Speaker 1 (00:00):
Well, hey, my name is Nate Hiltonkamp and I'm coming
to you from Waco, texas.
Let's go, let's go, let's go,come on, hey, it's so good to be
with you guys this wholeweekend.
I want to start with this.
When you're in ministry, youspend a lot of time in one place
, and that one place isChick-fil-A.
You take a lot of meetingsthere.
We go, come on, yeah, you takea lot of meetings at Chick-fil-A

(00:21):
.
So I spend like multiple daysof the week at Chick-fil-A, and
specifically at this oneChick-fil-A.
A couple years ago, I walk intothis Chick-fil-A and go up to
the counter ready to place myorder, and as soon as I walk up,
the person behind the counterwas really excited to see me.
And they just go Ben, so gladyou're here.

(00:42):
May I take your order Now?
As I just said before, that'snot my name.
My name's Nate.
He got my name wrong and inthat moment I've got a decision
to make hey, do I correct him ordo I just go along with it?
And it's like yeah, whatever,it's not that big of a deal.
I'll say my name's Ben for thisorder.
Place my order.
Spicy chicken sandwich withCoke Zero.
Go, sit down, don't think muchof it.
Two days later I walk back inthe Chick-fil-A and I see that

(01:05):
he's working the counter againand I'm just like I can't go up
to him again.
But I stand in line and show upand I get placed with this guy
again.
I'm just like I hope he forgotabout me and he goes Ben, so
glad you're back.
May I take your order today?
And I'm like sure, spicychicken sandwich with the Coke
Zero.
And I take my meal and headback.

(01:25):
Now, from that point on, likethat's my name, like whenever I
walk into Chick-fil-A it's likethat's just who I am now, that's
who he called me.
So that's apparently who I amso truly for.
Like the next few months, whenever someone would ask for
my name there, I'd be like well, yeah, it's Ben.
I don't really know how thateven happened, but after those

(01:46):
next few months I'm goingthrough the drive-thru by myself
and they're at the iPad andthey're like can I take your
order?
I'm like yeah, here's what Iwant.
And they're like hey, what'syour name?
And I tell them and then I afriend who was working there and
he goes hey, nate, I'm so sorryabout this.

(02:07):
This really rarely happens atChick-fil-A, but we actually
misplaced your order.
So could you tell me what youwant and we'll remake it really
fast.
And I'm like, by chance, isthere an order for the name of
Ben?
And he goes oh yeah, that's thenext one.
And I'm like, hey, Iaccidentally maybe said that my
name was Ben to the persontaking my order and I'll never

(02:28):
forget it.
He just took the bag and likehanded it to me.
Like what in the world is goingon?
And I just remember thatfeeling of driving away that day
, going.
I am sick and tired of going bythe wrong name.
I'm sick and tired of allowingthis person who works at
Chick-fil-A to just totallyrename me.
So for the rest of time, whenever I've walked into

(02:49):
Chick-fil-A, I will proudly saymy name is Nate.
I refuse to allow him to renameme.
Now, that's a ridiculous story.
It's a hundred percent truestory.
But I bet many of you in thisroom here tonight have a similar
story.
I bet you have taken on adifferent name, a name that is
not true about you, because Ibet some of you have taken on a

(03:12):
new name from maybe it's ateacher or a coach who said you
know, you're just not reallygood enough to make the team.
You're just not good enough tomake the grades and you have
subconsciously taken on the nameforgettable.
Or or maybe you've allowed anex-boyfriend the next girlfriend
to rename you.
They said you know, I don'treally enjoy my time when I

(03:34):
spend it with you and maybeyou've just subconsciously taken
on the name unwanted.
Or maybe you've allowed aparent to rename you like like
they said something in passing, something like you know you
don't really look like the othergirls in your grade and that
has been lodged in your brainand you've taken on the name
unattractive.

(03:55):
Or maybe you've allowed a sinto name you, a sin that you've
been stuck in for years and youhave subconsciously taken on the
name broken.
Here's what I came here to tellyou tonight you have taken on a
name from someone who has nopower to name you.
You've been living with a namefrom someone who has no

(04:15):
authority to name you, becausethere's only one person who
actually has the authority toname you and it's God himself,
and he's given us a name inscripture.
He's given us many names inscripture, but there's one
specific name that I want topass along with you tonight
because it's impacted me, and myhope and my prayer is that it
would change your life and howyou view yourself.
So what we're going to do iswe're going to be in the Bible

(04:37):
tonight.
We're going to be in the Bibleall weekend talking about how
God changes you.
Specifically, tonight we'regoing to talk about how he
changes your name and we'regoing to be in 1 Peter, chapter
1, the very beginning of 1 Peter, chapter 1.
1 Peter is towards the very endof the New Testament and it's
right before 2 Peter.
So, if that's helpful to you, find 2 Peter and go a few pages

(05:01):
before and you're going to find1 Peter, chapter 1, and it
starts in verse 1.
It says this Peter, an apostleof Christ Jesus to God's elect
exiles scattered throughout theprovinces of Pontus, galatia,
cappadocia, asia and BithyniaNow, if you know geography, all

(05:21):
of that is modern day Turkeyright now.
Then he says who have beenchosen according to the
foreknowledge of God, the Father, through the sanctifying work
of the Spirit, to be obedient toJesus Christ and sprinkled with
his blood.
Grace and peace be yours inabundance.
Now, there's a lot there, but Iwant to focus in on the really
interesting name that he spokeover the Christians, the people

(05:45):
that he was writing to.
At the very beginning, he putsthese two words that are really
contradictory.
They're opposite things.
He says that he's writing tothe elect exiles.
Really, what that means is he'ssaying I'm writing to the
chosen, unchosen ones.
And this is the first thingthat we can learn tonight from

(06:06):
God's word, point number one inJesus we are elect exiles.
That's our name.
We are the elect exiles.
Now, what does that mean?
And in order to understand whatthat name means, I want to
break down what both of thosewords mean.
First, that first word meansthat first word that's elect or
chosen.

(06:26):
I want to show you what thatmeans by telling you about one
of my favorite memories.
While I was in college, my wifeand I we went to Baylor which,
if you're looking for a schoolto go to, don't go to DBU like
them, go to Baylor, like me,much better place.
And we met at Baylor and we hadjust gone out to dinner and we

(06:47):
were driving back to Baylor'scampus.
We were driving down what'sessentially Main Street in Waco,
and we stopped at a stoplightand didn't really think anything
of it.
But we're just at thisstoplight waiting for the light
to turn green, and I'm justtalking with my girlfriend,
adelie, and really not thinkinganything of it.
But as I'm talking to her, Irealized that the car next to us

(07:11):
is trying to get our attention.
It's this person.
She's driving by herself andshe's just going hey, hey, hey,
hey.
I'm just like what in the worldis going on?
I hope this light turns green.
Like I want to get out of here.
I don't like being in thissituation.
And she's just going hey, hey, hey.
And eventually she opens thedoor of her car, starts getting

(07:33):
out of her car.
She's going hey, hey, hey.
And being the brave andcourageous man I am, I just I
rolled down my girlfriend'swindow and I was like, if she's
going to fight us, you're goingto take the first punch.
And so I rolled down the windowand she just goes hey, I need
you to know I have never seen aman look at a girl the way

(07:53):
you're looking at that girl.
If you don't put a ring on herfinger, you're crazy.
100% true story, only in Waco, texas.
I just remember that feeling.
I remember the way I looked atmy girlfriend then because the
whole time I was with her, thewhole time I was dating her, I
was like I cannot believe thatAdelie Lamberth has chosen me.

(08:15):
Like out of all the guys atBaylor, she chose me.
I want to be a pastor.
I'm not even going to make abunch of money.
I know I'm attractive.
I'm not like that attractive.
Though, like of all the guys, she chose me Whenever I was with
her.
I just couldn't get over thatfact.
And here's the reality.

(08:35):
Oftentimes in our relationshipwith Jesus we're like, okay,
I've got a lot going on, but Ijust I want to choose Jesus
today.
I want to choose Jesus today.
I want to choose Jesus today.
I want to choose Jesus today.
I want to choose Jesus thisweekend.
So I'm going to go to this Dnow.
I just want to choose Jesuswith my life.
And if that's your thoughtprocess and your relationship

(08:55):
with Jesus, you have thedynamics of that relationship
all mixed up, because in yourrelationship with him it's not
okay.
I've got to choose Jesus, I'vegot to choose Jesus, I've got to
choose Jesus, I've got tochoose Jesus.
It's.
I can't believe.
He chose me Like the God of theuniverse, the king of kings,

(09:17):
the one who has so much powerthat he spoke the world into
existence, new existence.
He so loved me that he gave uphis one and only son to be born
in a manger, to live 33 perfectyears, only to be arrested,
crucified, hung up on a tree, todie and then rise again so that

(09:37):
I, me, could live with himforever and ever and ever.
Like that should blow our minds.
Not I have to choose him, but, holy smokes, he chose me.
So that's one part of our name.
We are chosen, elected by God,but we're also exiles.

(10:00):
We're the elect exiles.
That means when you realizethat you are chosen by God, the
world's not gonna really chooseyou.
Because when you realize thatyou are chosen by God, the
world's not going to reallychoose you.
Because when you feel at homein God's presence, you'll begin
to not feel at home here.
That word for exile can alsomean foreigner.
It's describing that feeling.
If you've ever flown somewhereoverseas and you land for the
very first time and you walkthrough the airport and you're

(10:22):
just hit with a whole lot ofdifferent.
You don't understand thelanguage that people are using,
you don't understand really thefood that people are eating and
you don't really understandwhere everyone's trying to get
to, because you don't reallyknow where you are like.
You feel like a foreigner there.
What Peter is saying is that'show we should feel here, because

(10:43):
this world is not our home, ourcitizenship is not ultimately
here, but it's in heaven.
So while we live on this earth, everything should feel
different here, like weshouldn't understand the
language that people use, weshouldn't understand the songs
that people listen to.
We shouldn't understand thethings that people consume,
whether it's entertainment,alcohol, drugs.
We shouldn't understand whereeveryone else is trying to get

(11:04):
to, whether it's to look acertain way or to be on a
certain team or to have acertain social status.
Because this world is not ourhome.
And since you're a foreignerhere, since you don't do the
things the world does, the worldwill treat you like an outcast.
The world will treat you likeyou're forgotten.
The world will treat you likeyou're forgotten.

(11:25):
The world will make you feellike you're unwanted, but that's
okay, Because you're not livingfor their acceptance.
You're living from hisacceptance.
The God of the universe wantsyou, so who cares if they don't?
You're good.
And when we see the decisionsthat the world makes, that your

(11:48):
friends make, it should feellike they're living by a
different playbook.
It should feel like they'retaking a different set of orders
.
Because they are, because theworld takes its orders from the
prince of darkness and we takeour orders from the king of
kings.
Of course, it feels like we'reforeigners here.
So point number one, the firstthing you need to know about you

(12:09):
if you're a believer in Jesus.
In Jesus, we are elect, exile.
So that's who we are.
Let me show you really whatthat means for you in your life
To keep reading.
In verse three, it says thispraise be to the God and Father
of our Lord, jesus Christ.
In his great mercy, he hasgiven us a new birth into a
living hope through theresurrection of Jesus Christ

(12:31):
from the dead and into aninheritance that can never
perish, spoil or fade.
This inheritance is kept inheaven for you.
So he's talking aboutinheritance.
Now, if my name was Nate Bezosor Nate Zuckerberg or Nate Musk,
what would you be able toconclude about me?
That I'm rich.

(12:53):
Why?
Not because I've done anything, but because my dad has.
You'd be able to conclude thatI have access to what my You'd
be able to conclude that I haveaccess to what my father has.
And in the same way, in verse 3, it says that we have a new
birth into a living hope.
Really, we've been reborn intoa new family, which means my

(13:15):
name is no longer just NateHilgenkamp, but Nate Hilgenkamp,
child of God.
And if that's my name, what canyou conclude about me?
That I've got access to all mydad has.
And that's the second thingthat we can learn about who we
are.
In Jesus, we are given animperishable inheritance.
In Jesus, we're given animperishable inheritance.
Let me talk about that for aminute.

(13:36):
This text says that we receivean inheritance that is
imperishable.
What does that mean?
Well, I want to take you backlike five years, and you guys
probably don't even rememberthis, but during COVID, like in
2020, there was something calledNFTs.
Do any of you even rememberthat?
Yeah, they really took off.
They're like these screenshotsof the internet that were for

(13:57):
sale and people were justspending so much money on them.
In fact, here's a picture ofone of them that was for sale.
It's a screenshot of the firstever tweet from the guy who
invented Twitter, which is now X, and so this went up for sale
and in 2021, it sold for $2.9million $2.9 million, which I

(14:21):
just don't really understand, but someone could buy that to
own that personally, even thoughI found that on Google Images
for $2.9 million, which I justdon't really understand.
But someone could buy that, toown that personally, even though
I found that on Google Imagesfor $2.9 million.
Shortly thereafter like a coupleyears later really not that
long ago he put it up for saleand put it up for auction and he
had the bidding start at $48million, $48 million, $48

(14:43):
million.
He bought that for $2.9 million.
A couple years later puts it upfor $48 million.
Now, after all, the bidding wasconcluded, the highest bid was
$280.
Not $280 million, $280.

(15:04):
Now think about this.
Think about how foolish hewould feel.
He spent 2.9 million dollars ona depreciating asset, something
that really, as soon as hebought it, became essentially
worthless.
He wasted his life savings onsomething that wasn't worth
anything.
I can't imagine making that sortof investment.

(15:26):
And yet the reality is many ofus are making that exact same
investment with our life rightnow, except it has much greater
implications, because for manyof us, we are investing our life
in sports, in school, inlooking a certain way, in
getting in a certain socialstatus.
And here's what you need toknow those things will leave you
bankrupt and school and lookinga certain way and getting in a

(15:46):
certain social status.
And here's what you need toknow those things will leave you
bankrupt because those thingswill all perish, spoil and fade.
They will leave you empty.
On the other hand, jesus issaying hey, life with me.
I will give you an inheritancethat can never perish, spoil or
fade, and one day in heavenwe're gonna be given more than
we could possibly imagine, andnothing can change that.

(16:10):
Your performance can't touch it, the world can't touch it,
because God is holding on to itfor you.
Now.
That fact and knowing whatwe're going to receive later
should change our life now.
It should be such a stressrelief in our life now.
And yet oftentimes it's not.

(16:31):
And maybe it's because we don'tactually believe what we're
saying, because I know that forthe vast majority in this room,
you'd say you're a Christian.
You'd say, hey, I'm a believerin Jesus.
I'm at a D now, of course I am.
But look again at the text.
In verse 3, it says that theChristian is the one who has
been given a new birth into aliving hope.

(16:53):
And here's where I think manyof us need to wake up.
We've been lulled to sleep,thinking we're Christians.
Meanwhile, we've put our hopeinto things that are dying, like
your hope.
The thing you daydream about isthat this would be the year
that you finally get into adating relationship.
Or your hope is that maybe thisyear this would be the year

(17:13):
where you'd reach a certainsocial status at your school.
Or your hope?
The thing that you want morethan anything else is to reach a
certain following on socialmedia.
Here's what you need to know.
If that's your hope, you have adying hope, not a living hope.
And when our hope is in thisworld?
That's confusing, because ifyou're a Christian, you cannot

(17:34):
live this life for this life, because when you do, it makes it
look like you don't believe inthe next life, because, on the
other hand, the Christian is theone that has a living hope.
Now, what does that mean?
That means that you've placedyour hope in something or
someone who is alive and cannotdie.
Well, who could that possiblybe?
Looking again at the text, itsays that you have a living hope

(17:56):
through the resurrection ofJesus Christ from the dead.
That means that you've placedall your hope not on the things
of this world, but you've placedall your eggs in the basket of
Jesus Christ, that he so lovedyou that he gave up everything
for you, that he lived, died androse again.
And as he rose again, hedefeated death, not just for him

(18:18):
, but for you, when he wasraised to life.
He didn't just raise himself tolife, but when you place your
hope and faith in him, he alsobrings you to life as well, and
you are reborn into a brand newfamily and you receive a brand
new name.
And when you receive the nameof Nate Hilgenkamp, fill in your

(18:41):
name child of God.
It's a remembrance of I've gotaccess to all my dad has.
What he has access to, what hewon through his victory over
death, is eternal life, and oneday he's going to give it over
to you.
That's the second thing we canlearn In Jesus.
We have been given animperishable inheritance.

(19:01):
Now I want to show you oneother benefit that we have as
believers in Jesus.
Let's read again the end ofverse 4, and then we're going to
finish out by reading verse 5.
Peter writes this thisinheritance is kept in heaven
for you who, through faith, areshielded by God's power, until
the coming of the salvation thatis ready to be revealed at that

(19:24):
last time.
You see, this is one of themost important parts of Peter's
teaching, because we make it toour salvation not because of who
we are, but because of who heis.
Looking again at the text, itsays that we make it to the
coming of our salvation that isready to be revealed in the last
time.
How?
By the shielding of God's power.

(19:47):
And this is point number three, third thing that we need to
understand in Jesus we areshielded by God's power and I
think this is an example of whatthis looks like.
A couple of summers ago, my wifeand I my daughter we got to go
to Branson Missouri.
A couple summers ago, my wifeand I and my daughter, we got to
go to Branson Missouri and ifyou've never been there, it's
really a beautiful place and wegot to go on a.

(20:07):
We were out of camp there andwe got to go on this boat and
here's a picture of it.
Yeah, this is my daughter atthe time and she's a little bit
older now and it was an amazingboat ride, great scene.
But what you might be able totell in this picture is that
there's actually like some fogcoming off the water.
Now that's happening all summer.

(20:28):
It was a really, really weirdphenomenon, but here's why it
was incredibly hot outside, likewhen this picture was taken,
it's like 95 degrees, but thatwater was freezing cold because
that water was actually takenfrom the bottom of another lake
to form a river.
So this water is so ice coldwhile it's really hot outside.
It creates this really weirdphenomenon that as you're

(20:50):
driving down the boat, thatactually feels really, really
cold, which is fine if you'relike an adult, but for my
two-year-old at the time, whilewe were going down the boat,
we'd been on the water for about45 minutes she just loses her
mind and she's just like Dad,it's too cold, take me back, I

(21:10):
want to go back to camp.
Can you take me back, dad?
It's too cold, can we turnaround?
Can we go back?
And eventually I'm just likeyes, yes, we'll do anything to
go back, let's just go back.
So our driver eventually turnedaround and started taking us
back and she's just going dad, Iwant to go back, I want to go
back, it's way too cold.
And as she's doing that, eventually I just pick her up

(21:38):
and I turn my back to the windand over and over again, I just
go JC girl, we're headed backright now.
You're gonna make it, dad'sgonna keep you safe.
Jc girl, we're headed backright now.
You're gonna make it, dad'sgonna keep you safe.
Jc girl, we're going back.
You're gonna make it, dad'sgonna keep you safe.

(21:59):
See, in your life, I'm confidentthat you have had some really,
really difficult things happenin your life.
You have felt the winds of thisworld blow in your face and
it's felt like too much for youto handle.
I've been there.
I've been through breakups,I've missed the team, I've had
bad grades and it's felt really, really difficult.
But you know what else I'vefelt?

(22:21):
I have felt my heavenly fatherpick me up, turn his back to the
wind and say Nate, you're goingto make it, you're going home,
dad's going to keep you safe.
Nate, you're going to make it,dad's going to keep you safe.
That's what this text is saying.
This text is saying that whenthe winds of this world are
blowing at you, you're going tobe shielded by God's power.

(22:44):
Because I think for many of usyou've been taught the only way
you're gonna make it throughthis life is if you're strong,
is if you're brave, is if youhave it courageous.
I've just lived a little bitlonger life than you, and here's
what you need to know there'sgonna be times when the winds of
this world blow you onto yourback and you won't have the
strength to get up.
But the good news is you arenot alone, because you don't

(23:08):
make it to heaven because ofyour strength.
You make it to heaven becauseof his shielding.
Because the good news is inthis passage is your salvation
is not dependent upon you, yourstability is not dependent upon
you, your sanctification is notdependent upon you, because it's
all about God and what he hassaid over your life and what
he's doing in your life.

(23:28):
Just looking again at some ofthe words used in this passage,
it says this to God's electexiles who have been chosen
according to the foreknowledgeof God, through the sanctifying
work of the spirit and in hisgreat mercy, he has given us new
birth into a living hopethrough the resurrection of
Jesus Christ from the dead, andthis inheritance is kept in

(23:49):
heaven for you who, throughfaith, are being shielded by
God's power.
You see, in that text we read awhole lot about God and not
nearly as much about us, becauseall of that describes God's
preeminence and not ourperformance.
And this is the joy offollowing Jesus.
This is the good news about ournew name.
You don't receive a new namebecause you've earned it.

(24:11):
You don't receive a new namebecause you deserve it, because
in Jesus, you are not defined bywhat you've done.
In Jesus, you are not definedby what you look like.
In Jesus, you are not definedby your GPA.
In Jesus, you are not definedby the house you live in.
In Jesus, you are not definedby your social status, because

(24:32):
in Jesus, you are only definedby Jesus, and he looks at you
and he says you are chosen, loved, forgiven and accepted by
me.
So who cares what the worldsays about you?
They don't get to name youbecause he already has.
And when you've been given aname, you don't have to live to

(24:53):
receive a new name.
You don't have to go out andmake a name for yourself when
he's already given you one.
So, in summary, the threethings that I hope you learn
from this text are point one inJesus, we are elect exiles.
Point number two in Jesus, wehave an imperishable inheritance
.
And point number three in Jesus, we are shielded by God's power
.

(25:14):
Well, to close, you may not knowthis, but this book was written
by a guy named Peter.
Peter wrote 1, peter.
What's interesting is that thatactually wasn't always his name
, and because Peter, his nameused to be Simon and one day
Jesus saw him and he called himto be his disciple.
And eventually Jesus changedSimon's name to Peter, which

(25:36):
means rock, and he said on thisrock I will build my church.
And he continued to call himPeter.
But once Jesus was arrested, something happened.
Maybe you know this if you'vebeen in church.
But once Jesus was arrested, peter started to distance
himself from Jesus and peoplecame up to him and said hey, do
you know Jesus?
And he said no, I don't knowhim.
Another person came up to himand said do you know Jesus?

(25:58):
And he said no, I don't knowhim.
Another person came up to himand said do you know Jesus?
And he said no, I don't knowhim.
Another person came up to himand said do you know Jesus?
And Peter said I don't know him.
And then Jesus bled on a cross, died, rose again.
Then one of my favorite momentsin scripture after Jesus rose
again, he went and he foundPeter.
But an interesting thinghappened as he approached Peter

(26:21):
he said Simon, do you love me,simon?
Do you love me, simon?
Do you love me See, he calledhim by his old name, and Jesus
never does anything on accident.
I can't help but think incalling him Simon, he's saying
hey, simon, you've been livinglike your old name.

(26:43):
You've been living like thename the world has given you.
Now I've given you a differentname.
You've been living like thename the world has given you.
You got a choice right now, inthis moment who you gonna be,
who you gonna be.
Who you gonna be?
Or a better question is who areyou gonna listen to?
Are you gonna listen to thename this world has given you,

(27:07):
or are you gonna listen to thename that I've given you?
Here's my question to you guystonight who are you gonna be?
Who are you going to be?
Who are you gonna listen to?
Who are you going to listen to?
Are you going to listen to thisworld that has called you
broken, forgettable, unwanted?

(27:29):
Maybe this world's even calledyou popular, desirable, likable.
I don't know what name thisworld has given you.
Are you going to take that name, or are you going to take the
name from the one who has theonly power to actually name you,
god himself?

(27:50):
Who has named you child?
Who has named you chosen, whohas named you forgiven, who has
named you accepted, who hasnamed you so deeply loved.
My question for you tonight isyou got to make a choice.
Who are you gonna be and whoare you gonna listen to?

(28:14):
My prayer is that it wouldn'tbe this world.
My prayer is that it would beJesus and that you'd live into
the name that he's spoken overyour life.
Let me pray that that'd be trueof us tonight.
Father, thank you so much thatyou have seen all of our life.

(28:39):
You have seen the highestmoments of life.
You have seen the lowest all ofour life.
You have seen the highestmoments of life.
You have seen the lowestmoments of our life, maybe right
now I bet right now.
For a lot of students in thisroom this feels like one of
those lowest moments of theirlife.
I don't know what it is forthem.
Maybe their parents are goingthrough a divorce, maybe they
feel like an outcast at school, maybe they're stuck in a certain

(29:00):
sin and they don't know how toget out of it, but it just feels
like a really, really lowmoment.
God, I pray they wouldn't hearany of the names that the enemy
wants to speak over them, butinstead they would hear the
names, that you have spoken overthem and that they would hear
that you love them so much thatyou are with them right now,

(29:21):
that you desire them right nowand, although it may feel like
no one else wants them, you wantthem, god, I pray that they
would believe that name, thatthey would receive that name,
that they'd live into that name, knowing that in you they have
received an imperishableinheritance.
That one day they're going toreceive an inheritance that can
either perish, spoil or fade, that we're gonna have access to

(29:41):
all our father does, inheritancethat can either perish, spoil
or fade.
That we're going to have accessto all our Father does.
And I pray that they'd bereminded that they don't make it
there because of what they'vedone or their performance.
That instead they make itbecause of the shielding of
God's strength.
That when this world tries tothrow them aside, you hold them
steady and you take them home.
So, father, I pray that thisweekend would change our lives.

(30:03):
So, father, I pray that thisweekend would change our lives,
that that this weekend we wecould see that there is a real
god who really loves us, whoreally sent his one and only son
to save us and that changeseverything about our life.
So, father, do what only youcan do and bring these students
from death to life and set themon fire for you to change their
schools, change their families, change their communities and,

(30:26):
ultimately, change their life.
So, father, we are just sograteful for you and we are
grateful for the fact that Jesusis alive and he's with us and
he's for us and it's in his namewe pray.
Amen.
