“If you develop or even have all of the physical abilities and all of the physical skill sets, THEY ESSENTIALLY ARE USELESS, if you don’t have the right mental skills to help let them come out.”

--Dr. Bobby Low

“We know that there's lots of things that come into our minds as performers or as athletes that interfere with our performance-- that block our performance-- that inhibit our performance... My job is to help unblock all those things and teach individuals the correct thinking patterns. So they can unlock their performance and perform their best.”

Dr. Bobby Low, an accomplished mental strength coach at BYU with a rich background in sport and performance psychology, joins us for a 2 part episode where we come to understand how mental strength opens the door for optimal performance in any endeavor.

He shares how comprehensive mental strength can be built. How words and language impact our brain and body’s ability to perform. We discuss the science behind how motivation and momentum are achieved. How to best handle the challenges of tough teammates and leaders (coaches, teachers, mentors, instructors, etc.) We learn about the important shift from arrogance to confidence and why there is a difference.

And most of all we learn how to best help our own children find joy in the process whilst also unlocking their full potential.

This is one of our favorite episodes yet! Don't miss this one.
