LOS ANGELES actor dairy:

Righto, well this time last week we were in Wyoming living our best Western Cowboy lives.

This week has been getting back on top of work; podcasting and the fun stuff; accounting! And to be honest, it’s taken me a little bit to get back into the swing of things.

No auditions this week but we’ve had mates over for dinners, been our for lunches and really filled up our social cups.

This weekend we’re celebrating a dear friends birthday, then we’re taking a week to bunker down and focus on work before heading away again celebrate Halloween! This will be our first time actually celebrating an American Halloween, so we’re pumped.

On the work front, I’m meeting my acting manager this arvo, I’m looking forward to having a game plan for the rest of the year and Q1 of next year, nows the time to plan seeds for a ripper 2026!

p.s Where we record the podcast is also a co working space and film set, and they have actually birds from Alfred Hitchcock’s 1963 horror-thriller movie called The Birds.

Quick update this week, I honestly think we’ve just been recalibrating after such a fun non-stop time in Wyoming! I promise I’ll have fun updated for you next week.

Big love,

Lola

Speaker 1 (00:01):
Welcome to Your Diary episode. Here's the thing.

Speaker 2 (00:05):
I'm a bit of a nomad, so these episodes come
to from wherever I'm living or traveling to at the time,
so I'll share with you what's going on in my world,
from book tours, animal encounters, delish meals, nature adventures, health
discoveries to swimming in Hidden Byron Bay Beaches. Come with

(00:25):
me as I share my adventures with you. Hello, Welcome
to you pod Diary La edition. This might be a
quickie because this week has felt like because we were
away last week. We did our whole Jackson Hole, Wyoming
Yellowstone Grant eaton adventure ps. Listened to Monday's episode if

(00:49):
you want to hear more of that. But we've kind
of been i think going from zero degrees celsius to
twenty seven in La. We got knocked, kind of been
just on the like, had a real mild lurki the
both of us. Since week's kind of been chill. We
have had a couple of people over and done a
few social things. I've had a lunch at all time,

(01:11):
which is this amazing cafe in Lost Feelers. The food
is always amazing, and we've had mates over for dinners.
But yeah, Boss and I've both just felt a little
under the weather coming good today though, So it hasn't
been like a loads to update you want in the
week that was other than I recorded and filmed a

(01:33):
pod in West Hollywood, which is where we always record
filmed pods. So in America film pods are like a huge,
huge thing. That reminds me, I've got to put a
pod up on YouTube today, and I did what didn't
influence a gig and they wanted it all shot in
the pod studio, so I hired the pod studio for

(01:53):
the Influencer gig, and then the Influencer gig was quite
quick to film. Then the Boss and I recorded a pod,
So I don't think that's going to come out for
a month or so, just because we've got I've got
all the pods slated now pretty much until Chrissy, so fun.
I'm actually just about to do some email and getting
some Sydney and Aussie guests and malbs guess on the

(02:16):
pod of Rooney. I've got a few lined up pumped
for that as always right to me. Forgot any ideas
of who you like to see on the pod. And
then this week and We've got a dear friend, Josh's birthday, so.

Speaker 1 (02:30):
We are going to be.

Speaker 2 (02:33):
Out and about celebrating that, and then next week and
we have another friend's birth there. We've made a deal
with ourselves for the.

Speaker 1 (02:40):
Week in between.

Speaker 2 (02:43):
We just want to be like in real health nerd
mode because we just you know, been away and eating
out and we love a whiskey, like having a few
whiskeys here and there. We're just not feeling like we're
our most vital versions of ourselves right now. Hence why
we're feeling like we're fighting bit of a LOOKI so
today I got up, went for a big walk and

(03:05):
I already feel better. So anyway, that is essentially the week.
That was One cool thing I will say about the
pod studio we record him. It's also like a co
working space and a film studio. And I saw this
stuffed bird in the corner of one of the rooms
on a branch, and it's like a stuffed raven or crow.

(03:25):
I think it's a raven because there's more ravens in
America and I think there's crows in Australia. Anyway, it's
off the Alfred Hitchcock movie Birds. How cool is that,
So anyway, I if you want to see a pick,
I'll put it on Socials.

Speaker 1 (03:38):
But very very cool.

Speaker 2 (03:41):
What else to tell you Monday's episode that's coming out
is actor Emma Horn. Emma is such a legend, came
over to our place to record, very like what you
see is what.

Speaker 1 (03:53):
You get kind of person.

Speaker 2 (03:56):
And very inspiring, incredible actor in Class of Seven and
in a Richard Roxbury Rebecca Gidney show. I believe it's
called The Prophecy or the prophet Very cool. We talked
a lot of behind the scenes stuff like you know,
covering up tattoos and a lot of fun stuff like that,

(04:17):
so it was a really honest, lovely chat. Emma also
talks about having ADHD in that diagnosis, so it's a
really just like honest, raw, what you see is what
you get kind of interview, which was really fun for me.
I love when guests are just like, yeah, I'm an
open book. So cool.

Speaker 1 (04:38):
We're also in the middle.

Speaker 2 (04:39):
In America, they really celebrate Halloween here, fam really love it,
so we're just in the middle of planning our Halloween costumes.
We've both got matching wigs left over from the Aussie's
in La party. Which are these kind of like Ossie
mullet wigs. We've both got them, so I think we're
going to take them to our Western not Western, our

(05:02):
Halloween like thing we're doing with our buds. I think
we're going to take them with us and then maybe
just play around with a few ideas. That's kind of
what we're thinking. I don't know if I told you this.
I think I did tell you in the long form episode,
but basically, when I got my got my first cowboy
hat in Wyoming and I got it branded. Anyway, it's

(05:25):
so cool to see behind scenes after I got off
from you. I'm literally a posting that on my Instagram.
But yeah, that like this is literally the this week,
you know, on your travel and you come back and
you're kind of like getting your ducks in a roll again.
Like Matt's just on a massive deep clean of the house.
I've started going through our clothes. I just started like
getting back on track. And I also had a therapy

(05:47):
session this week and I said, oh, I'm noticing that
I'm procrastinating a bit in the mornings, like I'll have
my coffee, have a scroll, do some emails, but not
really Hey booboo, oh, he gave a nod.

Speaker 1 (05:59):
He gave a little he's walked into the room.

Speaker 2 (06:04):
Yeah, I've just noticed I've been procrastinating more than news.
And my therapist said, as an actor, you're so used
to waiting, like waiting for the call, waiting for the gig,
and it's like because of that, being in that waiting cycle, CYC,
it forces you. Like the downside of that is you procrastinate.
So that was really helpful to like get that feedback

(06:27):
and then.

Speaker 1 (06:30):
Understand it and then remedy it.

Speaker 2 (06:31):
So I've since booked into a time management course that
I'm going.

Speaker 1 (06:34):
To do tomorrow, pumped for that.

Speaker 2 (06:36):
It's all online, and I've written acting schooled and getting
on acting classes. So I'm feeling pretty good about noticing
those patterns and then making the changes necessary.

Speaker 1 (06:50):
You know. Anyway, that's kind of where I'm at. I'm
going to pull you an Oracle card.

Speaker 2 (06:57):
But yeah, this week's kind of just been like finding
our feet after trip. Did I explain the Cowboy branding
thing just then?

Speaker 1 (07:03):
I did? I feel like I'm really waffling. Definitely wouldn't
mind a sneaky second Ovo coffee, but I'm not gonna
do that because really want to sleep well, So I'm
just doing a little shuffle.

Speaker 2 (07:14):
You shuffle with your non dominant hands, so for me,
shuffling with my left hand. And then what I always do, guys,
is I do a three card pull past, present, in future,
and then I look at the top of the deck
and the bottom of the deck. Now, when I pulled
out the present, two cards came out, so you're getting
a little extra card today. So for the past, it
was make a decision feeling stuck or indecisive, Listen to

(07:36):
your intuition and make a decision. For the present, the
two cards that pulled were tranquility, make time to relax,
be still and enjoy your solitude, indulging in much need
self care. And then helpful person. Someone wants to help you.
Think of who that might be an initiate contact. That's
really cool. I've got to meet with an acting manager today,

(07:57):
so that's cool. And then the future accept help. You've
prayed for help, so get out of the way and
let Heaven help you.

Speaker 1 (08:04):
That's cool.

Speaker 2 (08:04):
Top of the deck contemplation time spend time alone, meditating
upon what you truly desire. These cards are all very
indicative of mercury. Retrograde, which I believe we're in right
now or we're nearly in. At bottom of the deck though,
is really exciting. Positive energy. Surround yourself with positive people
in situations avoid negativity.

Speaker 1 (08:24):
Very cool.

Speaker 2 (08:25):
So there you go, my friends, there your card pools
for the week. You've got Emma Horn on the pod
on Monday, and the next week's dire will be lots
of fun because oh I'll.

Speaker 1 (08:37):
Be away for the direct I'll prerecorded, so yeah, it'll
be a.

Speaker 2 (08:41):
Halloweeny kind of diary. Really, if I'm honest, How fun?
How good?

Speaker 1 (08:48):
All right? Friends?

Speaker 2 (08:49):
Well that's me quick update. This one was I knew
it would be because we've just been a bit under
the weather.

Speaker 1 (08:57):
But that's okay.

Speaker 2 (08:58):
I'm always very real and honest with you, and that's
just the way it rolls. So Happy Friday to the
Aussie's listening to this, Happy Thursday RVO for the Americans
listening to this, stay tuned. We've got some really exciting
pods coming up, and we're going to have some seasonal
special alays coming out from kind of like the end

(09:20):
of November. It's going to feel a little festive around
here on the field of the Failing Podcast and remember,
because we're in America, thirty versus of October is Halloween.
Around the twenty fifth of the last Thursday of November
is Thanksgiving, and then it is a Christmas funfair here

(09:40):
in America, so get ready for lots of festive content. Anyway, hooru,
have fun. I hope those cars resonated with you. Simple
quick update and yeah, look forward to chatting with you
next week. Hooo big love, do the shit you love.

Speaker 1 (09:55):
Bye.

Are You A Charlotte?

Are You A Charlotte?

In 1997, actress Kristin Davis’ life was forever changed when she took on the role of Charlotte York in Sex and the City. As we watched Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte navigate relationships in NYC, the show helped push once unacceptable conversation topics out of the shadows and altered the narrative around women and sex. We all saw ourselves in them as they searched for fulfillment in life, sex and friendships. Now, Kristin Davis wants to connect with you, the fans, and share untold stories and all the behind the scenes. Together, with Kristin and special guests, what will begin with Sex and the City will evolve into talks about themes that are still so relevant today. "Are you a Charlotte?" is much more than just rewatching this beloved show, it brings the past and the present together as we talk with heart, humor and of course some optimism.
