In today’s episode, I explore yet another swords card. This time it’s the oft-feared 10 of Swords — a card of endings, betrayals, losses, and, sometimes, deaths (usually metaphorical).
With the Death oracle card appearing alongside it this week, we’re reminded of the apparent finality of this tarot archetype. It’s an ending that makes way for a new beginning. But in order to get there, we need to surrender. And, often, we need to set our sights on what’s possible instead of lingering in what was and allowing it to break us down all over again.
I talk about how exploring literal death can help us more easefully navigate the metaphorical deaths we experience throughout our lives. Content warning: This episode does have some semi-graphic (but short) mentions of a recent death that happened close to me.
