Are you tired of getting hit with everything in life?
Here's how to block every blow. Welcome to Father.
Like the Father, I'm Alec, and today we're containing our Armor
of God series, and we're talkingabout Ephesians 616.
This is what Paul says. In addition to all this, take up
the shield of faith with which you can extinguish all flaming
arrows of the evil. Faith isn't just believing in

God, it's trusting in Him in themiddle of the storm.
The Roman shield Paul talks about was massive.
It's huge. Big enough to cover your whole
body. Soldiers could even lock them
together, creating a wall of protection.
Life is going to be launching flaming errors at you.
Temptations, lies, anxiety, setbacks.

Those arrows are meant to burn through your confidence, scorch
your hope, and make you retreat.But the shield of faith puts out
the fire before it can do any damage.
Faith isn't pretending that the problems don't exist.
It's refusing to let them defineyour reality.
It's saying, I know my God is bigger than what's in front of

me. You understand that as fathers,
our faith Shields more than justus.
Our kids are watching, you know,And when we hold up our our
faith in hard times, they learn what it looks like to trust in
God and what it shows to have faith in him.
Your faith becomes a covering over your home.

And some of the hardest times, those arrows are invisible.
You know, their battles were fighting alone and in silence.
And instead of ignoring them, it's about facing them.
This week, when fear or discouragement shows up, I want
you to speak your faith out loud.
