Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome everyone,
welcome back, welcome back to
another episode Finding Our WayHome.
Of course, I am RichardRavenbrook.
You know this podcast is We'vechanged the name several times,
trying to find the perfect namethat fits for exactly what it is
(00:20):
that Spirit's trying to do,fits for exactly what it is that
spirit's trying to do, and itseems like different titles for
different times and differentmannerisms.
You know, basically, justwhat's going on in society and
what's going on in our life.
Some of us are just now leavingreligion.
Some people are finding theirway home, but you know, in
(00:45):
finding our way home, but youknow, in finding our way home,
that can be the roughest, toughest, most rockiest place
there can be.
We're going to start this Newname.
We're going to start this witha new season.
We're going to start this withNot only the podcast, but we're
(01:05):
going to have literature, booksto go with it.
As many know, we have put outseveral books.
A Rising Voice Publishing LLChas put out many different books
the Christian Witch, theDeconstructing of Religion,
(01:26):
several books that will helpChristians or anyone that is
leaving religion and findingtheir way back to, whether it be
paganism or just the old waysor whether it just be.
But there's all kinds ofliterature that has come out now
(01:49):
, whether it be paganism or justthe old ways or whether it just
be.
But there's all kinds ofliterature that has come out now
, even the magical path, ajourney back to our roots.
So many, the deconstruction ofreligion is an amazing one.
But for those people that liketo walk the Christian witch path
and don't quite understand howto put all the pieces together
(02:09):
to make it acceptable or how toexplain to others why it is
acceptable, the brand new bookthe Christian Witch, a Journey
of the Spiritual Understanding, just came out.
And if you can't afford it, ifyou can't afford to purchase any
kind of book, let me know, shoot me an email and I'll send
(02:31):
you a code so you can get it forabsolutely nothing.
Just send me an email and sayhey look, I can't.
You know it's tight, money'stight right now.
I'll send you a code.
You can get it on Kindle or anyother e-reader Absolutely free.
I'll send you a code.
You can get it on Kindle or anyother e-reader Absolutely free.
But what Spirit wants to talkabout today is that finding our
(02:51):
way home.
When we reached that point, wekind of finally surrendered,
didn't we, we kind ofsurrendered to the Spirit in the
knowledge of things justweren't right, we just weren't
happy.
We knew within our own soul, within our own spirit, that
(03:19):
where we were and what we werebeing taught or what we were
teaching was not completely andtotally correct.
The sad part about some of thedoctrine that is preached today
is it's not all lies.
Some of it is truth.
(03:39):
It's just got enough falsehoodto it to deceive.
Just enough truth to keep manypeople happy in pursuing it.
But it doesn't give youeverything.
It keeps you with limited powerand in maximum control and in
(04:05):
maximum control.
And when spirit begins to shakeyou and shake you off of that
tree with all the other fruit, you know it's.
Things change, everythingchanges, and I wrote these books
, I put out these books to helpand what you have, something
(04:33):
physical in your hand to go backto and to, so you can remember,
something that you can studyfrom.
But nothing is, nothing is morepowerful, nothing is more,
nothing is better than spirit.
You know that quiet littlevoice that's within you, that's
(04:55):
already been guiding you for solong.
Spirit's amazing.
We have our own spirit withinus and I Believe I've taught
this.
But you know what is a soul.
Soul is when spirit comes incontact with a physical vessel.
(05:19):
That is the soul.
It is our physical essence, ourmind, the things that we've
learned here on earth.
Spirit is the essence of life, that sparked, that gave breath
to this physical body.
(05:40):
That's why, when the body dies, the soul leaves, the spirit
leaves.
There is no soul without thebody.
We are spirit in a physicalexperience and when we begin to
find our way home, we findourselves and who we are not.
(06:08):
Who we are is the person thatour parents named us, not the
person that's on your SocialSecurity card or your ID, but
the spirit that is within you.
Who are you?
Who are you that, when thisphysical vessel passes on, that
(06:34):
you will continue, that you willmove forward onto a new
experience, onto new learning.
We don't know everything that'sgoing to happen, but we do know
that this is not the end.
Every religion and everytheological thought Understands
(07:02):
that this is not the end.
We may have our different ideas, we may have our different
names and titles, but in itselfthey are all the same.
We live and breathe, we loveand we die.
(07:24):
We love and we die, but it'swhat we do in between all of
that, what we do from birth todeath, what we learned not just
from this physical world, butwhat we learned from the
physical and how it's applied tothe spiritual.
(07:44):
Why is this life so hard?
What makes it so hard?
What makes it so difficult?
Emotions seem out of control intoday's society.
It seems like we're bound andmixed in this chaos of emotions
(08:08):
and opinion and insults andpeople just you know being
offended and you know I've saidthis once before, many times
before actually that offendedand being offended is a matter
of spiritual maturity.
(08:29):
When you become spirituallymature, you'll no longer be
offended by what people do andwhat they say.
That you won't, it won't matterwithin you, because you'll
understand that whatever it isthat they're doing, it's okay
(08:53):
because it's not you doing itand the only person you're
responsible for is you.
You are the only one that willbe held accountable for what you
do and what you don't do.
That's why we say love is allwe need in this world, and stop
(09:15):
judging and stop ridiculing andstop condemning and stop trying
to play God and telling peoplewhat they should believe and how
they should live and how theyshould not live, what is right
and wrong for their lives, whenit's not for us to decide that.
(09:36):
We've said that.
Well being in society, we haveto conform to certain rules and
certain laws and certain and Iagree to that to a point.
But when those laws begin torestrict others simply because
of a theological thought, thenwe've crossed the line.
(09:57):
Laws of morality are differentthan laws of safety protection.
And you know we have a speedlimit.
Well, we're supposed to have aspeed limit.
I don't think most peoplefollow it anymore, but we have
(10:19):
that for our own protection.
We have that for our ownprotection.
We have that to bring in somekind of control so that if
everybody were to follow therules, less people would be hurt
.
That law is for everyone.
(10:41):
It doesn't discriminate betweenrace, religion, gender or
anything else.
It's all the same for everybody.
But if you take that same thingwith, say, a religious person
that says well, I only believethat marriage is supposed to be
between a straight man and astraight woman and that's the
(11:04):
only thing, and everything elseis a sin and cannot be allowed
in the United States, well, thatlaw is infringe upon someone's
ability to love, to be with theperson.
(11:28):
That is the person for them.
It would interfere with theirwill, their desires for life,
their desires for life and, asI've said before, if God, him or
(11:51):
Herself, will not interveneagainst a person's will, but
will allow each and every one ofus to live as we choose to live
, then who are you to try tochange or make it or be any
different than God?
Your accountability residesonly with you and theirs with
(12:17):
them.
But we have so many people outthere right now trying to
control.
We're trying to bring back theBible in schools and we're
trying to make abortioncompletely illegal and actually
make it to where it's ahomicidal crime.
You know and it's sad in spiritto know that women are going to
(12:43):
be treated with such indignityand disrespect and dishonor that
I'm not one that likes abortion, but I am one that understands
that there is a time and a placeand that there are
circumstances and situationswhere it is a must, and what
(13:09):
those things are should bebetween the woman and her doctor
, no one else.
When the woman's life is indanger, when a young child is
impregnated due to incest, things of that nature, and then
(13:30):
we sit back and say that well, they have to have this child or
they'll go to jail, because Godis pro-life and would absolutely
be against all of this.
And to those people I would sayhave you read your Bible at all
(13:51):
?
The entire Old Testament and amajority even of the New
Testament?
God is telling people to go outand slay everyone, including
the children.
God is telling people to go outand slay everyone, including
the children.
That this is the same God thatkilled every living soul on this
(14:12):
planet except for one family.
That's not pro-life, not in theway that you're saying pro-life
is.
Even God knew there was a timeand a place that a line has to
be drawn and sometimes it iswhat's best.
(14:32):
But we've got people out therethat are trying to play God,
that have no idea of whatdivinity and godliness actually
is.
Because if your godliness isbased upon law or you know just
rules, then you have no divinityand you know God.
You don't know God at all.
(14:55):
God is spirit, same spirit thatI've been talking about.
When spirit leads me here andspirit leads me there, you can
call God by all kinds ofdifferent names.
You can see God as manifestedin any form or in no form
(15:15):
whatsoever but energy.
Some people see God in physicalways, in physical
manifestations like Zeus andThor and just you know so many
Odin.
We see the gods in so manydifferent ways, but that's our
(15:40):
perception of how we see things.
But that's our perception ofhow we see things.
But it all, when it comes downto it, it all centers back
together.
It's all the same.
God is spirit and spirit has nophysical essence in and of
(16:01):
itself, but when spirit matcheswith physical, it manifests into
a soul and a real physicalbeing, and I hope this all makes
sense.
But we're trying to find ourway home.
We surrender to all that wesurrender to all that we
(16:27):
surrender to.
You know the idea that you knowI've lived this, I've lived this
life and I've been thisparticular religion for so long
and then, all of a sudden, it,you know it's.
It's not that it's a lie, butit's not the complete truth.
And then I have been completetruth and that I have been lied
to, and I've been lied to by thepeople that I love and that
(16:48):
love me, and that I've been liedto by people that honestly
think they're telling the truth, and that many people are being
deceived day after day after daybecause they believe in what
they're doing and there's noother greater power than a
person that is that believes inwhat they're doing and has the
(17:11):
faith and the strength and theboldness to push through it.
That's a dangerous person, especially when what they have
is not the truth.
You know, the truth is a verynarrow, narrow way.
Sometimes it's a lonely way,sometimes it's a way that is
(17:35):
full of thorns and full ofobstacles, because it's not very
well traveled, because all theother paths that are well
traveled and already cleared, those are all the people that
are just following after eachother, not really listening, not
really learning, not reallycaring.
(17:56):
They just follow.
But you know that that's not thedirection for you.
But the direction for yourequires you to blaze a new path
and that's not easy.
But if we do some research andwe sit down and we ask Spirit,
spirit leads us to other peoplethat are going through the same
(18:18):
thing.
And even though there's manytimes that you will have to walk
alone and that you will befaced in times and trials where
people will question you andwill verbally hurt you and
insult you, and that's when thespiritual maturity comes in To
(18:39):
understand that don't beoffended, don't be angry,
because they come at you withgood intention.
They don't understand they knownot what they do and just
continue on with what you knowyou need to do be.
(19:02):
You continue on that path.
Speak a word of manifestationand attention, or pray for those
people if you choose that maybea glimpse of light will show
them the way as well, that maybethey'll stop just being
(19:25):
followers and that someday thatsome of them can actually be
leaders to help others Notnecessarily follow the leader,
but to be their own leadersthemselves, to be able to lead
themselves through these trialsand storms that we go through in
(19:48):
this life.
This life is hard that we gothrough in this life.
This life is hard, and it'shard because, or it's harder for
us that desire more spiritually, those of us that desire truth.
You know it's harder.
It's so much easier just tobelieve that, well, these people
(20:13):
, they go to church once ortwice a week, they work, they
pay their bills, they have somefamily time and they think that,
well, that's all there is.
You know they're completelyhappy.
But then there's us that tossand turn at night, knowing that
(20:33):
there's more out there, knowingthat there's a greater power
than what we see.
And it's because we are pulledout, we are separated from them,
not because they're anydifferent or because they're bad
or anything else, but becausewe were meant for more
(20:56):
spiritually.
We were meant to teach, we weremeant to help in the balance
the balance of truth and liesand deceit To help guide the
true ones.
Because a gathering is near, atime is near, a new time, a new
(21:22):
society, new time ofenlightenment is so close that
most of us can feel it withinour we almost get goosebumps and
the hairs on our arms stand up,because we know, we feel it,
that something great is about tohappen.
Some of us see it in differentperspectives, in different
(21:46):
lights.
We know we see things as wechoose to see them.
We see them as we were raisedin our traditions, and that's
why a lot of people see god indifferent mannerisms and
different, in different formsand fashions.
But and that's perfectlyacceptable, because, as long as
(22:07):
we don't, how do I want to saythis?
How do we?
As long as we don't, how do Iwant to say this?
How do we, as long as we don'tlose the fact that this walk is
for us and that we have tocontinuously keep looking in,
the gods are always there toassist us and to help us, to
help us, to help guide us, butit is up to us to take those
(22:32):
steps.
No one is going to us to takethose steps, no one is going to
pick you up and move you.
It is up to you to keep movingforward.
They may give you the boldness, they may give you the courage,
but you've got to be the one tochop through that forest of
(22:54):
thorns and to push through Tofind that one tree of life that
grants you all the things thatyou are looking for.
Take some time and think aboutthe things that Spirit has said
about finding our way home, because right now, right now is
(23:19):
such an important time.
January 20th is coming up.
Many people are very afraid.
They have very good reason tobe afraid.
World is in chaos, this countryis in chaos and I have a real
big feeling things are going toget a whole lot worse and we
need to stick together, us likeminded people.
(23:41):
We need to be able to find away to stick together.
You know, subscribe to thispodcast, share my books that are
out under Richard Ravenbrook.
You can find them on Amazon, google Play, kobo books, just
like Kindle.
You know, apple books you canfind them on Apple books and,
(24:04):
like I said, if you can't affordthem, just shoot me an email
and I'll give you a code whereyou can get them absolutely,
absolutely free, because spiritgoes into those and there's a
lot of education in those.
A lot of you know how to findthe similarities Within the
different religions and why whatyou're doing is not wrong and
(24:28):
when people come at you and wantto argue, well, what about this
and what about that?
You'll have something to argueback if needed.
Always remember don't arguewith someone that's not ready to
(24:50):
learn, because all you'll bedoing is throwing pearls to the
swines.
They're not ready to learn, they won't accept anything.
You try to teach, but what youdo is sometimes you just plant a
little seed, you mentionsomething that you've learned in
the books or through thepodcast or through spirit,
(25:10):
hopefully and you just walk away, because arguing a lot of times
just makes it worse.
But our education, our time withspirit, creates a wisdom in all
of this and when we're tryingto find our way home, home
(25:31):
spiritually Home, to when thisphysical body is gone, it's time
to go home.
This isn't all Believe in that, whether you've left the church
or whether you've left any othermainstream religion and people
try to tell you that you're notgoing to go.
(25:52):
You're not going to go to ourheaven.
Yes, you will go where you weresupposed to go.
Spirit will go back to where itbelongs and spirit does not die
(26:16):
to where it belongs and spiritdoes not die.
A lot of control, peoplepreaching hell, preaching
damnation, and all this.
If you don't follow all theserules, it's sad in spirit
Because you can't growenlightenment and love.
And through fear, not that kindof fear, there is a fear in
(26:43):
wisdom that you know that it'sfor your best good, it's for the
better good, it's for your bestgood, it's for the better good
it's for.
But this kind of fear overcontrol that if you don't do
this you won't get that, that'snot love, that's not spirit.
(27:04):
Spirit is completely free, complete liberty, freedom to
explore, freedom to explore, freedom to express.
And the lessons that we learncome from those things.
Because we know when we've madea mistake.
We know it because we feel itwithin us.
(27:26):
We feel the pain within us whenwe've messed up, because that's
spirit.
And we know within us when we'reon the right path, what makes
us happy and what makes us wantmore and what fulfills us and
brings us joy.
Those are the things that weneed to continue, because spirit
(27:51):
is telling us these things.
We need to learn to trustSpirit.
We need to learn to trust thatlittle voice that's within us.
Trust is the way to finding ourway home.
Not trusting in just otherpeople, not trusting in a
(28:13):
particular teacher or a mentor, but taking those things as a
guide, yes, but trustingyourself, the Spirit.
Don't be afraid to make thosemistakes.
Don't be afraid to make thosemistakes, just don't be afraid,
(28:35):
or don't stop spirit when spirittries to convict you or to lead
you somewhere else or to rewardyou in any kind of way, by
feelings of joy and acceptance, because that's how we learn.
May each and every one of you, this very week, come to a
(29:01):
greater realization of who youare and a greater closeness and
connection to the divine andeverything around you.
Be blessed everybody andblessed be.
Thank you.
