Luke Coan is an accomplished Chef, working for many successful restaurants including a James Beard Award winning restaurant, The Publican. His journey has been one of grit. He struggled to find his way and contimplated suicide on numerous occasions. The kitchen became his saving grace, enabling him to grow both professionally and personally.

About Luke Coan
Luke Coan is a former Chicago Chef with 10+ years experience opening and operating restaurants, including Sous Chef and Catering & Events Chef at the James Beard Award winning restaurant The Publican, Executive Sous-Chef for the opening team at Fisk & Co, and Culinary Director for Col Kitchen & Cafe in Colorado.
Luke worked his way up from shucking oysters to running the catering for weddings and music festivals, and is now transitioning from working in restaurants into restaurant tech.
In his spare time, Luke is an avid rock climber and hiker, having hiked the entire Appalachian Trail in 2021.
