Hope you love this travel guide ep! Here's all things:

Joshua Tree, Palm Springs & Pioneertown

Joshua Tree is a haven Matt and I love to escape to when LA starts to feel all a bit too much. So here’s a few of our fave Joshua Tree things we were able to do with Mum while she’s been visiting America.

  1. LUNA BAKERY
  2. PIONEERTOWN
  3. PAPPI & HARRIETTES
  4. MAJOVE FLEA
  5. TINY PONY

Luna Bakery:

This is a load organic sourdough bakery and I’m just going to say it, this place has the worlds best cinnamon scrolls, they have the perfect amount of tang (I’m guessing that’s from lemon rind), and they heat it up for you. Matt’s a huge fan of their focaccia flats and they change the topping each day.

Pioneertown:

This place is a must every single time we’re visiting Joshua Tree, it’s an old Western Town established in 1946 by a couple of actors back I the day, and it was used to film Westerns in. Def worth a visit if you’re into anything Western or even if you’re a film buff.

Pappy & Harriette’s:

This restaurant and bar is located in Pioneertown so def make sure that this is your dinner spot, its 10/10. Try the 8 year old aged Pappy’s whiskey and def try their ribs. Look out for musical acts because they have some great gigs there. This trip we just so happened to be at P&H’s for the launch of a Mezcal company (its called Illegal Mezcal) and this meant, free drinks, free merch and Boss even scored himself a free tattoo. Mum was rapt with her free merch too!

Mojave Flea:

This is for anyone who loves a spot of shopping, and local shopping at that, it’s full of local designers. There’s one in Palm Springs too, but they carry different things. I would say the Joshua Tree one is my fave! Lots of greta pressies ideas.

Tiny Pony:

Two words: pickle martinis! They’re so yummy, so instead of olive brine they use pickle juice, and it works! And they’re This is a fun dive bar, super chill and def feels like a locals spot which I love. Matt and I shared a burger each, her got the tiny money burger (which was a beef burger) and I got the chicken sand which was a chicken burger (so delish) and mum got the shrimp tacos which she loved. Then we shared an apple pie with ice-cream (which was $6 - barg)!

Honourable mentions:

Brewja Elixir Bar: They make this this eye mind opening later made with blue lotus flower that the boss and I love and get every single time we’re in town. Very hippie vibes, but in the best way

Rabbit Hole Gift Shop: Very cute Joshua Tree goodies, and I picked up a great cowboy hat for $39 so great value!

Joshua Tree Trading Post: Another great gift store vibe, the set up is really cool, easy to go in and just chill out

The Dez: We took Dad here when he was in town last year, they do great brekkie sandos, and they have nice GF bread too.

Joshua Tree Coffee: Sweet little coffee shop and I believe the coffee beans are roasted on site, really nice, always busy on weekends.

PRO TIP:

For Joshua Tree I love discovering new airbnb’s they’re great value this time of the year because the Summer is so hot here. Make sure yours has A/C and a pool comes in really handy too.

PALM SPRINGS:

Righto here’s how we spent 24 hours in Palm Springs

First off, I had to work in the morning in LA so we didn’t leave until midday but that turned out to work out really well with the traffic.

So we arrived at TERRA which is a wellness hotel; complete with ice bath, Himal

Speaker 1 (00:02):
Get a. I'm Lala Berry, nutritionist, author, actor, TV presenter,
and professional oversharer. This podcast is all about celebrating failure
because I believe it's a chance for us to learn,
grow and face our blind spots. Each week, I'll interview
a different guest about their highs as well as they're lows,

(00:26):
all in a bid to inspire us to fearlessly fail.
Hello Radio. This is a travel guide episode. Joshua said,
Joshua Springs, Joshua Tree, Palm Springs, and Pioneertown. If you've

(00:48):
been following along the last few weeks the pod, you
know that my mum's in America and she's doing this
full adventurer Americana styles. She's gone to New York. She's
seen George Clooney and good Night and good Luck. She's
seen Denzel Washington in Orthallo, also Jake Gyllenhole in Orthello.
She then went from New York to Washington, d C.

(01:13):
Then I believe that's when she met me in Memphis.
Then she went on to Chicago. Then she got this
thing called the Zephyr train which went through, like I believe,
the Rocky Mountains in Colorado. And then she spent a
couple of days in San Fran and then she got
a plane from San Fran to Palm Springs, and then

(01:34):
she had a night in Palm Springs on her own,
and then we met her for the second night in
Palm Springs. So this is a little bit of a
tour guide of all things. I think they call it
the High Desert here in California. So Palm Springs, then
Joshua Tree and Pioneertown. As you know, Boss and I
love Pineertown. We go there quite a bit. It's kind
of our reprieve from La when La all just feels

(01:56):
a bit much. So here's what we did in all
three of those places. It is a guide in that
I will tell you all our travel hacks and things
like that because it's so handy to know. And then
as of next week it goes back to long long
form pot interviews. I've got some Ripper Ripper Ripper Ripper
Ripper guests lined up for you. One was actually meant

(02:18):
to come out today, but we're having an issue with
the video footage. It was all filmed in Sydney, and
because I'm having an issue with video footage, I just
was like, no, no, we're gonna push that episode one
week and I'm going to give you all Palm Springs,
Joshua Tree lay the Land this week, and then by
next week hopefully all our technical difficulties will have been
sorted from our SIDS recording and we will have We've

(02:40):
got I've got five epps in the can from SIDS
that are flipp and' unreal, so they'll start coming out
the following weeks. So pumped. Okay, let's start. First off,
if you're living in La or you're traveling to LA
and you're like, okay, we want to add Joshua Tree,
palm Springs, or you're adding Kacha or something like that,

(03:01):
so it's all out in that same area. So first
of all, hot tip, if you can control the days
you go on, go middle of the week. This is
going to sound like a really hippy, airy fairy hot tip,
But if you were anything like me and you were
into stargazing, don't go on a full moon because the
full moon lights the sky up too much. Go on

(03:22):
a new moon, which is what we went on. We
went on a new moon. It was a new moon
on the day we went up, So the sky's dark,
right because it's not a full moon, the moon like
steals the light essentially when you're looking at the stars.
So if you are into stargazing, because you can see
the Milky Way really well out there, I would say

(03:42):
get your calendar out, figure out when the new moon
is and time it around that, and you have more
chances of seeing stars Milky Way planets. Like last night
in the sky, I could see Saturn and Neptune, and
I saw two shooting stars, one on the first night
Industree and one on the second night in josh Tree.
So that I will preface this by saying, I know

(04:03):
it sounds really hippy and woo woo, because new moon's
also where we set intentions and manifestations, and we're in
a new moon in Cancer right now. Anyway, all that said,
that's my first hip. Then try and go midweek if
you can, because the rates are lower. It's obviously not
as popular as weekends. We got back on a Friday

(04:23):
afternoon and you could just see the traffic going towards
Palm Springs and Joshua Tree. So if you can go midweek,
and if you want cheap deals, go in the summer.
A lot of people don't like how hot it gets
for my Aussie friends, it's kind of like forty up
to forty five degrees in the day, but like between
thirty seven and forty five in the summer. I would
say it was kind of like thirty fives thirty threes

(04:48):
for us. So it wasn't crazy because it's not quite
the highest summer yet, but I imagine need to get
up there July August. Okay, that's all the like housekeeping
out of the way, talk Palm Springs. I researched and
found a couple of hotels in Palm Springs that looked
amazing and just like really like mellow and chill, and

(05:10):
I went with one of them. And the one that
I went with is called Terror t e rr A.
It's a wellness hotel. It has an ice bath, a
Himalayan salt sauna, a rain room, a pool, a jacuzi,
and I learned afterwards that you can actually cover the
jacuzi and it turns into a full blown yoga deck.

(05:30):
And then I also booked a massage. So the deal
that I found was it was ten percent off because
it's off season now, this is the summertime. And then
you had also had a seventy five dollar voucher to
use on a massage. So what was like one hundred
and ninety five dollar massage ended up being one plus

(05:51):
f tw tip of course. Okay, so a eve adic
medicine massage. So I'm vasa and pitter dominant, and so
they'll use oils that helped to like um like for me,
like Varta is like they call vata like the dry wind,
and then you need more grounding and earth and so
they I use really like earthy oils and it's all

(06:11):
in a black sesame seed oil base, so you can
like stay in the oils as good for you and
the then they recommend that you sit in the sawn
rafter and let their oils soak into your skin. So cool, okay, boss,
and I then had a real big chill by the pool,
just like took it easy, just chilled and just kind
of like soaked it up because it was But I
think there's thirteen rooms there, so it's kind of boutique

(06:34):
and small, but like super private, really great. They have
their own little brecky bar there as well, with like
you know, granola, yogurts and all that. That's all included.
Coffee is all included Okay, Then we met Mum for dinner.
She is mad for old Hollywood stuff, which is why,
of course she loved Palm Springs. She loved Palm Springs
more than Joshua Tree, whereas Boss and I love Joshua

(06:54):
Tree probably a bit more than Palm Springs. That Mum
loves all that mid century style. She loves old Hollywood glamour.
And so we went to this restaurant called Kopele's, which
is on the old Kerry Grand State. His famous actor
from back in the day. Apparently he didn't live in
this estate. He lived in a mansion three streets like
down from it, like further away from it. But he

(07:16):
from his mansion, he could see the estate and he
would have it there for actors that I hope I
don't get this wrong, but that were like people of
color that weren't allowed to stay on set or like
stay in la like back in the day. So he
had this estate where he let all the actors stay. Anyway,
so fascinating, but like I think, over the years then

(07:38):
it got used as a party house and da da
da da. Anyway, it's like gorgeous out outdoor dining like
cool ambiyonce beautiful in the heat, and you obviously got
the mountains and the palm trees and all that monarques,
like all that beauty behind you. And the food was
just like I would say, classic Americana. So like Boss

(08:00):
and I shared a steak, Mum got like a toefoo dishes,
a bit veggie vibes, and then we all shared this
like interesting kind of like roast beetroot dip at the start. Anyway,
really really nice. Boss and I didn't drink at all
that night. We knew were going to have a whiskey
it Pappy and Harriet's the following match. We're like, nah,
we're just going to like chill tonight. So then we

(08:22):
went for a big walk downtown Palm Springs feels really
safe if it feels like it's good like shopping, if
you're into like antiques, if you're into thrift shopping, if
you're into that mid century style. I kept saying, oh
my god, it feels like the Jetsons, you know, it's
that kind of vibe. There's a massive Marilyn Monroe statue.
There's some incredible hikes around Palm Springs. I love the

(08:43):
Andreas Oasis, but I did see Rattlesnakes. I didn't do
that this trip, but that's a good hike if you're
in Palm Springs and you don't really feel like going
the forty five minutes to get to Joshua Tree. And
then so he's had a really early night. We watched
the studio on Apple TV. Was in our rooms. We
watched the studio, which was so fun to watch. I

(09:04):
would oh, and I took Mom to this place called
Mahave Flee. Now there's one in Joshul Tree, there's one
in Palm Springs. It's all like local artesian, you know
what I mean, like local artists and stuff. The Palm
Springs stuff. There's some crossover, but it's quite different to
the Joshul Tree one. So I would encourage you to
check both out if you're going to both locations, like
what we did essentially, So that's called Mahave Flea. So

(09:26):
Palm Springs was great. The next morning we all like
didn't check out till like eleven thirties. Anyway, that's when
we took Mom to Mahave Flea. She loved it and
she was mad for Asiu bowls that we've gone through
a real asau bol face. We took it for a
Siu bowl and then we kind of got on the
road because I was able to get us an early
check in at our Airbnb. Check your check in time

(09:47):
for Airbnb's because the one that we were saying out
was four pm check in, which I think is a
bit late you kind of want, especially because we knew
we were going to Pappy and Harriet's. You know, we
kind of just wanted to get in and chill for
a bit. We knew we had a pool, we knew
we could just take it easy and kind of like
read our books for a couple hours, so I would
check that when you book an M and B that's
another hot tip. But that said, I just reached out

(10:09):
and was like, can we come early? And they're like,
you can come any time from two, when I was
like real, So that was perfect, Okay, So we picked
mom up, went to Mahave Fleet and then from Palm
Springs to Joshua Tree is about forty five minutes. So
we went straight to Matt's favorite bakery and that's called
Lunar Sourdough. It's an all sodo bakery. I can actually there,

(10:32):
even though I'm not meant to eat gluten because the
sowdo's just partially fermented and therefore easier to digest. I
got hands down the best cinnamon scroll I've ever had.
It was so good and even the icing had this
like lemon tanginess to it, so so good. Boss is
obsessed with their flat bread like for culture stylings with

(10:52):
olives and cheese on top. He loves that. And the
coffee they use Canyon Coffee and the coffee is great.
They drip coffee is so good. So we went to
Luna Bakery, got some snacks. Then we got in and
took Mum to Mahave Flea in Joshua Tree, which she loved.
She was mad for a flea store which is really
just like a fancy gifts af ff I'm really honest,

(11:12):
but all local artists. And then we took it to
a few other little chopos and then we just checked
it because we only had about half an hour to kill.
Then we just checked in, got in, got to lay
the land, and then we headed out to there's a
huge Walmart there and we just got things like granola, coffee, milk,
you know, all the little yogurt, all the little essentials

(11:33):
because we knew were going out for our dinners, but
just so we didn't have to leave in the mornings
all that. So we did that. Walmart is huge there.
It is quite overwhelming going with a list. That's my
hot tip on that one. Then we went to Pineytown.
We got to Pineertown at like six I want to
say maybe five point thirty actually five thirty six, because

(11:54):
we want a mum to experience the western town. So
it's an old western town. I believe it was built
in nineteen forty six by actor like actors back in
the Hollywood day, because they would film westerns there as
opposed to going somewhere like Montana or Wyoming. You know.
So cool. Anyway, it's amazing. It is a legit town,
like there's a post office, there's a Pineer Gazette, you've

(12:16):
got Red Dog Saloon. We took mom there. Anyway, We
had dinner at Pappy and Harriet's. It turned out there
was a massive mescal event on for this brand called
Illegal Mezcal Free event. But we just went Pappy and Harriet's,
had dinner, got our favorite whiskey, Happy Days. We got
the chili Boss and I shed the ribs. Mum, got
the vegetarian chili. It was just really nice. Right, and

(12:37):
then because we knew the mezcal launch just going on,
there was live music. There was free mezcal, which is
really nice, by the way, like a really nice sipper.
It was like smoky obviously, it's like a smoky tequila.
That's how I've described mezcal, and like maybe a bit
more layered in flavor. And then Boss got a tattoo.

(12:59):
They were doing free tattoos, and so Boss got a tattoo.
The weight was like three and a half hours, like
it was a big process, but he was so wrapped
he got his free tattoo. We got heaps of free
merch like teas caps, this cool dice. It was just fun.
It was just a fun little vibe bandanas, So that
was unreal. That restaurant, Pappy and Harriet's is unreal. Like
if you're into music as well, like totally go there

(13:21):
and like go see whatever band you're interested in. It's
a really great vibe and it's not like anything else really,
like it's got that almost Americana saloon vibe. It's everyone's
cool there, Like everyone's got cool tattoos, everyone's wearing cowboy hats.
It's like a really great vibe. And then the next
day Mum really wanted to have a massage because she's

(13:41):
going back to Australia soon and so she's like, I'm
gonna get a message. Great, so we took her to
some more shopping spots. Also, we had a pool in
our airbnb, so we basically just kind of Mum was
being it. She's a cancerrian water science, so she was
in the pool like no tomorrow. And then we just
took a shop at my Harve flea. We took it

(14:02):
a Joshua Tree flea. We took her to oh sorry,
Joshua Tree Trading Post. I got this hat. I really
wanted a cowboy hat, to be honest, and none of
them looked right on me or could fit my I've
got a big head and big hair, like thick hair.
But then I got this hat. It was like really cool.
I wouldn't say it's cowboy, I would say it's more

(14:22):
like hippie vibes. Anyway, thirty nine buckos wrapped, and because
I've had laser on my face, I'm like just all
about the SBF and skincare and some protection. So that
was awesome. And I got that from a little gift
shop called rabbit Hole Gift Shop, very cute, lots of
Joshua Tree goodies. I used all my self control and

(14:43):
just got the hat. Though. If you want good coffee,
go to Joshua Tree Coffee. That's a sweet little coffee shop.
And I believe they grind their beans on site. Also,
the des does really good brecky sandos. Again, we didn't
go there this trip. It was just I just like
mentioning it because this is essentially a g for Joshua
Tree or that's a big part of what this chitty

(15:04):
chatow is. Then we go to this place. Okay, it's
really hippy. Bear with me. It's called Brujar Alixaba. I
think Bruja means something witchy in another language. Let me
find out. Actually, So we enter Brugar Alixa and Boss
and I get this. It's called mind's eye. Like it's
called like it opens your mind. Okay. In Spanish, bruja

(15:28):
directly translates to witch, a term used to describe a
woman believe to possess magical powers, often associated with rich witchcraft,
both for good and for harm. Okay, well that makes sense.
So we get this blue Lotus latte and it's got
lapis Lapouli. I don't know if I'm saying that right,
but it's a type of crystal essence in there. It's

(15:52):
so good. But it's all about opening your like mind's
eye essentially, and Boss and I love it. We always
get together and make a little wish and we went there,
Mum and massage. We went to brujar alixa bar and
then all right for that, I was when I got
my gorgeous hat sit shoe. Okay, great, just on the
Joshua Tree. If you're booking an airbnb, make sure it

(16:13):
has a C because it is so so flipping hot there.
Be aware. I have seen five rattlesnakes in the time
that I have lived in America, and it's usually when
I go out on hikes, especially around Joshua Tree and
Palm Springs. You're gonna see rattlesnakes. It's a given. I
think there's seven different kinds. There's like beautiful golden ones,

(16:33):
there's like diamond ones. There's like gray and black ones.
But here's the thing. They're neurotoxic as well as cardiovascular
toxic or cardiotoxic and they're lightning quick, so they're quicker
than us. So if you're gonna go hiking, be super aware.
Go on like proper trails, like when you go on
trail hikes in Palm Springs or Joshua Tree. There are

(16:55):
literal danger warning signs about rattlesnakes the whole way. And
I thought nothing of it the first few times I
went because there were so many people hiking until I
kept seeing rattlesnakes and I was like, holy Mac, they
are literally we are in their home. So I just
do want to give you the heads up about that one.
We didn't see any of this strip, but we didn't

(17:16):
hike like in the summertime. I think it's just a
bit hot for hiking during the day. Again, laser on
the face. Don't want to f with that laser stuff,
So I just want to be real about that. I've
seen five rattlesnakes so and one was in La The
rest were all in the desert like Joshua Tree and
Palm Springs. Okay, one of them was the Andrea's Heart

(17:37):
trail hike, which is just out of Palm Springs, and
that's where I saw two of them. Mental ful on
and the other one I saw was in Joshua Tree
or I heard it. Should I say that because it
rattles went as a warning, which kind of nice if
you think about it that way. Okay, So Mum had
her massage. She just found a local little massage place,

(17:57):
and then we went to Brujara. They do like amazing matches.
They use like medicinal mushrooms. They they've got like CBD
stuff because it's all legal in California, or a lot
of it is. I think the CBD definitely is. Anyway,
we just get this blue lotus. It's basically it tastes

(18:19):
like a lavender honey late, but it's a blue lotus
mind opening late. Really great. We always do some like
journaling and manifesting and all that stuff whenever we have
it so good. Okay, then went home chilled for a bit,
and then I went and picked Mum up for a massage.
And then we just came home and all chilled for

(18:40):
a little bit, and I took Mum to the I
don't know, I just call it Big Josh, but it's
like a gift stop, a gift shop with a ginormous cowboy,
and it's got a like spinning cowboy shoe on the
top of it. It's right near the Joshua Tree Saloon,
which is where Post Malone filmed is one of his
music video clips. Anyway, it's a gift show. It's probably

(19:00):
the best value of all the gift shops. Everything's quite
good value there, and Mum loved it. But she also
loved it because obviously she could get some pickies, and
she got some pickies of there. When you walk in,
there's a giant statue of a tortoise, of a desert
tortoise with a Joshua Tree sign, so that was pretty cool. Okay,
that night we went to Tiny Pony for dinner. Basically

(19:20):
it's very Americana food. They do this pickle martini drink
for like ten bucks. I didn't get it this time.
I got a fridge cigarette, which is a diet coke.
I just felt like it was so hot and I
just wanted something really fresh and it was so yummy. Anyway,
I got the chicken sando, which is a chicken burger,
that's just what Americans call it. And Boss got the

(19:43):
Tiny Pony burger and we just halved it, and then
Mum got prawn. Oh no, shrimp tacos, which she loved,
and then we all shared a slice of apple pie
with Nella or ice cream and it was off the chain,
so good, Such a great way to end the trip.
Then we went back and Boston and I has made
some nighttime tea and laid out and stargaze and it

(20:03):
was so good. And I saw a shooting star the
first night. I saw a shooting star the second night.
If you're all into stargazing, like do it. I also
would love to actually be in Joshua Tree National Park
and stargazs because I bet you that's a vibe. And
I know I've got other friends that love hiking at sunrise.
My only concern is, like, obviously the rattlesnakes, but I

(20:24):
think at nighttime you're in a bit of a bet.
It's colder, right, they're gone to they need to be
out in the sun hitting their cool blood up right anyway,
just something to think of. I don't know what the
rules are with the park and opening. Here's a good
hack with the park. I believe a parking pass because
you gonna drive in right is thirty dollars, but thirty

(20:46):
dollars for five days or a week so if you're
going to go get it on day one and use
it for a couple of days, that's my hot tip.
We took Dad. We only end up going one day,
and we didn't take Mum this time because it was
just so hot. And she's also she's not as big
into exercise, if I'm being honest. She's much more of

(21:07):
a get out and get the picky. Like right after
I finished recording this, I'm taking her up to Griffiths
Observatory so she can get some pickies of where Adell
sung because she loves it down. So we're doing that
tonight and then I work all day tomorrow and then
I take her to the airport. If anybody ever picks
you up from Lax, it is the highest form of
love because it is such a hard airport to navigate

(21:29):
when you're picking someone up if they don't have an
American cell because it's so big and there's multiple terminals,
and if you don't know where the person is, it
is an absolute game of cat and mouse. Anyway, I digress.
So that was everything we did in Joshua Tree and
Palm Springs. There's another place that we were going to

(21:52):
try and go to that is known for its Mexican
but they were just only doing burgos burgos burgers the
night that we were there, and they were called mess
Oh here I can see him, mass O mennows this.
So this is a bar and coffee shop. But last
night they were doing smash burgers, which a delish, but
Mum is much more plant based, so we just ended up. Yeah,

(22:17):
so Friday nights, which is tonight, is pizza. They do
pizza night there, but they did burgers last night and
I was like, Mom's not going to eat a burger,
So that's why we went to Tiny Pony instead. We thought, Okay, well,
at least we know that they've got vegetarian stuff that
you know, she'll be able to have and not stress about.

(22:38):
So yeah, it's been fun. I will say, when you're
playing tour Guide, you're not as relaxed as like if
it's just Boss and I are just totally chilling. Like
the last time we were in Joshua Tree was when
the fires were happening, and we literally just sprinted down
for one night just to like regroup, and it was
so good and we didn't do anything, went for a

(22:59):
coffee date and for a dinner date. And that was it.
We were just like, oh, this is the best. But
when you're kind of in like to a guide mode,
it's a little bit more harder to not navigate. But
you're just like aware that, oh, this person hasn't been
to this place, Like we've been to Pioneertown five times now,

(23:21):
so we kind of know our favorite little bits, our
favorite little pockets. Whereas you've got to remember or I've
got to remember when I'm taking someone they've never been before.
And now the fun place to day is the Pioneer
Town Motel. Matt and I have stayed there, but the
ac the only thing I would say, if you're staying
in the height of some of the ac is not super
strong there, so I would go there in the winter

(23:41):
or go there like before it gets crazy hot. But
it's such a fun place. Is saying. It's literally in
the Western town, so if you're into Westerns and all
that fun stuff, it's flip and unreal. It is so good,
my friends. I also hope this episode encourages you and
inspires you to like take a little break, take a
little reset, like do something just for you, like invest

(24:05):
in a little bit of self care. You know, I
truly like think that like taking little breaks away from
the grind is really important and I think it actually
makes us more productive. We get more inspired, and we
like tap in and kind of like re energize, but
we can also open up our mind and I think

(24:26):
our energy to other possibilities. That's just what I feel
about taking little breaks away. That said, back to work tomorrow,
back in the grind, back to you know, chasing the dreams.
And also with the Pottos. We are working really hard
behind the scenes to make sure that these Sydney episodes
still come out because there was such riper EPs. Guys,

(24:47):
like Mixture is the next one that's going to come out.
He's so funny and he's so confident and he's such
like amazing talent, and that will be the episode that
comes out the next Monday. And like just to give
you a little taste, like Claire, who's my pod manager,
she and I record an episode about like doos and
don'ts for podcasting. So like, if you've ever thought about

(25:08):
doing a powered like he's the you know, the magic
to it. So I'm really I'm really excited to get
you this like content. We just got to figure out
what's gone on with the video stuff, Because I love
cutting the audiograms. I do it all myself. Matt does
the sound of course, and I do the audiograms. So
we're working on it behind the scenes, and this week

(25:29):
I'll be working my little butt off to get them
ready for you for the following week. But I hope
you love this little guide of Joshua Tree, Palm Springs
and Pinineertown High Desert let's call it. And you know,
I hope you go one day. It's so fun. It's
so easy to drive from LA you don't need to
fly there unless you're flying into Palm Springs Airport like

(25:51):
Mum did from San fran or other parts of America.
So I hope this is helpful if you have any
questions about this strip at all, So he to help.
I have also created two travel guides for my substack,
which is totally free. It's just Yamo Laula Berry and
my substack. I've done one on Pump Springs that's already out,

(26:13):
and then tomorrow so by the time this pod comes out,
there will be a Joshua Tree substack, so that's going
to be all ready to go. And hope you love it.
Thank you, thank you, thank you. I feel like i'm
waffling now. This is I've got a dear friend in
Australia called Beck, and we see each other voice notes
and write. Towards the end, I'm like, oh my god,
so I'm waffling. You the best, chuck out the rest.

(26:34):
So as I would say to Beck, I'm going to
end it the same way I am my voice notes
to Beck. I'm going to end up with you, guys
this way. You're the best. Chuck out the rest. Hooru.
That's a wrap on another episode of Fearlessly Failing. As always,
thank you to our guests, and let's continue the conversation

(26:56):
on Instagram. I'm at Yumola this partty. My work for
podcast is available on all streaming platforms. I'd love it
if you could subscribe, rape and comment, and of course
spread the love
