(00:23):
Failing Hot Seat. Welcome to the hot seat. What is
your name? Some people say middle name, some people don't.

Speaker 2 (00:32):
Oh, my full name.

Speaker 1 (00:35):
Oh you don't have to.

Speaker 2 (00:36):
Philippa Anna Campbell Cowley.

Speaker 1 (00:38):
Oh, I love it. Yeah, that's a good long name.

Speaker 3 (00:42):
It is a long name. My parents thinking.

Speaker 1 (00:45):
I love it. It's the Campbell bit. Where's that come from?

Speaker 3 (00:48):
It's her family name, Scottish heritage, weirdly on both sides
of the family.

Speaker 1 (00:53):
Awkward. No, I love that though.

Speaker 2 (00:55):
Yeah, a little bit in breadfit.

Speaker 1 (00:56):
That's right. Does that mean you like whiskey?

Speaker 3 (01:00):
I don't mind whisky, but more of a tequila gal
these days.

Speaker 1 (01:03):
Yeah, I feel like I knew that about you.

Speaker 2 (01:04):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:05):
Are you sweet or savory when it comes to food?

Speaker 3 (01:08):
Definitely savory, but love chocolate. That's my sweet.

Speaker 1 (01:12):
Okay, then I have to follow on questions. Okay, Australian
chocolate versus American chocolate, yuck.

Speaker 3 (01:19):
I can't even think about Australian if it's Cadbury. America
has some like nice, like healthy chocolate brands that are
pretty good.

Speaker 1 (01:27):
Oh so you're more yeah, because you and me are
both gluten free girls. Yeah. So yeah, there are some
good healthy chocolate brands out here that we can find. It.
Our favorite place, air one.

Speaker 2 (01:36):
Exactly where all my money goes.

Speaker 1 (01:40):
Okay, so I think I know this from the long
form interview. But favorite city in the world, favorite city.

Speaker 2 (01:47):
In the world, New York.

Speaker 1 (01:49):
Yeah, yeah, favorite nature spot.

Speaker 3 (01:52):
Oh that's a really tough one. I mean I love Whistler.
I'm a big skier. Yeah, and I did three months
working as like a skin structure with little kids there.

Speaker 2 (02:02):
Loved it the best.

Speaker 1 (02:04):
Yeah, So whistle beats Australia for nature. I thought you
were gonna go Whistler and bond to Bronte Walk.

Speaker 2 (02:12):
Or I love Bone Bay.

Speaker 1 (02:14):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (02:14):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (02:15):
The past like, yeah, exactly beautiful. There's this beautiful image
you've taken I think from the top of the past. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (02:22):
I mean it's just such a spectacular beach and I
love a point break if I'm gonna go surfing, So
it's hard to top that. And the hinterland is so stunning.
So yeah, in terms of I mean, I think it's
hard to beat the US in terms of like off
the charts nature just because of the extremities of like
the mountains to the ocean.

Speaker 1 (02:42):
And we're doing Wyoming in a couple of weeks, We're
doing Yellowstone National Pack and the Grand Teas, like horse trails.
I've booked at all. That's gonna be spectacular. Can't wait,
can't wait? Yeah, Okay, what is a non negotiable for you?
Is it like to meditate or move for basically, I
think time at the beach. Yeah yeah, most days do

(03:05):
you get to the beach? Yeah?

Speaker 2 (03:06):
Yeah, I try to.

Speaker 1 (03:07):
Lucky thing.

Speaker 2 (03:09):
I know, it is very very lucky.

Speaker 3 (03:12):
I mean, Venice Beach doesn't really beat Bondai or any
of the Sydney beaches. I think the Northern beaches are
even much nicer than Bondai.

Speaker 2 (03:20):
But yeah, I know what you mean exactly.

Speaker 1 (03:23):
Ocean. It's a bit cooler here than inland, and it
just feels good to have that sea. Ocean, breeze. Yeah
for sure.

Speaker 2 (03:30):
Yeah, I find it very grounding.

Speaker 1 (03:31):
So what advice if would you like a creative to
know or like what you know when you were younger
and you were like, I mean, I think you had
so much courage when you went to New York and
just wrote those like fifty emails. But like for a
creative like wanting to give it a red hot crack,
what advice have you got?

Speaker 2 (03:50):
Yeah, I do think you have to go after it.

Speaker 3 (03:53):
If the if you have your dream job, go for it,
take the leap, and just be really assistent. So email people,
make sure you're working on your own creative projects and
passion projects because people really want to see your lens
on the world and your take on the world. So yeah,

(04:14):
really go after your own creative pursuits. I love it.

Speaker 1 (04:18):
I love that you're saying be persistent because I think
we can get disheartened and be like, oh no, that's rejection.
They don't like me. It's like no, no, nothing wrong
with the follow up email totally.

Speaker 2 (04:28):
Yeah, and also just get really good at rejection. Yeah,
and just keep that it's okay. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (04:35):
A lot of people say resilience is a big key factor. Yeah,
as a creative, which I feel like you've touched on it. Yeah,
now chat today. If we were to look into a
crystal ball, what is Pip doing five years from now?
Oh my god, no, so mean. I threw a mean one.

Speaker 2 (04:51):
How would you do that? I'm the spontaneous person.

Speaker 1 (04:56):
I know what's your star sign?

Speaker 2 (04:58):
Libra?

Speaker 1 (04:59):
Oh yeah, okay, no you could be both then yeah.

Speaker 3 (05:02):
Yeah, but I think working on the screenplay, so I
would love to see that project come into fruition and
whether it's something i'd get to direct myself or not,
or write it, come up with the concept around it,
drafted out, and then we'll work with some really great
screenwriters to make it better.

Speaker 1 (05:22):
So what's the saying? Like it takes a village to
like yeah, exactly, one dream to life kind of thing.

Speaker 3 (05:29):
Yeah, And I think having collaborators is such a good thing.
So yeah, it's good to work ship shop ideas with
other people.

Speaker 1 (05:38):
It's thousand percent. Yeah, that's half the fun of it
because you're ensemble, you're all in it together. Yeah, Pip,
you're the best. I can't wait to have you back
on the pod. And thanks for saying yes, I know
we've been talking about.

Speaker 2 (05:49):
It of course.

Speaker 3 (05:50):
Thanks for having me, how fun you nailed it, my friend?
Oh thank you.

Speaker 1 (05:56):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (05:57):
Now for some lam

Speaker 3 (06:01):
Very good
