Thank you.

Speaker 1 (00:31):
What's your name?

Speaker 2 (00:32):
Matthew? Sofo?

Speaker 1 (00:33):
And what do I call you?

Speaker 2 (00:35):
Boss?

Speaker 1 (00:36):
That's right?

Speaker 2 (00:37):
What do I call you?

Speaker 1 (00:39):
Boss? ALINGI? I don't know.

Speaker 2 (00:40):
Actually, I've gotten into the habit of like trying to
find new new names to call you, like my little
pumpkin pie or my little or whatever it is you
call me.

Speaker 1 (00:52):
You called me last night a peach cobbler.

Speaker 2 (00:55):
I did, Yes, so different pies and different desserts I
call you. Well.

Speaker 1 (00:59):
That brings me to the next question. Are you sweet
or savory?

Speaker 2 (01:03):
I would say I used to be sweet, I would say,
now I'm savory.

Speaker 1 (01:07):
What's your favorite meal? What are we going to make
chili tonight?

Speaker 2 (01:11):
Yeah? We are. Chili's a very American thing, though A whisky. Yeah,
I mean become a bit more of a recent in
the last year and a half thing. But yeah, I
mean any Italian food of course. Yeah. Do you want
to ask you these two? I already know what you are.

Speaker 1 (01:28):
I'm sweet. Yeah, and what do you think my favorite
meal is? I know, I know sweet or savory pumpkin pie. Yeah,
that's my American edition. But okay, you make a lins
of tort?

Speaker 2 (01:42):
Do you remember we were going through old photos from
my birthdack from our birthday year like, yeah, in twenty
twenty and I was making lins of torts like every
second week.

Speaker 1 (01:54):
No, that was the COVID life. Okay. Do you have
a favorite city? New York? Yes, Melbourne.

Speaker 2 (02:08):
No, my is not my favorite city. Yeah, I would
say New York is amazing, but I've only been there once.

Speaker 1 (02:17):
I think because of more fun city.

Speaker 2 (02:19):
I mean, you have been to Europe, so like you know,
going to Florence, going to peas are amazing. Yeah, amazing.

Speaker 1 (02:26):
Well you can take me, thanks, so we can go
next year. Right? What about your favorite nature spot where
Australia here one of each American in Australia.

Speaker 2 (02:36):
I mean anywhere in Byron in Australia. And here Joshua Tree.
But I would also add now Jackson Hole and Yellowstone
the ground Titons.

Speaker 1 (02:50):
So can I answer those two questions?

Speaker 2 (02:52):
Yes, you can.

Speaker 1 (02:54):
Favorite city, I would say New York so far. Love
that city, and I love that there's just the energy
is just like go, go go. I love sitting in
that energy. I'm sure it would burn you out eventually,
You've only been as a holiday. And then my favorite
nature spot is I love Broken Head Beach in Barron Bay.
And then I would say I would say seeing that

(03:16):
sunrise at Schwabacker Landing in the Grand Teiton. That's pretty
much last week and I forced you to do it
twice because it was cloud in the first time sunrise.
I got him up at sunrise? Okay, what's your favorite
quality about yourself?

Speaker 2 (03:29):
Mm? I think I have a really good ability to learn,
learn and learn new skills and be adaptable. You do, yeah,
I mean I could be like, yeah, I'm kind, I'm nice,
but like, no, I think I think the best quality

(03:52):
is that I'm a willingness to learn, my willingness to
learn and adapt and change, and but yeah, I think
it's mainly learning.

Speaker 1 (04:00):
Yeah, nice, I like that.

Speaker 2 (04:02):
What do you think yours is I'm.

Speaker 1 (04:03):
A connector, but sometimes at my own cost. So like
I think I like that about myself, but I also
don't like it about myself when I do it at
my own Like I'll do something and then like it'll
get taken advantage of a bit. So I don't like
the flip side of it.

Speaker 2 (04:17):
I think I feel that a lot of people.

Speaker 1 (04:19):
But I love connecting the right people. Okay, do you
have a non negotiable something? I know what yours is?

Speaker 2 (04:26):
Meditating?

Speaker 1 (04:26):
Yeah, self care, negotiable yours. I haven't done one in
ages but mum b yoga probably. Yeah, I haven't done
in ys yoga?

Speaker 2 (04:36):
Yeah? Did it like a week and a half ago?
You went?

Speaker 1 (04:39):
Did I?

Speaker 2 (04:40):
Yeah? I went to Y seven.

Speaker 1 (04:42):
I've got to go more often.

Speaker 2 (04:43):
Moved.

Speaker 1 (04:43):
No, I went to Silver Lake. Yeah, that Silver legg plays. Okay,
do you have a favorite movie. I've never asked you this.

Speaker 2 (04:50):
No, don't have a favorite movie. I would say there's like,
way way too many movies.

Speaker 1 (04:55):
That let's just recommend.

Speaker 2 (04:57):
But I would say that one of the most watched
movies of my entire life and I still love it
is Greece.

Speaker 1 (05:03):
Oh you do?

Speaker 2 (05:04):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (05:05):
Yeah, I would say one of mine on I have
a few. I could repeat watch Sakario Parts of the
Caribbean one, two or three, and I love rely watching
Blood Diamonds, Great and Gentlemen.

Speaker 2 (05:18):
Yeah, but it's I think it's going to be like,
what's the movie? Like you grew up watching hundreds of times?
So there was for me growing up was Greece. Yeah,
and the other one one was Witches.

Speaker 1 (05:30):
Do you remember Witches? And they yeah, and they turned
kids to mice. It was like traumatizing. There's a whole
thing about millennials watching kids movie.

Speaker 2 (05:40):
Yeah, that's right, with like adult themes. The other the
other movie that I watched religiously as a kid, and
I'm really happy my little nephews are watching it now goos. Yeah. Yeah.
So it's like Steve Martin, Martin Short and Chevy Chase,
you know. Yeah. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (05:54):
When you get this is a loaded question. When you
get good news, it's the first person new call you good? Nice? Nice?

Speaker 2 (06:05):
Who do you call?

Speaker 1 (06:07):
We live together? So you yeah, then probably my dad
after that, I would yeah.

Speaker 2 (06:11):
Yeah, actually, probably it's only you. I perfertly tell anyone else, no,
you don't.

Speaker 1 (06:15):
You're not a yell things from the tree.

Speaker 2 (06:18):
Tops lad No, maybe Adam like Adam.

Speaker 1 (06:23):
Yeah, just to make this theme around the end of
the year Pod and pod advice, any pot advice, like
just a titbit for people that may not have listened
to the long format yet.

Speaker 2 (06:35):
Whatever you do, be passionate about it, come from a
good place, still with love, and take the time to
learn every aspect you know, like don't there's no shortcuts.
You got it, you gotta do.

Speaker 1 (06:47):
It, mom. Would be preparation and consistency whatever time and
day you say you're going to bring a pot out,
stick to it and prepare so that you can enjoy
wherever the guest wants to take the chat perfect, you know.
And then final one because it's end of the wrap up.
Favorite pod of the year. I know, not fair. It's
like picking a favorite child, not.

Speaker 2 (07:09):
Going to pick an up right, But I will say
in general, it's been nice to have some pod guests
that have become friends Josh and Linda, Josh, Linda western Way,
Chloe Wilson like you know, I mean, even Claire like recently.
It's just nice, like meeting nice people. So I would

(07:30):
say those ones that have kind of become friends and
maintained a friendship with has been the highlights.

Speaker 1 (07:35):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (07:35):
Nice.

Speaker 1 (07:37):
I think Linda and Josh have been so fun because
that was just a chance meeting. Yeah, we would just
sat next to it. Josh and I were sat next
to each other and at this Australian lunch thing, and
so that felt really fun to see that come to life.
And then I would say our Wyoming travel Diary. I
just loved that. We literally got off the plane, got
home and then next morning recorded that pod, and all

(07:59):
the memories were so fresh, Like I literally had the
Yellow Soon and the Grand Teeth on map out, and
I had so many notes. I was making notes the
whole trip for the podcast. I got a lot of prep.

Speaker 2 (08:08):
Actually, as we were driving, you were like just writing notes.

Speaker 1 (08:11):
Yeah, because I wanted to remember our itinerary really clearly.

Speaker 2 (08:14):
And if you haven't listened to that episode, I do
tell a ghost story.

Speaker 1 (08:19):
He does go back and listen to our Wyoming.

Speaker 2 (08:22):
Two Ghosts over to Nights.

Speaker 1 (08:23):
Yeah, it's true, it's true. Thank you, Boss. Here's another
year of podcasting and many more years to come

Speaker 2 (08:30):
Many more to I love it so much, love you,
love you, Bye Bo

Are You A Charlotte?

Are You A Charlotte?

In 1997, actress Kristin Davis’ life was forever changed when she took on the role of Charlotte York in Sex and the City. As we watched Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte navigate relationships in NYC, the show helped push once unacceptable conversation topics out of the shadows and altered the narrative around women and sex. We all saw ourselves in them as they searched for fulfillment in life, sex and friendships. Now, Kristin Davis wants to connect with you, the fans, and share untold stories and all the behind the scenes. Together, with Kristin and special guests, what will begin with Sex and the City will evolve into talks about themes that are still so relevant today. "Are you a Charlotte?" is much more than just rewatching this beloved show, it brings the past and the present together as we talk with heart, humor and of course some optimism.
