You're listening to PAC Dynamics, a Fandom on the Rocks
podcast. Hello.
Welcome back to PAC Dynamics, a Teen Wolf episode part of the
PAC Dynamics Podcast Network. I'm and Who are you?
I'm Allison. Hi.
Hello. This is season 3 episode 9, The
girl who knew too much. Poor girl.
I know. Poor girl, she continues to have
(00:35):
the worst day. Oh, Lydia, this is a great
episode. Yes, because, and if I could
speak a little slower and a little more stilted, this is a
great episode because finally, people know stuff.
Yes, they know stuff and stuff starts to happen and we get
revealed. I was thinking about it and
we're finally to like the top ofthe of the roller coaster that
(00:58):
is season 3. AI thought about your roller
coaster analogy. When I was watching this, I was
like, and we're here. We made it.
Yeah, because now we're at the top and it's going to go from
here. We had some loop de loops, but
people finally know stuff, the audience finally know stuff,
and. Now we have to put all the
pieces back together. We do.
Yeah. I'm stoked.
(01:20):
It. The only my only downside to
this episode is that I watched it in the daytime and it was
dark so I was like trying you know when you it's a dark dark
like the coloring. Yeah, when it's blue.
When it's blue and I watched in the daytime and my living room
is awfully bright because of allthe windows, and I was doing
(01:41):
that thing we were trying to seearound the edge of the screen.
Yeah. What is going on in this
episode? Yeah, it's it reminds me so much
of when you and me and our ex roommate watched that one
notorious very dark blue Game ofThrones episode.
Oh my God. We couldn't see shit, right?
And we were sitting in our living room and all of the
lights were off and we like, yeah, the blinds down, and we
(02:03):
still couldn't see anything. No, couldn't see shit.
And the three of us were just, like, yelling at the television,
like, why can't I see can't. See anything?
And to be fair, that was a very open apartment with skylights
and we were like, OK, we need tolike black out curtain this
place. We got to do something.
We were about ready to just likethrow the full you at me and her
(02:24):
and the TV like under a blankie to be.
Like, Oh yeah. Is this better?
Like I just black, I see nothing.
I see, I hear stuff, I see nothing.
I'm sure that something is goingon.
I don't know what it is. I can't see it.
I can't see it. Can't see.
Is that a fire in the back? Is is that flame?
Is someone on fire? Probably.
That's fine. So I had a few moments of this
one. I was like OK maybe I should
(02:44):
have waited till night time to watch this.
I watched it in the middle of the day yesterday and I it's
yeah, you missed some stuff. But if I can just kind of think
about like, oh, yes, Teen Wolf is blue.
And this is what I have to look for.
They're in the school. I know what that hallway looks
like. OK, here we go.
There was a full blue scene and I was like, all right, it's blue
(03:05):
today. It's blue.
So the rundown here is as Allison begins to suspect
someone dangerously close to hermay be involved in the murders,
which she's already suspecting. It's not just this episode.
Scott and Stiles conclude that Lydia's rising talents may be
their best bet to solving the murders.
This episode aired July 29th, 2013.
(03:26):
Dun Dun, Dun. So we Lydia just needs a break.
Well, she needs a break. Give that girl.
Give that girl a couple of days of vacation.
I mean, her parents just, like, aren't around.
Just let her stay at home for a while.
Seriously. I mean, go to, I don't know,
anywhere Palm Springs. Is that nearby?
Yeah. Go South.
Go South, go somewhere away. Portland.
(03:47):
I don't know, do something? Somewhere away, just away.
So our cold open is a police officer, a deputy who is not the
sheriff has to go investigate a 911 call at the high school.
And this is Deputy Tara Graham. Teen Wolf is a horror show.
Teen Wolf is a horror show. We got a dark and spooky
hallway. I just OK this was funny to me
(04:10):
only because like what the fuck are these kids doing at the
school this late with all the lights out with.
All the lights out, I'm like, I'm like Danny and the band are
just like hanging out practicing, but I'm like none of
the hallway lights are on. Why did nobody turn on the
hallway lights? Yeah.
At like 5:00 PM, do the hallway lights just turn blue?
Is it some sort of LED light bulb situation?
(04:32):
And like, it looked pitch black outside.
What are they doing this late atthe school without a teacher
escort? Yeah, doesn't.
Doesn't the music teacher have to be at the school when
students are there? For sure, for sure.
Absolutely to lock and unlock the door.
Yes, correct. And like every once in a while
you'll get kids who you can like, who you'll like trust with
(04:52):
keys, but not just like freewheeling and dealing by
themselves. There's too many alarm codes
that nobody knows. There's too many like doors that
they can get stuck on. You got, you know, the weird
push doors and those have a different key and they're
really. Hard.
Yeah, there's like weird lock things through the push thing.
It's like it, there's a whole, there's just like a lot of
insider knowledge that like, youjust don't know.
(05:16):
You don't know until you're like, having to lock up a
campus. But like, Danny, Danny.
Mr. Mihailani, why are you at the school so late?
I know you're in rehearsals. Where is your teacher?
I know. So they are practicing because
surprise, there is a recital which I think is more of a
concert. I don't know.
They call it a recital the next night, which we have not heard
(05:40):
about until now. So that that's cool.
But they're practicing real hardfor it.
Like 4 of them come out of the room.
But later we'll see that it's like the entire band, a choir, a
pianist, everybody's involved inthis.
Everybody, yeah. But the deputy is there because
someone made a 911 call to the school and now her radio isn't
(06:02):
working. What is the name of weird
chanting is happening on Deputy Graham's radio?
Oh it's spooky. And then she sees like feet and
a body get slowly dragged through a door down the hallway
and then she ends up in the boyslocker room.
I still don't understand the geography of the school.
Like the geography is that the boys locker room is the room of
(06:23):
requirement. Whatever, you need a scary plot
device to occur. The boys locker room appears.
It does it. It's everywhere.
It's off every corridor in the school.
Yes, it's upstairs, it's downstairs, it's in the
basement. It's how.
Many doors are there to the locker room.
All of them. Every door leads to the locker
room except for the door to. Rome and this one.
(06:44):
The shower is running and poor Deputy Graham looks and sees her
own dead body in the shower. Yikes, Yikes, Yikes.
Spooky. And I'm assuming Deputy Graham
has not yet witnessed any of theweird shit happening in Beacon
Hill, so this is probably a first for her.
This is probably a first for her.
And also probably a first for her is getting strangled from
behind by a monster. A spooky monster.
(07:09):
One of the things that like I I recognized in my front vein, but
in my front brain, but really like didn't see until this
episode. Is that the Derox?
Like you know, white slashy facehas no muscle movement.
Yeah, it's like a full mask. It's.
A full mask. And so like you just kind of
(07:30):
have to go on body language for thoughts and feelings.
Like if those eyes are unblinking, that mouth does not
move. Like none of it.
Yeah, I don't know if that's like a budget problem or if that
was a choice. I wonder if there's a behind the
scenes that we should go find. I don't know.
I'd be like the makeup of the Dirac.
Yeah, it's, it's scary as hell makeup.
(07:51):
Like if I were in the dark spooky place with that that
monster coming at me, I too would like have a bad night.
Yeah, I don't like it. It's got a look.
Did you ever see like Texas Chainsaw Massacre?
Not on purpose. And like the full pig, you know,
leather mask that's just. Not on purpose.
Not on purpose. It's got a Yikes.
(08:12):
So sorry, Deputy Graham. And then so we've got Scott and
Styles rolling up outside and Allison.
I know the Jeep room and Allisonhas brought Lydia because the
same thing has happened to her. That happened at the pool in
Episode 2 I think. I think so, yeah.
Where she got into a car intending to go one place and
(08:34):
ended up someplace else, and shewas instructed to call the team
when that happens, and she did. And she did, because Lydia
doesn't want to find the dead bodies anymore, so she's going
to call in the team. Yeah, so you find the dead body
from now on. And the the banter between
Styles and Lydia, who gets to find the dead body.
(08:57):
I'm like, I love everything that's happening with you today.
I love this. I love it until Scott is like I
found the dead body. Poor Scott.
And Deputy Graham has been left dead on top of the Beacon Hills
High School sign at the front ofthe campus.
Thank you for your service, Deputy Graham.
We barely knew you, just doing her job.
(09:23):
Sorry, that was my my register of the theme song.
I hope you enjoyed. It I just threw flour on myself,
I don't know if you could tell, and kind of posed in front of a
black room. So we have just like a real
brief interlude of style spying on his dad while he investigates
the murder by like holding a backpack to his face to to hide.
(09:44):
He's trying to hide. He's trying to hide behind
anything that he can. But it it gives us like a little
background on Deputy Graham thatshe used to help Styles with his
math homework. Yeah.
So he's invested in this as if he wouldn't be invested anyway,
but it is a nice moment. He's extra invested.
Yeah, and of course the deputieslike, get there, the sheriff's
(10:04):
like get the fuck out of here and he's not going to because
Styles and the team are like theones who actually know what's
going on. And poor Sheriff is struggle
blessing. Yes, he is.
So we have Allison at home and Idid you know immediately that
she was already dressed underneath the bed, 'cause I
did. I was like.
(10:24):
Only know that she's immediatelydressed because I know this
scene. I I can see it, I know what's
about to happen. But like, I'm just really
confused. What has specifically happened
to Allison in the last couple ofepisodes that her dad's willing
to excuse her from school? Yes, that was also a question I
(10:45):
had because so they're talking about the recital that's for
people lost at the school. And Allison tells Chris like
they're murders, not losses, which is legit.
That's correct. And but she's like, I don't she
doesn't want to go and to one either to school or the recital.
And Chris is like, oh, you don'thave to go to school today.
(11:07):
Like why is she so bummed? Like she doesn't what?
What's the vibe here? Like did did something happen
specifically to Allison or like because she's.
And Erica like aren't her BFFS? Yeah, she OK, So first of all,
are Boyd and Erica included in this like Beacon Hills high
losses or would just the people who have been sacrificed?
(11:31):
I don't know because I don't, I don't know that the school has
registered that they're dead dead.
Yeah, I don't know. I just.
I hope that that's what's happening here is they're
finally like O2 of Allison's classmates are dead dead and
she's sad about it. But wouldn't Chris know that
they're werewolves? Yeah, and Allison kidnapped
them. And Allison was part of this.
(11:52):
And Allison was part of it and never apologized.
So. And now they're too late.
Now they're dead and it's too late.
Yeah, this scene kind of confused me as to like where the
where Chris was coming from. Yeah, being like, oh, I'm so
like, what are we doing? Like, I can only guess that
maybe it's to set up the fact that, like, so now she's like
(12:13):
sneaking around in her dad's office and and dad's not home
because it's the middle of the day.
Yeah. Like there's other ways to do
that I guess. Yeah.
But I always forgiven because she gets immediately adorable
and vaguely. Yes, she gets up.
She is dressed and weaponed in such a 2000s 2013 outfit with
like, Tumblr core. It's Tumblr core, the fishnets,
(12:36):
but the knee high socks and the knee high boots and.
The boots and yeah. Yeah, most feeling it.
Also feeling it, I believe is Isaac, who has been lurking
outside her window, very reminiscent of Scott.
And the two of them decide to have a yet again, a little
violence flirt. Little violence flirt.
It is her style and he's he wants to hang around and figure
(12:59):
out what's going on with her. And she's like, I can take care
of myself. And he's like, I've noticed more
than once, hey, so he's he's there to stay with Allison for
for the day, because plot and because flirt.
For for plot, for plot. Flirt for for plot Flirt.
Yeah. So we finally got people back in
(13:20):
class and went to school. Well, they went to school for
part of today. For a little bit.
For a little bit, it's English class.
It's Miss Blake. She is attempting to teach about
idioms and analogies. Lydia is not paying attention.
She is drawing her tree. It's a nice tree.
It's a nice tree. I wonder if they use the same
paper and the same drawing in all these scenes.
(13:41):
Maybe they just put it back intoprops and, like, we'll get it
again. Yeah, but she's talking about
idioms are a secret for the people who know the language of
the culture and are phrases thatlike only make sense to you if
you know what's going on. And styles like or she she
mentions the phrase like seeing the whole board.
And styles is like, oh, chess because apparently the sheriff
(14:03):
plays chess. The sheriff plays chess.
Now here is a I'm not going to call it a cannon or fannin but
it is a retcon. So in in season 3 B the chess
board comes back and they talk about chess being styles game.
Right. It's and then they set this up
(14:23):
here, they drop like it's chess, but like it's not styles, it's
the sheriff's. It's the sheriff, and he pulls
the board in a later scene out of the Sheriff's Office.
So maybe he just like gets inspired and is now like
starting to use I, I don't know,but yeah.
I could see like, father son bonding over chess, but it he
(14:45):
absolutely says his dad plays chess.
He pulls the board out of the Sheriff's Office at home.
Just follow the plot you've laiddown.
Yeah. You could have just made styles
good at chess. Yeah, it's absolutely a game.
Well, I don't know if his ADD would let him sit there and play
a game like chess, but maybe on chess.
Yeah, 'cause you memorize entireboards.
(15:07):
Like that's half of why chess isso weird to me.
Is like you just memorize an entire game and then play it
out. You have to know where
everything is all the time. Yeah, it feels very much like a
thing that I also would enjoy. That's neither here nor there.
We'll get to it in like 10 episodes.
Yes, yeah. So again, instead of paying
attention in class and talking loud enough that I'm sure the
(15:30):
entire school wonders what the fuck these people are up to,
Scott wonders if the Dirac was once an emissary to the alphas
and he wants to get Ethan to talk, and to do that he has to
get through Aiden to get to Ethan.
Yeah, because Aiden is definitely not having it.
(15:50):
And to get to Aiden. Or yeah, they're gonna use Lydia
to separate Aiden from Ethan. So Lydia gets to go into her
office because her. Special office.
Her next office. Yeah.
Yeah. I was a little like, don't use
Lydia to do this. Come on.
A little bit, yeah. That's rude.
And meanwhile, Aiden and Ethan are both like Aiden wants Ethan
(16:14):
to stop talking to Danny because.
For reasons for. Reasons.
Because Ethan is actually kind of into Danny now, like.
Into into Danny. Into into Danny.
And Ethan's like, Danny's harmless.
It doesn't matter. He's not the one that we want.
Leave him alone. And Aiden's like, knock it off
or I'm going to fuck him up. Like he threatens Danny.
(16:36):
Yeah. Which is garbage because Danny
is perfect and harmless. And has done nothing to you.
He's done nothing to you and hasbeen hurt twice.
Yeah. In service to the plot, Yeah,
twice. Right in the hospital and then
the jungle. Yeah.
You leave them. Alone.
(16:56):
Leave Danny alone, it's nonsense.
Also still fuck the twins. They killed Boyd.
They were part of the killing ofBoyd.
They were part of the killing ofBoyd.
And I forgive them, not I shan'tforgive them.
You know who else doesn't forgive them?
Lydia Cora is not happy. Yeah, so Lydia.
(17:19):
Lydia calls it out, 'cause she does take Aiden to the sex
office. Yeah, she does.
She takes Aiden to the sex office.
Yeah, she takes Aiden to the sexoffice.
They do remember Boyd. Like, it gets called out and
Aiden's like, OK, well, Derek tried to kill like everyone's
tried to kill everybody at this point.
Well, there's also some like, misinformation in there because
(17:40):
Aiden says that Derek killed Ennis and we know that Derek
wounded Ennis. Yes, and then they fell off a
bridge into an open like area ina mall.
In a mall. But then they bring Ennis to
Deaton, and Deaton like, patcheshim back up and he was gonna
(18:03):
survive. And then Do Kaylian smashes his
face in like a grape. Yeah, do Kaylian murdered.
Yeah, Dennis, not Derek. I wonder, do they ever tell?
Does Deaton ever tell the rest of them that Dekalian killed
Ennis? I don't know.
I don't remember. Deaton doesn't like to say
things out loud. Deaton likes to let everything
kind of unfold in its own fun, sexy way.
(18:27):
Dude, yeah, so I mean, everyone's a little bit wrong.
Everyone has murder is on the mind, kind of at all times,
especially when someone scratches that swirly alpha
revenge symbol on the glass of the door.
Swirl. Swirl.
Swirl. Swirl.
And Aidan's like Derek, so they they bust out of the room
looking for Derek in in a scene that suddenly becomes like
(18:49):
sepia. A little bit, yeah.
I was like, oh, we've changed our colors and Lydia's like, I'm
gonna scream. Except it's not Lydia or it's
not Derek. It's Cora.
Who's it's? Cora.
Who's there to kick ass? Because she is still really mad
about Boyd's murder and like is is the only one who's like,
(19:11):
taking any kind of action aroundit.
Yeah, yeah. And she's mad that other people
aren't doing anything about it, which she's going to call people
out on. Indeed.
I think we have to, we have to go back to Scott Styles before
we can, before we can Cora. Yeah.
So they have left class and my note here was why aren't you in
class? Like, did they just take a
(19:33):
bathroom break because now Scott, Stiles and Aiden?
Ethan. Ethan, Ethan are chatting in the
stairwell and they're just like having a little a little chit
chat. And I did like Styles
threatening. Aiden, right.
(19:53):
It was very intense. With I can't remember his whole
spiel, but it's basically a bat made out of mountain ash.
Wrapped in wolfsbane. Wrapped in wolfsbane, that's
what it was. Yeah.
So it comes out that Aiden and Ethan owe Deukalian something
because they were omegas when they met the the whole spiel.
(20:16):
And it was Deukalian who taught them how to become Super Wolf.
Yeah, and Dekalian kind of coerced, egged them on into
killing their entire pack and then their alpha.
So like, they weren't going to do that on their own.
Dekalian was the one who was like, hey, go, go ruin your
lives. And which is how they ended up
(20:38):
in league with the Alpha and gotall their powers.
Yeah. And they they clarify in this
conversation because the Styles and Scott are trying to see like
maybe the Dirac is somebody's old emissary.
Maybe that's a connection. And Ethan goes like no,
everyone's emissary is dead except for Duke aliens.
(21:02):
Who is Morel? Which is Morel?
And that conversation gets broken up because Ethan can feel
that Aiden is getting slashed upby Cora.
Getting his ass whooped. Who are fighting in the boys
locker room? Because they're in the boys
locker room. Because we needed a location.
Yeah, yeah. So you know, they they somehow
(21:23):
managed to find themselves in the boys locker room via the sex
room. Yep.
Who knows how that happened? I don't know.
I'm not going to ask questions. It just, it just happens.
So everyone rushes in there to stop the fight and that no
teachers have heard, no other students have run in to stop
even though like, Cora got smashed over the head with a
plate, like a weight lifting plate and that can't have felt
(21:43):
good. Ouch, ouchies.
And that really that took her down.
That took her down. It would take anybody down,
frankly. And like, Lydia is begging for
Cora's safety. And as Corey, it's not to the
ground. Lydia's really watching over her
and my little heart, like my goggles.
My goggles, just like Cora and Lydia, Cora and Lydia, Cora and
(22:06):
Lydia. 2 bad asses. In Deed.
And so Ethan comes in and restrains Aiden, and then Scott
and Styles are trying to like, take in the scene.
And Styles notices that Cora is like, really hurt, that she's
not just healing, she's not getting up.
She is really hurt. Yes, which is interesting
(22:26):
because they are the twins are alphas, but the head wound
wasn't caused by like an alpha claw, it was a A.
Weightlifting plate. It was a weightlifting.
Yeah, it was a it was a plate. Yeah.
So kind of like, oh, what's happening here?
Yeah. And so like I also have
questions about this. I did too.
(22:46):
And I will continue to have questions about this because I
think what it is is a plot device and I'm mad about that.
Yeah, I think you're right, which I don't appreciate.
And not that I don't appreciate you being right.
I don't appreciate the plot device.
I don't. Appreciate the plot device
there. There were.
There are other answers. There's other options guys.
Unless you like coded the plate in wolfsbane and then smacked
(23:08):
her with it, but I don't think he had time for that.
I don't think he had time for that, no.
Yeah, yeah. So our back at the other
location. Back at the non sex office.
Where two other people aren't atschool.
Two other people. Go to class.
God damn it. So Allison is catching Isaac up
on her dad's murder map and they're standing awfully close,
(23:32):
looking super cute and OK. One of my questions about this
entire plot line is what? Is it just for the plot that
Allison is so convinced that herdad is the one committing the
murders? I think so because they're the,
the map is kind of damning evidence.
(23:54):
But this is kind of the first wehear that Allison is like for
the first time. It's not, oh, my dad figured out
what's going to happen. My dad is a hunter and is going
to, is going to like hunt the, the person who did this.
All of a sudden out of nowhere, she's like, it's my dad.
My dad's killing people. Yeah.
And I'm like. And like.
How'd you get there? How'd?
You get there because we're looking at this as an audience,
(24:18):
as like an omniscient viewer, Like we get everyone's
viewpoints and. And we've seen, well, you've
seen the entire show. I've seen much of it, right?
So we see all the character motivations based on what the
story tells us, right? Like their inner lives are only
what we know, right? But like, Chris kills
(24:39):
werewolves. Yeah, Chris doesn't kill cops
and teachers and nurses and liketeenage girls in the woods for.
Funsies, it's not. No, that's not his.
Not his jam. It's not his jam and like maybe
Gerard, but even Gerard. Well, Gerard killed other
hunters, but right. How many times have we seen to
(25:01):
kill? No, it's a can't.
Well, OK Gerard, yes, but Allison I don't know has ever
seen or heard of her dad kill people.
Not that werewolves aren't people, but for hunters like the
distinction between werewolf andpeople is like murky.
Yeah, so it non werewolf people. How?
Why would she make this leap? I.
(25:21):
Don't know even like. Looking at this map, you're just
like, yeah, he's trying to trackdown.
He's figuring out he's. Trying to track it down and
figure it out, which is very Chris Argent of him.
Yeah, and like, he doesn't want his daughter to get involved and
get hurt. That's why he's hiding.
It right? Just like the family hid the
beastier you, just like the family hides fucking everything.
Why the family hid that? The fact that they're werewolf
(25:43):
hunters and have a werewolf torture basement.
Yeah, and the legality of that, Yeah.
And Isaacs, the one who's like you, need to take a step back.
Look at the big picture, IE the idiot.
Look at the whole board. The whole board.
They see there's this fivefold knot on Chris's desk which is
like a Celtic symbol. And that is damning.
That is an as an inconvenient coincidence.
(26:04):
That's an inconvenient coincidence, but their entire
family is tied up in like, Celtic mythology.
Yeah, that's true. And so they use this black
light, and the black light showshandwritten virgins, warriors,
healers, philosophers and guardians written inside the
knots. So like, not great.
Not great. But it's still a leap to be
like, oh, my dad has done all ofthis.
(26:25):
Like when would he have the time?
Yeah, between burying all of hisfamily members and not caring
for his vaguely dying father, when would he have the time?
Like, I wonder if you could evenpiece together the times that he
was at Gerard's room with some of the murders happening.
Maybe. Anyway, I just thought that was
(26:46):
an interesting leap for her, forAllison to be like, it must be
my dad. Like whoa, whoa, whoa.
Hold on, hold on, hold on. Let's you know what it it It's a
plot device that gets us throughthe episode, so we'll take it.
He does, and we get some fun. Allison Isaac, little hand
touchies. He's so into her already.
He's so. Into her.
(27:07):
He is so into Allison, He is so into Scott.
Everyone's got two hands. Just go.
Just go start solving crimes. Isaac loves Scott and Allison.
Scott loves Isaac and Allison. Allison loves Scott.
And we'll come to love Isaac. Let's go.
Let's. Go.
Let's go. Season 7, baby, let's go.
(27:28):
So we've got Cora in the team and she's getting cleaned up and
this is when she goes off on therest of them for not doing
anything. She did this for Boyd because no
one else was doing anything. And I I really liked her line of
like, all you do is show up lateand all you do is find the
bodies. Yep.
(27:48):
Because that's one of the thingsthat Lydia has been like really
struggling with this whole season.
Yeah, like specifically, everyone struggles with it, but
Lydia specifically has been struggling with it because she
doesn't know why she's finding the bodies, but she just keeps
finding the bodies. Yeah.
And like, it's, I mean, it can'tbe something that the team
(28:08):
hasn't already thought of but haven't said out loud.
Yeah, that. What?
What are we even doing if we can't save lives?
But they just haven't voiced it.And now Cora shows up out of
kind of nowhere, like he's a newperson in their lives who's
stronger, faster than them and is just like fuck you guys, you
guys fucking. Suck, but Stiles does note that
(28:30):
you know Cora's whole everything.
It's like definitely a hail. Sure are.
Sure is. And then he's going to take her
home. Yup.
Sure he is. Well, Speaking of other Hales.
Yes. So Jennifer is like leaving the
school or stepping outside of school.
I don't know what she's doing. She's taking a break because she
(28:51):
still has to go back for afternoon class, but maybe it's
lunchtime. Maybe it's lunch, but she takes
a step outside and Derek shows up out of the dark with a heroic
music cue. Hello honey.
Hi, he's got a little bit of a thicker beard than last time, I
think. Excellent.
We love that for him. Got a he's got a little hug, a
(29:11):
little kiss and they have a little chat about, you know, he
needed to be alone for a while and I guess knit his stomach
back together. It's those two days that Cora
described. His his alone time.
His company banded in two days of bereavement.
Yeah, his bereavement and I guess burial for his pack.
(29:32):
Yeah, his bereavement. It all counts.
It's all PTO. Yeah, Hail pack PTO.
And she's like, she's the one who put together the recital to
honor the losses. They have a little huggy, kissy
time, which is much more shadowed than it's been in the
past. Like you can't really see their
faces. There's a little bit of slow MO
(29:53):
happening. The wind is kind of swirling
around with the leaves. Yeah, it's very, it's very
thematic. It's very lit.
There's a vibe. It is a vibe and like there's a
couple instances in this episodeof a slow MO and this is one of
them 'cause she like it's a slowwalk when she walks away back to
the school. Yeah, and the leaves are and the
wind starts and leaves all come up around her.
(30:15):
And I just, I look at the scene and one, it's really cute
because frankly, Jennifer's really cute.
She's. She's real cute, she is, and
Derek really likes her. But Derek comes back to her
after two days because he just wants to be loved so bad.
He wants to be loved so badly. I.
Know. Like one of my favorite little
(30:37):
things on the on the Teen Wolf side of the Internet is every
once in a while we'll start talking about like BDSM and Dom
sub dynamics. And so often Derek is portrayed
as a Dom just because he's very, very pretty and, you know,
strong and buff and etcetera. And that scene from season 2
where he wears the leather gloves.
And then there are people who show up who are like, hey,
(31:00):
actually Derek Hale is like the submiest sub to have ever
existed in the universe. That man just wants to be taken
care of. That man has to make so many
choices. I don't understand what you're
talking about. He's.
So sad and as we go to the Hail mores because I think the only
person who is more subby than Derek is Jackson and Derek is
(31:25):
just like running to this woman who he has known a grand total
of like 3 weeks maybe he just wants to be loved and taken care
of so badly. He has had a real bad couple of
days, yes. He just wants a hug and a smooch
and a cup of coffee like. And like 3 weeks off maybe?
Yeah, for sure. One of the other interesting
(31:46):
things is that, like, Jennifer is being kind of read in on
werewolves. Like the whole this whole season
she's been very politely read inon werewolves because she tells
Derek that she, like the the twins are back.
They're just showing up to school like nothing happened.
Yeah. She's like now like name
dropping members of the Alpha Pack that are at school that are
like present on campus. So she's getting more involved.
(32:10):
Yeah, she is ingratiating herself into the pack, worming
in. Yep.
Yeah, not good. Not good.
Well, we know this. You know, if you're watching
this for the first time, it probably seems like, oh, we have
a new pack member. Yeah, very cute, very soft.
That Derek's going to be loved and taken care of like he
deserves. Yeah, yeah.
(32:32):
So we we go to a little scene with Styles and Cora in the car,
and Allison has called Styles totell them about the category of
sacrifices of the guardians, which could mean law
enforcement. And Allison is like, you got to
tell the sheriff it's time. You have to do whatever it takes
to make him believe like, it's way past this.
(32:54):
Let's go. And Styles is like, all right,
but I'm going to need Cora's help because she can and make
the wolfy face and roar. What's better than having a
werewolf right in front of your face to make you believe?
Yep. Which the sheriff didn't get in
the previous season when Scott went a werewolf in front of
Melissa because the sheriff was unconscious.
(33:16):
Unconscious he had been beaten. Unconscious, he'd.
Been beaten unconscious, which was very unfortunate for
everyone. So back at the school because
time has no meaning and people are just coming and going from
locations. Scott has gone to Misses Morell.
Miss Morell basically to ask straight like, are you the one
doing the killing? It's a bold statement.
(33:39):
It's a bold choice. That's a bold question.
It's a bold move. Yeah, just to be like, hey, are
you a murderer? Hey.
Question. Is it you?
And she's like Nah bro, I'm the one that's keeping decalion from
killing all of your friends. You're.
Welcome, you're. Welcome, and she lays out
(34:00):
Decalion's plot in a little moreclear detail than we've gotten.
Decalion wants to make a killer out of Scott, and if Because
Scott can't be a true alpha if he just murders someone in cold
blood, I'm assuming he can be a true alpha if he kills someone
in self-defense. The rules aren't super clear.
The rules really aren't super clear.
(34:21):
Because he's like, I can't be a true alpha if I kill someone
like but what if it's like just in a fight?
But Dekalian? Because he's a narcissist and a
crazy person. He will destroy Scott if he
can't have him in his pack. Right.
And Morel's like you are playingright into his game.
You need to see the bigger picture.
(34:42):
Now, what the bigger picture is,we're not totally sure yet.
Nobody knows the bigger picture.None of us.
We that's that's another season's problem.
Exactly. We don't know, but she's like,
you got to see the bigger picture.
Which cuts to another classroom and a teacher we haven't met
before writing The Great War on a board.
(35:04):
Because subtlety is not always teen wolves purview.
No. And he looks away and he comes
back to the board and it's been replaced by a a chalk drawing of
the five fold knot. And then we see Lydia pick up
the chalk and walk to the board. As the chalk just falls out of
his hands and it goes back across the floor and Lydia picks
it up and she's like, oh look, look what I found.
(35:25):
I got a chalk and she writes a #2 inside one of the knots and
then she screams. And this one is finally, like,
not an accidental scream. It's an, it's a, it's a, it's an
on purpose scream and the like. It zooms in.
It's a whole, it's a whole thing.
And she's like, so we go to a scene in present in
(35:45):
consciousness that Lydia is trying to tell Miss Blake.
And I don't know why she goes toMiss Blake that Mister Westover,
who was the teacher riding on the chalkboard, is gone and that
he's going to be the second murderer.
And she knows this. She saw it like, let's fix this.
And Scott, who's like a deputy and a teacher, like, what's the
(36:08):
pattern here? There's no pattern.
Like what are what are we doing here?
And now we have, I think it's a tough scene, but it's like a
really good scene and a fun scene, like all rolled into one
of Styles and the sheriff at home, like he's not even
remotely at school anymore. He's just like fuck it.
No, they all just went home and and so Cora's just like on
(36:28):
Styles bed and Styles and like the sheriff is like just sitting
in styles bedroom like OK son, what's going on?
And he's gonna be just helping him and styles.
He's like, I will load. Here we go.
Trying to start, like, a really hard conversation of like, hey,
the supernatural is real and here's all the evidence.
Yeah. And he's trying to tell the
(36:49):
sheriff, like, all those cases you couldn't solve, Kate and the
arson and Matt drowning and everything.
You've just never been able to see the whole board.
So he uses the chess board to belike, here's the whole board.
And he labels chess pieces as like werewolves and cannema and
(37:09):
Dirac. On her.
The Hunters and Deaton is an emissary as the chess pieces to
like try to visually show what'sthree seasons to his dad in like
15 minutes and. Like, I've really got to hand it
to the sheriff. He's like picking up on the
vocabulary and he's like remembering a bunch of words
that are using brand new to him and yes, good.
(37:30):
Yeah, he's, he's got it. He's just not into it.
He's like, OK, I I understand the words, but you're crazy.
Yeah. Like no, Styles does label Scott
as a black pawn and Derek as a black knight for the werewolves
just as like a a trivia. Beta Alpha.
(37:51):
I guess, yeah, same team though.Black.
Yeah, same team. But yeah, the sheriff is like
no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
No, no, no, no. And so Styles is like, all
right, I'm going to have to pullout the big guns.
And the big guns are Cora. And then Cora collapses on the
floor before she can shift. What has happened to Cora?
(38:13):
What is going on? I don't know.
Why is she not healing? What?
I what? What?
What, what, what, what, what? What?
Do we want to stay with Styles and Cora or go back to Alison
and Isaac? There's not a ton left with
styles and core I don't think. So obviously they go to the,
(38:34):
obviously they take her to the hospital because I don't think,
Oh yes, I mean, they don't know what to do, right?
Yeah, because the sheriff is like, no, we call the hospital.
This is what happens when peoplefall down.
Yeah, and I think at this point, even Styles is like, why isn't
she healing? I don't know how to fix this.
So Styles is like asking his dad, what did you see the night
at the bank when Scott was trying to save Deaton?
(38:56):
Which is a valid question because at the time, we were
like, did he not see Scott running into, like, a wall of
nothing? Yeah.
And the sheriff is like, I saw nothing and Styles, like, you
saw something you can't explain. And they're having this back and
forth in the middle of the hospital.
But it's something that has probably been brewing for quite
some time. Oh yeah.
(39:18):
That they have just been dancingaround and I would love to have
been given the opportunity to see scenes of them at home in
like really uncomfortable silence after a case or after a
fight with the werewolves being like, so my son is covered in
wounds again. Or it'd just be like what
(39:40):
happened, like a cat. Nothing, Dad.
Just this very like Styles knowing all this shit and the
sheriff like when the girl went disappearing, went disappearing,
disappeared in the woods and like he kind of saw something
but he didn't like and not beingable to ask his 17 year old son,
like what the fuck was that? Like you know more yeah than I
(40:03):
do. And he says the sheriff yells
like I am listening. I have been listening.
And Styles finally says you justdon't believe Mom would have
believed me. First of all, Ouch.
Ouch. Jeez.
Second of all, this is yet againmore evidence for magic styles.
(40:23):
Yes, because this there is this whole conversation about the
power of belief. It's like it's not, it's not
just you don't believe me, it's that you don't believe.
You don't believe at all? And I I'm magic styles, magic
styles, magic styles I. Wonder I wonder if this scene
too cause so much in fandom Styles's mom has magic yeah, and
(40:48):
I wonder if this scene helps helps finesse that of like mom
knew. Yeah.
She understood and you just didn't get it.
Yeah. But the scene, the scene is
rough. It hurts.
Everyone's hurting each other. Ouch, Kebibbles.
Also hurt is Cora at the hospital and Derek is sitting at
(41:08):
her bedside looking so broken because she is not healing.
She is hurt, he is hurt. I am hurt.
We, we are hurt. We are hurt.
Like they they are hurt Cora. Cora has like this whole, her
whole head is bandaged and Derekis just like sitting at her
bedside with her hand in his hand, just like about ready to
(41:31):
shake apart. And it's so fun every once in a
while to get reminded that Derekis a person 'cause, you know, he
was like the antagonist and thenhe was like the alpha.
And he's just been like this bigyour head for so long in this
show. And it's moments like this where
you're like, oh, yeah. But he's just a, he's just some
(41:52):
stupid kid. That's his baby sister.
He's just a brother. He's just a brother.
Come on now. And she's been missing for how
long? Like just showed up again.
And just about to lose her like he's, he's completely shattered
and so am I. Yeah, and Tyler Hakeland does.
Sad, sad face. Real good, Real real, real good,
(42:15):
Real good. Yeah, so back so back with the
new couple, Allison and Isaac, they Allison still thinks that
Chris is the one who's doing this.
They use the map to figure out where they think Mr. Westover
will be sacrificed, because the map apparently shows multiple
locations, so one being where the kidnapped victim will be
(42:37):
sacrificed and then where the body will be found.
So they go to the location on the map and Allison tells Isaac,
who is a werewolf, to stay behind her, which I thought was
funny. And I was like, oh that's cute.
And they go into some abandoned building.
I what? What is the economic status of
(42:58):
Beacon Hills with all these abandoned buildings?
Maybe they have like an old industrial district maybe.
Yeah, and there's just 2008 hit them hard and they just haven't
recovered yet. Yeah.
OK, Isaac smells blood, but because he left Derek's training
(43:18):
too early, he is not able to figure out exactly where it is.
But they do find the teacher strung up with the Dirac behind
it doing murdery shit. Murder, Murder.
Which is when one Mr. Christopher Argent shows up and
yells very sexually get down. Guns blazing.
(43:42):
Gun blazing, he does manage to double reload the guns with his
hands full. Yes.
They show they're like look he ejects the cartridges and then
reloads them without. I'm not sure how he reloads both
at the same time like he's dressed.
Very, very talented. I guess we have.
(44:03):
Like a holster that puts I I don't know, but yeah.
I don't know. I don't know.
So he's he comes out gun blazing, but the Dirac gets away
and I guess Mr. Westover is dead.
Probably, yeah. He looks pretty dead.
And they're like, oh, philosophers as in teachers.
(44:24):
And Tara used to teach middle school.
Yeah. So that's two down in the
philosopher category and all of the teachers are going to be at
the school recital. Oh no.
Oh, oh, that's not good. Oh, no.
Oh. And, and Chris and Allison have
a little like, hey, you, you're,you got in the way.
(44:45):
And Allison's like, you've been lying to me for two months.
Like, has he, though? He's just been keeping you,
like, safe. Yeah.
Have you been telling him the whole truth, Allison?
No. Then maybe we can give each
other a little bit of a break, huh?
Yeah, let's give each other somespace here.
You're both a little off your rockers.
So just smidgen. Like this isn't the healthiest
father daughter relationship on the planet.
(45:06):
No. So let's chill.
Just a little bit. Just chill, just a smidgen.
We're cool, guys, we're cool. So we have our recital.
We also, I think, forgot at the hospital that the sheriff wants
to get some files from Melissa. Speaking of flirting with
people. I did forget this.
(45:26):
We got a little flirty flirt between the sheriff and Melissa
because she says she's going to bend the rules for a handsome
face. Yes, she will.
What a handsome face he is. Does have a handsome face, so he
gets some records for a patient from 10 years ago who's got
slash marks all over her body. Hundreds of birds that were
flying into windows. Very weird.
Yeah, super weird. But yeah, little Melissa,
(45:49):
Sheriff action going on. Allison Isaac, the sheriff, and
Melissa, a little Styles Cora, but like, not yet.
Yeah, there is a little styles Cora and it's like, all right,
I'll give it to you. I'll give it to you.
We have. Bread crumbs everywhere.
Yeah, we do. We in fact have bread crumbs
(46:09):
everywhere 'cause they, they, they had the loaves of bread for
the last like 8 episodes, right?Yeah.
And in this episode, they just kind of shake the box a little
bit. Yeah.
So it's like we had a bunch of like Cora and Lydia and we still
do, but now we've also got some Cora and Styles and some Lydia
and Scott. And, you know, we had some Scott
(46:32):
and Allison and now we've got a little Allison and Isaac and we
had, you know, so they're just shaking the bread crumbs a
little bit. I love this for them.
Yeah, I like it. Nice setup for for 3B.
You got to. You got to lay the groundwork.
Indeed. So we got a recital, we got more
slow MO camera work going into the the auditorium.
(46:52):
So Ethan's there tying Danny's tie for him, fixing his hair,
popping minced. And it's very cute, even though
we there'd be ice. Breakers.
Even though we hate the twins and he tells Danny.
Like if something happens, you find me first.
Oh, he's worried about him. He's.
Very worried and he should be. Yeah, a little bit.
(47:16):
Lydia's there too. She is too involved.
Like she she wants to try to save a life instead of just find
a body, which I totally get at this point.
Absolutely. And then she and Scott, like,
have a little handhold because everyone's besties.
Because they're just having somevery soft.
(47:36):
Very soft. Oh, my God, Yeah.
I don't know why I'm the one whokeeps finding the bodies.
Maybe if I just stop trying to find it, I'll find them before
it happens. Enough time for Someone Like You
to do something about it. Lydia is putting all.
She's like, I am no longer you're the smartest person in
the room. I need help.
And in this moment, she's like asking Scott for help in a way
(48:00):
that she hasn't before. And I just.
It's the mark of such a strong and smart person to be like, I
don't know everything. Yeah, and I can't do it myself.
And you know, as we, you know, fandom, yes.
Should they kiss? Of course they should.
Everyone should be kissing all the time.
But just the journey of Scott and Lydia as friends, the way
(48:25):
that they come to trust each other and the way that they come
to rely on each other and to seek each other out is just like
I remember when you didn't know that they existed like 6 months
ago and now you're besties and Ilove this for you so much.
But yes, they should also kiss and.
She's got a room ready. She does.
(48:45):
She has her office, she's ready to go.
They've they've used her sex offers.
They use her. That's right.
It's fine. Yeah, he knows where it is.
So everyone's kind of rolling in.
We've got the Argents coming up to the school.
Chris doesn't seem to like the look of the wind.
No, it's got a very pensive lookwhen he gets out of the car.
And has like that power shot of the car.
It's like boom spawned my Toyota.
(49:06):
Yep, Yep, I gotta get those ad dollars in there.
Absolutely. And Alice and Isaac are just
like booking it into the school. They're just like running
around. They don't have time for
spawncon. They don't have time for
spawncon. Chris does though.
Yeah, Chris is there for it. Yeah, Scott Styles rolls in.
Scott sees Allison show up with Isaac and he's not into that.
(49:27):
But Isaac is sharing some like looks with Scott.
They're they, they have, they have quite a an eye exchange
there and I have questions. Like, Oh no.
Is Isaac more like are we more upset that Isaac showed up with
Allison or are we more upset that Isaac didn't show up with
(49:47):
Scott? Like is like, what are we?
Is Scott mad that Allison showedup with somebody or that Isaac
showed up with somebody? Both.
Both does. And like, so canonically, does
Scott now consider Isaac part ofhis pack?
Is he a little bit like this? Is my pack member doing
something with my ex-girlfriend?Maybe, maybe he does, but at
(50:12):
this point Derek is still an alpha and Isaac is, I think like
legally still Derek's beta for you know what I mean?
Yeah. No, I'm just, I'm just thinking
like the transfer paper, the paperwork hasn't gone through.
The power of attorney. But yeah, I don't, I don't know.
But I think by the way of like werewolf lore, Derek is
(50:34):
technically still an alpha and Isaac is technically still his
beta. OK.
But it's going to be like more like my roommate is now hanging
out with my ex-girlfriend. What's going on?
Yeah, they were roommates. Yeah, my roommate who I have a
massive crush on is hanging out with my ex-girlfriend who I'm
still a little bit in love with. What do I do?
(50:55):
Yeah, whoops. Whoopsies.
This feels like some sort of misconnections.
It does. Yeah, it does.
That's what the rest of the school is doing is like, well,
everything else is happening. The school is like, did you see
Isaac come in with Scott's ex-girlfriend Allison?
Who and didn't? Isaac does move in with the
Mccalls after his father died. Isn't that so weird?
Oh my God. So Speaking of being super,
(51:17):
super weird, you're looking at this all of these musicians on
the stage in this auditorium, right?
Yes. And they are all grown ass
adults. I don't know where they came
from, I. Don't know where they came from.
The only ones of any kind of school age vibes are Danny and
the brass section. Yes, because they were the ones
who walked out of the music room.
So I think they're like cast members and the rest are extras.
(51:40):
They're all actual musicians, but I just, I'm looking at the
like, who are all these adults? So the editor's note is that the
conductor at the concert is the Teen Wolf composer.
Ah yes. So celebrity in the house.
What? Dino something.
Yeah, Dino, I don't want to mispronounce his last name, so
I'm not going to try. It starts with an MI think.
(52:01):
Mennigan I don't. I'm so sorry, Sir.
Dino, Dino, Dino. Dino Yeah.
But yeah, that's our excellent pieces.
That's our boy. But yeah, these are.
These are, I don't know. Yeah, and.
I don't know where they came from.
So, you know, the concert startsand the music's going, and Lydia
gets a text from Aiden. Who needs to see her breakdown
(52:22):
right now? And she's like, because she can
see him like in the in the seatsand she's like the hell.
And he's like, so then he continues to text her and it's
like, I got to see you right now.
And she's like fucking fine. And then leaves.
And so Lydia's like wandering through the blue.
And then we go back to Aiden, who's talking to to Ethan,
(52:42):
because Aiden saw Lydia leave. And Aiden's like, shit, I don't
know what it is. I've lost my phone.
And so the audience is forced toask who's texting Lydia?
Oh, no. Oh.
No. And she walks alone into a dark
classroom. And that spooky Dirac chanting
picks up. And Jennifer Blake pops into
(53:05):
frame and cracks Lydia across the face with like a a staff, a
bat, something. Something so like Lydia Martin.
Lydia, middle name Martin. First of all, why are you going
to an empty classroom and not your office?
Yes, first of all. Yeah, you have a space for this.
Second of all, like, you heard the spooky chanting.
(53:28):
You heard the spooky chanting. Like what?
Stop it. Don't do that.
And hello, Miss Blake. Thank you for being evil.
Welcome. Welcome Jennifer Blake, the bad
guy. Welcome Welcome Jennifer Blake
to the Season 3 bad guy. Season 3 bad guys.
So we then flash to Lydia's actual boyfriends, Scott and
(53:48):
Styles, who are trying to find her because she's missing and
it's not working. And so Scott's using his like,
little werewolf eyes to try to find her and it's just, it's not
working. And the choir in the orchestra
has like started to chant in text and it's freaking out the.
Audience. Yeah.
So like all of a sudden like. Look at the.
(54:09):
Very. The rock chanting music is
coming from the stage. Yeah.
And it's like, oh, God, oh, God,oh God.
And so you look at the musiciansand they're all like, so intense
and like, it's even like watching Danny, like, play the
trumpet, like, really. And translates.
Yeah, yes, this is very cool. It's now diegetic sound.
It's it's coming from within thefilm, the film's world.
(54:31):
It's happening on screen. Yeah, Where does the lighting
come from? The same place the music does
from the stage. From the stage, yeah.
So the audience, I don't know. I don't know if I would leave.
But it it does feel like a moment when people should be
like, I gotta go to the bathroom.
I gotta get out of here and pee somewhere that isn't here.
I gotta. Go.
But the audience is freaking out.
But they they zoom in on Miss Morrell, who is also starting to
(54:54):
panic, like, because she knows alot of things, but this is one
of the things that she's reacting to.
Yikes. We go back to the sad, scary
blue classroom and Lydia is bleeding and trying to wake up
and Jennifer is evil. Jennifer's evil.
She's still there and she is monologuing.
Like every good villain does. Every good villain and she's
(55:17):
talking about like you call themsacrifices, but you do not
understand the word. It's an offering to a deity, a
sacred rite, a necessary evil like.
You don't know the alphas like Ido.
Like, oh, you know them. Oh, you know them.
Tell me. More.
(55:38):
Oh my God, girl, tell me more. Tell me.
More about your ex Babe, what's going on?
That's funny. If Lydia's response to Jennifer
was just like Oh my God girl, tell me more.
What? You don't know the Elvis like I
do. Oh my God, can you tell me about
them? Oh my God, Girly Pop, what's up?
(55:58):
I'm sorry, did the word girly pop just come out of your face?
It did. I'm very online.
It didn't feel right. I got to say it.
It felt fantastic. It felt wrong.
No, it felt good. It felt great.
Yeah, Lydia, wash my tongue off now.
Lo shush, Lydia is like sitting in this very sad chair about to
(56:20):
be dead. And Jennifer decides that, like,
Lydia would have made a great sacrifice, but you're not a
sacrifice. You're just a girl who knows too
much. And so then Jennifer immediately
tries to strangle Lydia with whatever kind of throat strangly
thing she's been using on every other throat strangly victim.
(56:42):
Does she keep that in her purse? She must.
Pocket. That's why jeans have pockets.
That's why they have pockets. Well, she always wears those
skirts. All of her skirts have pockets.
Yes, that's why we keep pockets. That's why the men don't want us
to have pockets. So we can't strangle them for
sacrifices, but. Lydia's like no.
Lydia's like, no thank you. And screams but like you have to
(57:03):
sit, you have to hear us say screams in like all caps with
sparkles. Yeah, she she's sparkle.
SCRE AM S Sparkles. Sparkle screams.
And she screams so loud that Scott and the rest of the
werewolves like, fall to their knees.
Derek hears her in the hospital. And Derek hears her across town
(57:25):
in the hospital. Hell yeah he does.
Now my goggles are firmly affixed back to my face.
Should he be able to hear that far?
Yes, he is an alpha. He Lydia, OK, I took it as one,
she's supernatural, so it's likeextra special screaming.
(57:47):
Two, he has now spent enough time with the McCall pack that
he is attuned to them. Yes, and like and he's an alpha
in his heightened senses or whatever.
I'm just saying like, does he care enough about Lydia that he
is now a more attuned to her? Yes, in my.
Heart in my heart, he is. And I yes, I think maybe for the
(58:09):
show it was like because Bansheethat.
Because supernatural, Yeah. Because supernatural, but I'm
also like. And because she's important to
styles. And because she's important to
Derek, too. And to Derek, yeah.
She's important to style, she's important to Scott, she's
important to Derek, She's important to Cora.
She's important to Cora. Like because Cora took care of
(58:29):
her. Yeah.
Or she took care of Cora. She took care of Cora everyone
that everyone that Derek loves also loves Lydia.
So like, she is important. But before my heart can get over
that, we flashback to Jennifer. And Jennifer, like, kind of
looks at her like, Oh my God, girl.
She was impressed. She was like, oh.
(58:50):
I'm here now and Jennifer. Jennifer lets us know.
She reveals to us that Lydia is a banshee.
The wailing woman. A banshee right before my eyes.
I pulled from Wikipedia just in case people didn't know a
(59:10):
banshee quote. Woman of the Fairies is a
supernatural being in Irish and other Celtic folklore whose
mournful keening or wailing, screaming or lamentation at
night was believed to foretell the death of a member or the
family of the person who heard the spirit that is a banshee.
(59:31):
Lydia screams death. Lydia screams for death.
Yeah, we will not be do adding adeath scream to the.
Podcast. Absolutely not, but please feel
free to play one in your own mind, yeah?
So yeah, Jennifer knows what sheis, tells us who she is, and now
(59:52):
we do not have to worry about Lydia Martin, for she is a
special. 'Cause she is special.
She's capital S sparkly special now.
She is also of the unique and special children of
Supernatural, of Supernatural ofTeen Wolf.
And it's also cool because Jennifer totally has her next
(01:00:12):
victim ready to go, her next sacrifice, because the music on
the stage swells to a peak and everyone's like pounding away on
their instruments and we focus in on the pianist.
Yes. Where a piano wire snaps and
just like grots her across the throat.
(01:00:33):
Yep, just which. What's wrong?
Yikes. So everyone's like, Oh my God,
it starts getting up and runningaway.
So my favorite thing about this is that the entire audience
stands up and runs to the back of the room while Allison is
trying to run to the front of the room.
So she's like fighting through people trying to get to the
front of the room. So Allison and Chris and I think
(01:00:53):
Isaac kind of get to see her at the front of the room and she's
like leaking mistletoe. Yeah, OK.
That. Out of her throat wound.
It was a little confusing because the angle, the camera
angle was not great. If you like pause and zoom in,
there's like white fluid coming from her mouth.
(01:01:14):
Yeah. And, and Chris is like, or is it
Allison? One of them is like mistletoe
and you're like, but mistletoe is green.
So I guess there's like a littlestuff in the white.
So at some point, mistletoe got into her body.
Yeah, 'cause that's what happened to Danny too.
When he threw it up. 'Cause he threw up the
mistletoe. So.
(01:01:36):
She's leaking mistletoe. Big Yikes.
Because we don't know anything about the pianist.
We don't. We don't know how this happened.
We don't know why. How Anyone got mistletoe?
Yeah, she's just a teacher at school, like.
Yep. Rap.
So sorry this happened to you because sacrifices like you
didn't. Yep.
Need, yeah. Because sacrifices.
(01:01:58):
So we make it to like the the emotional peak of the episode
because of everybody who comes to rescue screaming Lydia who
busts in the door. Sheriff Szilinski.
But the sheriff of Beacon Hills, and he is immediately like, I
don't understand the supernatural bullshit, but here
I am because Lydia is important to everyone who's important to
(01:02:21):
me. And so Lydia confronts the
sheriff, confronts Jennifer, andJennifer stabs him with a
throwing knife. Yeah, she just throws a knife
right into his, like, shoulder, arm, chest area.
Yeah. Stop it.
Don't do that. Don't hurt him.
Absolutely not. But then Scott finally arrives
and so werewolf Scott comes to confront Jennifer and my note
(01:02:43):
says I guess the dog's out of the bag.
Yeah, 'cause the the sheriff looks right at him.
'Cause the sheriff looks right at him and he's like, oh, I
guess Stiles was right. Whoops, oops, oopsies.
And so Scott gets like yeaded into into the chairs.
Who stacks chairs like this? Anyone looking for a moment
where all the chairs fall down like is what it was?
(01:03:08):
Like I know it was just a plot device but like dude.
Yeah, yeah, I think that was just a moment.
So stuff falls down. Yeah.
Jennifer's not even transformed and she just like gently pushes
and he was flying across the room.
He gets heated. It's fantastic.
She is so strong. She's just ready and we learn
(01:03:28):
that she's strong and all the other cool bits and pieces
because of her sacrifices. So the sheriff like shoots her
in the leg and it just immediately heals and she is
like her joking. I'm like, huh, maybe I should've
done philosophers first, like, you know, learning and
knowledge. And so she's gotten all of her
strength from the warriors and her healing ability from the
(01:03:49):
healers and, and you know, like etcetera, etcetera, etcetera.
And so she's she's like super boosted.
She is powered up and ready to kill.
And then she decides for reasonsto smooch on the sheriff.
I didn't. I I no leave him alone like why?
Why do this? Especially it's just because
(01:04:09):
they she needed something to show for the virgins if the
virgins give her. It gave her ick.
It gave her the ick is correct, but she smooches the sheriff and
then we finally see Styles who makes it to the room.
Yeah, poor Styles. He gets locked out of the room
by like a desk up against the door and has to watch, unable to
(01:04:31):
get in. Yeah, watch his dad get, you
know, attacked and watch Scott get attacked and watch Lydia get
mostly, mostly tried to get dead.
Yep. Yeah.
And he finally like breaks into the room and Scott kind of like
wakes up, but the Dirac has disappeared with the sheriff
through the window. She stole the sheriff.
(01:04:54):
I stole the sheriff. But I only murdered the deputy.
You're right, exactly. But she definitely did shoot the
deputy. Well, didn't shoot her, but.
Killed. Him killed, killed her dead.
So all of a sudden we are down to the final group of sacrifices
and the sheriff is now kidnappedby the DEROC, who is Derek's
(01:05:18):
girlfriend, and somebody tried to kill Lydia.
Who's going to tell Derek? Who's going to tell Derek
because his sister is dying and his girlfriend is evil?
Yeah, that poor, that poor, thatpoor guy.
Is it who's it's like OK. Who's dropped straws?
Who's the girl there? Oh boy, oh, oh boy.
(01:05:41):
So this is a rough episode for people.
I mean, I, I like this episode because I I like when you
finally start revealing things and people get in the know.
And so sorry to the sheriff, butlike, it was time for him to
know what the fuck is going on. Correct.
Yeah, I'm stoked. Yeah, I'm absolutely stoked.
This is great. I love this episode.
(01:06:01):
We've got Scott and Lydia doing real cute things.
We've got Allison with her like Tumblr core murder outfit, her
and just Isaac flirting forever.I just.
It's great. It's great.
Yeah, I mean, it sucks for a lotof people.
Oh. Yeah, no, I'm not saying on a
date for anybody, but. Like, canonically, this is a
horrible day. Yeah, canonically it's a
horrible day, but it's a great episode.
(01:06:23):
Yeah. So good, so good, so good, so
good. Thinking too, like, you know, I,
I don't know how many people were in this auditorium, but a
lot of people just saw the band get a little bit possessed,
although they're not going to think they were possessed, but
they were possessed a little. Bit, yeah.
And then they saw the the pianist get throat slashed by a
piano wire. Yeah, and and like nothing's
(01:06:47):
they're not going to think anything of it.
They're just like, oh, that was fucking weird.
And they're just going to go about their day, and that's
weird. That is a little weird, yeah.
Sucks to live in Beacon Hills honestly.
A little bit, yeah. Like you think you're coming to
recital to honor the multiple deaths that had happened at the
school and another one happens. And another one happens.
(01:07:11):
Like oh shit. Oh shit.
Again. And another one.
And another one. Who's going to pass their Sats
at the school? Not me, man.
It's just, you know, feel for them.
I do. So, yeah.
I almost asked you what your favorite line was because I
(01:07:31):
can't keep my brain on straight.Yeah, we're in the thick of it.
You got to remember for people listening that this is a 3A and
we have a 3B. This is not a 12 episode season.
This is a 24 episode season. Technically yes, but 3A there
are some major, There's just some differences between 3A3.
(01:07:52):
I know it's hard, yeah. Technically speaking, legal
speaking, it's it's a it's a 24 hour it's a 24 season episode
season freaking a stick. But look, it's not like we.
Talk for a living, shush. Not for a living.
God, if we had to do this for a living.
Actually, I can do this for a living.
Why not? It'd be fun.
Yeah, I'd need, I'd need a different office set up I think,
(01:08:13):
but that's. Hire us permanently.
Hire us permanently. I don't want to go to an office.
If you just want to pay us to talk into your ear faces, here
you go. Listen, if someone wants to pay
me to talk about evil on Paramount Plus, I will do that.
Sounds like no one is talking about the show and I adore it.
Really. Yeah, even know that it exists.
(01:08:35):
No see, but I can't get. Paramount Plus.
I know. So that's the thing that sucked.
It started on CBS and then it went to Paramount Plus.
But now the first two seasons are airing on Netflix.
Not the whole show, just the first two seasons.
But technically it's there are four.
I think there might be a like a mini fifth season, but it's kind
of who knows. But technically it's been
(01:08:56):
cancelled, but people are hopingit'll get picked up by a new.
Network. Good luck.
Sorry dude. So good.
Well, look out for evil on the rocks coming soon.
OK, But it's like it's got all the things that we like because
it's a Catholic priest, a skeptic scientist, and a she's a
(01:09:17):
psychologist. They investigate potential
hauntings for the Catholic Church.
Cool, I do like all those things.
Demons and exorcisms, but like are they actually demons and
exorcisms and ghosts and shit orare they like explainable by
science? Explainable by science.
Or are they actually spooky shitand once it moves to Paramount
(01:09:42):
Plus they start swearing? Because it was on CBS of course.
Yeah. Anyway, watch Evil.
Love it anyway. Styles would love it.
Yes, I'm sure he would. Anyway, that's my soapbox, yes.
So Teen Wolf is a show. One that we like very much and
(01:10:03):
that nobody pays us to talk about.
We just do it because we love it.
'Cause we're obsessive. I mean, I'm, I'm excited to
watch the rest of the season. It's been a long time, so I'm
stoked. And my personal scene that lives
forever in the walls of my brainis coming up in a few episodes,
so I'm very ready. The elevator, yeah.
(01:10:25):
I didn't even have to ask. Yeah, I am ready.
I am ready. Like we got, we got our bad guy,
number one, our bad guy #2 we have, you know, a showdown
inevitably coming between bad guys one and two.
We got to figure out what Lydia's going to do with your
new banshee powers. It's going to be, it's going to
be amazing. It's going to be great.
I'm excited. I hope the people listening are
(01:10:45):
excited as well. Yes and yeah.

You can just talk ships. Yeah, Ships that should have
sailed, ships that. Should have sailed.
That's the one we need to do. That's on.
