually friends
and they love each other and like, they're going to, they're
going to be together and they'regoing to keep trying and they're
going to keep fighting and it they just give each other so

much strength and I hate it and I love them.
You know, it's awful and it sucks and it's wonderful.
And I love them. So, yeah.
But you know, Allison's in her own home.
She's directing traffic. And then it turns out that there
is an unexpected visitor. FBI Detective Douchebag McCall

is already in Chris's study. I don't know how he is allowed
in there. I feel like a warrant is needed.
I don't think you can just breakand enter as an FBI agent.
He's talks about probable cause,I think, but like because of the
guns. But I I don't think that's how
that works. And frankly, without a warrant,

any evidence he were to gather wouldn't be admissible in court.
Right, like I just and because then he like he breaks in and
then he finds all the guns. It's like what is happening, but
I imagine with the sheriff missing that like the whole town
is under federal guidance, guidance anyway.
So I just, he's just being an asshole is what he's being.

(23:57):
Oh yeah, full full asshole. And he clearly doesn't know
anything about what's going. On No, absolutely not.
Absolutely not. Yeah.
And he's trying to do that, likethe three of you know, more than
you're saying. Like, yeah, buddy, Yeah, yeah.

Because we go back to the loft. Where Kali is walking in with
her bare ass feet. Which OK, I am a take your shoes
off when you go into someone's house person.

be the person who provides like indoor slippers for people when

they come in. But then I have the situation of
like, well, do then different people use the indoor slippers
because then it's like people are putting their same feet into
the slippers that other people have used.
And then I get a little weirded out by that.

So like, I think the way that it's shot and the way that
everything happens, that we're supposed to believe that Derek
is just falling for magic vaginaagain, that Derek is just like

I am choosing to believe that hetrusts the team, that he trusts
Scott and Styles and Allison enough to be like, look, maybe I
can buy us some time. It gets me in the room, you

purpose of this is to show the bat like the final battle scene
which is going to be at the distillery where Deukalian lost
his sight and where like Gerard.You know, fucked over a bunch of

wolves and that's, you know, where Derek used to take Paige.
It's a it's a very central location to the flashbacks in
the season. It's so central and yet like
it's so forgettable. Oh yeah, it's completely
superfluous. We never talk about it again.
And, and like, you know, we actually don't see that much of
the McCall house, but it's so familiar.

Yeah. Right, like it has a feeling, it
has a a homeiness, but you. Literally it's just that one
hallway upstairs. Yeah, like, you just don't see
that much of it. This distillery is meant to be
like a Nexus of all these incredibly important plot lines.

Then we've got Lydia, Cora, Deaton and the twins in the

something that Gerard told me. And I was like, oh, please don't

And Scott has got some flash bangs in his pocket because he
and Allison love them. Some flash bangs, which blind
the Kalian because when he is his wolf, he has his eyeballs.
And this happens just in time for the lunar eclipse.

Yes. And so now the Kalian is blinded
and they have, I believe, like 15 minutes while the wolves are
powered down. But Jennifer is powered up

couple episodes ago when they started talking about this plan.

sight back has made her weak. Oh no.
Which, again, is like, but she'skilled nine people for this
ritual. Shouldn't she be powered up
enough to do this? OK, Yeah.
So Jennifer's like, hey, babe, Derek, you got to kill him for

me because we're in this together.
She still thinks they're in thistogether.
And Derek's like, like my motherused to say, I'm a predator, but

He is this what happens here is is like it's so silly though

'cause like he grabs her throat and is like let them go and then
she just starts punching him andgets his ass kicked.

To the memory of all the other times he's been shredded to
pieces. And I was like, but why?
What are we doing? And finally, the lunar eclipse
ends with very little fanfare. Definitely not Jennifer wasting

her entire eclipse on insanity. Yes, except now she's covered
herself or like ringed herself in mountain ash and she's
taunting them that she's going to kill the parents to get that
last bit of power that'll let her kill Ducalian who is going
to re Wolf. But what do we have?

powers, he can just push throughthat mountain ash barrier.
And Duke aliens definitely stilllike passed out on the floor.

Isaac can no longer hold up the wall because he's been the he's
been the one with the werewolf strike.
He is trying his best and he loses his powers during the
eclipse and can't do it. And then all of a sudden, out of

nowhere, we get these little feedies going big.
Ticka ticka, ticka ticka ticka. And all of a sudden and her
styles with the aluminum baseball bat.
Yeah, propping up that, that whole ceiling with a.

But the reunion between Styles and the Sheriff.

But you know, so everything at the warehouse, at the distillery
is done. This is the Hail McCall pack
with like with Scott and Derek. So nice.
It's very nice and Scott callingStyles to make sure everyone's

So Scott is on the phone, but Derek's making faces and so is
Styles. The three of them are having a
