On this episode, I had the pleasure of sitting down and talking with Sgt. Michael Sugrue. Michael is the co-author of the International Best Selling book Relentless Courage: Winning the Battle Against Frontline Trauma.
Michael is an USAF Veteran and served with the Phoenix Ravens while in the Air Force. After his time in the military, Michael joined the Walnut Creek Police Department in California. He had the career he had always wanted until December 27th of 2012. Michael and his fellow officers responded to a barricade situation and were confronted with a suspect with a knife. His book covers the incident, the court proceedings years afterwards, his struggles with PTSD and his recovery afterward.
