Leah’s husband was killed in June 2018 by a distracted driver while driving his tractor. The recovery process has been rough, especially with and for the kids. Throughout the process, they would have a single fly visit them, just often enough to notice. This was no normal fly as it could be handed from person to person. The fly became a symbol of strength for the family which ultimately led to In The Blink of a Fly was born. What started out as a Facebook page for Leah to share her struggles, successes and to help prevent something like this happening to others. She has, and continues to speak at schools and businesses in the area.
