First we need to begin with a foundational understanding that our hopes and expectations for a happy, calm, picture perfect family Christmas run counter to reality for most people. Christmas is a challenging time for many people for many reasons including financial stress, seasonal depression, painful memories, unmet expectations, and the loss of loved ones. It's okay to not-be-okay.
