This immersive musical performance fuses the raw, soulful power of authentic Delta Blues with the grandeur of a symphony orchestra. The cinematic narration by Freeman delivers powerful storytelling, with masterful performances by Blues artists from the Ground Zero Blues Club in Clarksdale, MS. It’s a one-night only concert of sweeping orchestral arrangements, and Symphonic Blues, that takes place September 26th at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center in Nashville. This performance also shines a light on the Delta region’s enduring spirit and the pivotal role of the Ground Zero Blues Club in Clarksdale, Mississippi. Morgan Freeman speaks exclusively about this upcoming event, along with his blues brother-in-business, entrepreneur visionary Eric Meier. The two, and others, are co-owners of the Ground Zero Blues Club. With Freeman lending his iconic voice and presence to the performance, and Meier driving the creative vision, this genre-defying showcase reimagines American music through a lens of elegance, grit, and storytelling.
