This style of learning involves adapting TTRPGs for traditional classrooms and offers multiple ways to engage students in active learning, especially those students whose preferred learning style isn't what is considered standard. Game-based learning is more prevalent than you might expect and can improve learning outcomes and help students of all learning styles be more engaged with learning.
