I have to be honest, today’s episode is special to me.
Each week, I get to sit down and talk with some pretty amazing people doing amazing things in this world, but I haven’t yet had the chance to sit down with with anyone who stood along side me and who played a first hand role in my own transformational journey—meaning someone who was physically there with me.
As some of you might know, when I left the NFL, I moved to Canada where I did a deep dive into my own healing which transformed my life in the most unimaginable ways. Today’s guest, Tim McMorris, was one of the key people who played a pivotal role in my transformation. He created space for me, encouraged me, mentored me, and mirrored back to me things I just wasn’t able to see myself.
But, here’s the deal, Tim isn’t some pastor or life-coach. He’s actually an internationally recognized music producer, composer and recording artists. His music has been featured in marketing campaigns from some of the biggest brands around the world—brands like Toyota, Adidas, Subway and Samuel Adams.
And, I’m not just saying this because he’s a friend, but Tim’s music is some of the most life-giving music I’ve ever listened to. Regardless if you’re a music fan or not, I promise you’ll get something out of this episode. Like so many other people who’ve accomplished their dreams or who are highly successful, Tim’s journey wasn’t linear and it definitely didn’t happen in a way that he expected it to happen. So, we dive deep into the journey of shifting your perspective while holding on to your dreams, overcoming adversity and most importantly, staying true to yourself.
