Devotional:
The prodigal son ran from his father—but never out of his love. He squandered his inheritance, made ruinous choices, and ended up feeding pigs in a foreign land. But when he came to his senses and returned, the father didn’t scold—he ran to meet him with open arms. Forgiveness embraced him before he could finish his apology. Rooted in grace, he was restored not as a servant, but as a son.

This is the beauty of God’s heart: He doesn’t just forgive—He restores. He doesn’t hold our past over us—He gives us a new future. We often struggle to forgive ourselves, but God is already watching from the road, ready to receive us home.

Forgiveness is the foundation of true freedom. You no longer have to live by guilt or shame. You are not defined by where you’ve been but by who your Father says you are. Rise today in that truth and walk as a beloved child, no longer bound by your past.
