Lauren of Fashion Grunge and friends as we talk 90s movies, fashion, music, pop culture, and a dash of reality tv!
To close out the scary October month, we're talking a little known late 90s stoney comedy called Idle Hands. This time I've got Ashley and Britney of Black Girl Film Club to get more into this sub genre that we love. We get into how this became such a cult hit, the Devon Sawa of it all, and just how this really is a hidden gem of a film.
Off-topic rants include: Jessica Alba, The Simpsons, Davey Havok of AFI

For years I was always freaked out when I saw the cover for the film, Leprechaun. I had it in my head that it was some weird twisted horrific tale and I had been saving it for the pod for this very moment. Needless to say I was so wrong and this movie was hilarious and I can't wait to see more of the series.
Mikey is along on this episode as we laugh at the many quotes, hilarious transportation modes, and get into why Jennifer Anis...
Yep, it's finally the time to review the collections from 'Fashion Month'. Me and Jai were looking forward to so many debut collections and we get into most of them. From Matthieu Blazy at Chanel, Louise Trotter at Bottega, Jonathan Anderson for Dior, Glenn Martens for Margiela, etc..
We also talk our personal faves of the season and some fails that just didn't quite measure up for us.

I'm back! Yes, it's been a while and there is no more perfect film to return back to my routine than Paris, Texas from 1984.
This is my first ever watch and it would be an understatement to say that it's been a long time since cinema has moved me the way this did. I always have seen stills and thought it was from a fashion shoot or a photo spread and to see these image...
We're starting off October right with not really a spooky one but a classic sub genere of horror, creature features. Charles picked this one and he gives his rundown on reasons for his choice and I come into this not knowing anything but leaving with a strong appreciation for Kevin Bacon in cowboy attire.
off topic rants: sequels, DVD sales numbers, cult movies and actors

Just a few weeks ago I connected with an old friend from back in my NY days. We quickly got on to how much we love The Real Housewives. Listen to me and my friend Callum, a creative arts therapist talk about the many dynamics of women from multiple cities in the franchise. It was great to get his perspective and we mainly talk about what we think is one of the current standouts, Salt Lake City.
We give our rundown and opinion on th...

If you can believe it I've gone my whole life without seeing the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers movie. This is yet another one to check off on the list of nostalgia watches. I remember watching the tv series in the first season but boy did this world really expand! Me and Mikey are back to talk the ultimate camp movie about mid 30s teens of Angel Grove that somehow everyone knows they are superheroes? We talk about the film being sav...
Well, it was high time we take a bite out of the second Jurassic Park movie of the 90s. Widely known as a far inferior sequel, (and they're right) but it was directed by Spielberg so how bad could it be? Me and Charles take the opportunity to tell you exactly how bad and just all the many reasons this was doomed from the start.
There is no better co-host than Charles to talk about the films that electrified him as a youth seeing th...
It's time for another dip into fashion hot topics and picking up with Project Runway Season 21 (on Patreon). Some of the recent happenings we cover are the Wisdom Kaye Miu Miu debate, 72 Magazine thoughts, Alexander Wang comeback?, and the new editor of Vogue and what that means.

This has to be one of the most visually stunning films I have seen in the past six months. I saw it in the cinema for New Years Day and it basically set the tone for my relationship with film in 2024.
Me and Mikey are here to talk about how we loved this film and how we haven't seen anything like it. Emma Stone is just a standout and we talk about the evolution of her ...
During this episode I discovered a new genre: 'domestic friendship bi- thriller'. This is literally one of my favorite genres. In a film starring Rob Lowe giving Lifetime movie villain and (my baby) James Spader acting for his life it's bound to have some heat. Me and Charles talk about how they tried to make corporate language seductive, the amazing interiors of 80s apartments, and more talk of homoerotic thrillers.
Off-topic rants...
On this supplement episode to the post I go more in depth on how I found those 'white whale' issues or books for my collection.

If you're at all still tapped into the Love Island world then you know these times are when things really amp up. After the Islanders leave the villa there are interviews, shade thrown back and forth, and all around chaos. Some may even say this is when the show actually starts. Now Ashley of Black Girl Film Club is back on the show as someone who is just as chronically online as me to talk about what's ALLEGEDLY* been going on sin...
It's been a while since we've done a rundown on the fashion world and recent happenings. So Jai is back on the pod and in this episode we talk the Jonathan Anderson debut at Dior, Glenn Martens at Margiela Couture, Meryll Rogge at Marni, Anna Wintour "stepping down", and our confusion about Kylie Jenner for Miu Miu?

William Phelps reopens the file — uncovering new witnesses, hidden evidence, and a shocking web of deaths that may all be connected.
