Rich has always been a computer geek and an entrepreneur at heart. He started Tragic in 2009 after leaving a prominent agency in San Diego, to create a company to fill a gap he saw in the digital service industry. There were many established design and marketing agencies, but development was often haphazardly outsourced abroad or to individual contractors.
Rich sought to build a software agency that could scale and support businesses with their ever-changing technology initiatives.
Over the last 13 years of scaling his development agency, Rich has also served in various other roles from CTO to an advisor to technology partner.
