(00:23):
All right, beth, welcome to theshow.
Speaker 2 (00:46):
Yeah, I'm excited to
be here.
Speaker 1 (00:47):
I am so excited that
you're here.
You were just telling me beforewe got started that all the
clients are like when are yougoing to do your episode, beth?
So I'm excited to be able tohave you on here and at this
time this is coming out.
I think it's like September bythe time this is coming out.
At this time this is coming out.
I think it's like September bythe time this is coming out.
So I'm excited to beinterviewing you because I'll
(01:09):
tell you what.
You were a client for years.
Speaker 2 (01:12):
Yeah, five or six
years, yeah, maybe more, I don't
know.
Speaker 1 (01:15):
Yeah, let's kind of
just start there.
When and why did you originallystart coming to Fit Body?
Speaker 2 (01:24):
So let's start with,
like when roughly I think it was
like 2018, end of 2018,beginning of 2019.
At that time, we were in ourold location, yep yep Down over
by Salon Centric yeah, and thatsubway that was over there.
Is that how you?
Speaker 1 (01:37):
found us.
Speaker 2 (01:38):
Actually, I was a
hairstylist and so I went to a
leads group and I met you atthis leads group and right at
that time I had been justfinished with my personal
trainer that I worked with forabout a year.
Okay, I lost 20 pounds workingwith her.
Yeah.
And then my sessions had endedwith her and I was like looking
for something new, because goingto the gym by myself just
(01:59):
wasn't working.
Yeah, so I met you at thisleads group and you were like
I'm CJ, this is spunky as can be.
Yeah, I was like I like this guy, you're imagining myself, kind
of, and you were like, comecheck out my gym and you gave me
like a three-month promo orsomething Like it was the
perfect opportunity for me.
And I came and I went withD'Andra Do you remember D'Andra?
(02:20):
Yeah, of course.
And Jake Fee let's go Shout outto the Fees.
Yeah, let's go.
Really awesome people.
So she was one of my reallygood friends still is and we
came together for our firstworkout and I think you were on
the mic.
I'm not sure.
There was not very many coacheswhen I first started, but the
second I walked in I was like Ilike this place.
Speaker 1 (02:41):
This is where I am.
Were we at that time, were wered, white and blue and I was
like I like this place yeah.
This is where I am.
Were we at that time?
Were we red, white and blue?
Yes, we were, yep, okay.
Speaker 2 (02:47):
You had just like
been planning to paint
everything and change everything.
Okay.
Speaker 1 (02:51):
Yeah, and that's wild
.
Takes me back down memory lanea little bit, because when I
opened Fit Body in 2015, and Ithink maybe I did an episode on
this or something, but I knowfor sure I've talked with you
guys about signing my franchiseagreement, not really knowing
what I was getting into.
Yeah, and then I get thisplaybook and they're like well,
paint your building red, whiteand blue.
(03:12):
Okay, so I did that.
But then they're like oh, hey,we're going to go version 2.0.
Yeah, and that's when, then, the gray walls and the gray mat
because we used to have a bluemat yeah, um, it was wild yeah,
right, you would.
Speaker 2 (03:25):
Just you would change
the mat like right after I had
started, as sure it was brightblue yeah, bright blue, um, very
retro I like.
Speaker 1 (03:33):
Oh yeah, yeah,
throwback it reminded me of like
uh, some captain america type, like, like I don't know, almost
like there's red, white and blue, like go usa yes, yes, very usa
patriotic, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 2 (03:45):
So I started um after
I had met you and I was in a
very different place in my lifeand I was just at a point where
I had lost this 20 pounds.
But it was kind of stuck.
Yeah.
And so I needed a little bitextra push to get me to kind of
where I wanted to go.
And I worked with you and CoachVicki a lot.
Really you guys changed my life, the trajectory of my life.
(04:08):
So that's kind of how I gotstarted as a client.
Speaker 1 (04:12):
Because you've had a
pretty significant weight loss,
right?
Yes, how much weight have youlost?
Speaker 2 (04:17):
Well, pregnant now,
but-.
Speaker 1 (04:19):
Yeah, yeah, yeah,
you're growing a baby.
Speaker 2 (04:21):
Growing a baby.
So that's changing things alittle bit.
But prior to that, right before, like about two weeks before I
found out that I was pregnant, Ihad hit my 100 pounds down.
No way.
Speaker 1 (04:30):
Yeah, I don't even
know if I knew that.
Speaker 2 (04:33):
I don't know if I
told you that or not.
Speaker 1 (04:35):
Dude high five on
that.
You hit 100 pounds down.
That's huge.
Yeah, that is life changing, that's huge.
Speaker 2 (04:43):
Yeah, that is life
changing.
Speaker 1 (04:43):
A hundred percent,
yeah, a hundred percent.
And so you started that fitbody.
At that point in time You're 20pounds down, so you went on to
losing another 80 pounds.
Yep, like that is just wild.
Yeah, and yeah, I remember youand Deandra coming together,
working together Yep, becauseDeandra, I think, was who was
originally in that group.
(05:04):
Yes, and then you, like, subbedfor her.
Speaker 2 (05:06):
Yes, well, I was
looking for my own and she was
like hey, do you want to gocheck mine Got it, and then she
ended up joining, and then Iwent to a different one, Perfect
Well, hey, you know what Allthings worked out.
Speaker 1 (05:17):
At that time were you
with your husband your husband?
Speaker 2 (05:27):
No, I was not.
I was actually with my ex atthe time, um, and he was not
very supportive of, like, thefood that I was eating or the
exercise that I was doing, andso that made it really really
hard for me and I did yo-yo alittle bit back and forth.
Um, but life happens, things goin the way and that's okay.
You kind of got to just pivotand set yourself back up for
success.
Speaker 1 (05:45):
Yeah, and so let's
talk about that a little bit, I
guess, because we have a ton ofclients that are going to be
watching this, yeah, a ton ofpeople that maybe are looking
for how to get their health andfitness going.
Yeah, what does having asupportive significant other or
not how much of a play did thathave in your own life?
(06:06):
It means everything, honestly.
Speaker 2 (06:08):
Like having that
person, that is like cheering
you on instead of sabotaging you, is very, very important, and I
think that just having thatconfidence and building that
confidence and then having thatperson, that's like, oh my gosh,
you're doing great.
Like keep going keep settingthose goals.
It's super helpful and superimportant.
So I think very, very much thatif your significant other is
(06:31):
not supporting you, and thatdoesn't mean that you can't do
it, but it's going to be verydifficult, yeah, so it took me
so long.
Speaker 1 (06:36):
Yeah, yeah.
So when did you end up startingto date, jake?
When did you guys?
Speaker 2 (06:57):
We started dating in
like not really too long after I
started at Fit Body.
Yeah.
So I must've been started in2018, because I'd started dating
Jake in June of 2019.
Okay, so Okay.
Speaker 1 (07:15):
About six months,
yeah, and and so that support
there with you, plus findingpeople at the gym that support
you, because then your momentered the realm of thanks.
I begged her for so long.
Yeah, when did she start coming?
Speaker 2 (07:33):
She started coming
like two years after me.
Yeah, she had tried otherthings.
I had put her through bootcampworkouts at Great Life and stuff
.
Speaker 1 (07:41):
Sure.
Speaker 2 (07:42):
And she was like oh
my gosh, every single time I
kicked her butt.
You know, I just tried so longto convince her to come and
check out Fit Body.
Yeah, finally she went to adifferent gym that was similar
to Fit Body and um, they didn'ttreat her very well.
She didn't have a very goodexperience and I said just come
check out my gym.
Yeah.
Like this will change your life.
Yeah.
And so finally I gave her like Ithink I gave her like a 28 day
(08:05):
card or something.
And she came in and she waslike, oh my gosh, now I know
what we're talking about.
Speaker 1 (08:10):
Yeah, this is fun,
that's awesome.
And you know, I really do feellike when I opened Fit Body I
didn't know what I was doing.
I didn't know the struggle thatbusiness ownership can have, I
didn't know the struggle thatthe gym industry could have.
I remember I actually hadsomeone that I knew who at the
(08:31):
time was very big into likeferals, yeah, and unfortunately
ferals is not around.
And I say unfortunately becausea lot of times people are like
well, aren't gyms yourcompetition?
Right?
And we know we're not competingwith gyms, we're competing with
basically everything that'sholding people back from
becoming their best self.
And the cool thing is, like yousaid, your mom tried a
(08:55):
different gym and good honor, try where you need to go.
But when I met this guy atFarrell's he goes.
So what makes you think thatyou can succeed with a gym in
Sioux Falls?
And I think my Were- you likewhoa?
Yeah, it got taken back a littlebit because I was like that's a
pretty blunt question, but Ifeel that my ignorance was
(09:22):
almost my superpower.
I didn't know what I wasgetting into.
You're like we're just doing it.
Yeah, we're just gonna do itright, and I knew that what
would help us was just mypassion for people and helping
others.
And so, yeah, meeting you nowthat you're helping jog my
memory, meeting you at the BNIgroup and then having you come
(09:44):
in and then like it was just asmall family and that's one
thing that I know.
When we moved to the biggercentral location, we struggled
keeping that family feel for alittle while, just as we grew,
because we ended up hitting agrowth spurt which was awesome.
Awesome, which actually was whatspurred the ability for us to
(10:05):
open West, which is now whereyou are a full-time coach,
full-time client coordinatorover at West and I'm not at West
a ton which will be changing.
I'll be there quite a bitactually.
Speaker 2 (10:19):
I'm excited for that.
Speaker 1 (10:20):
Yeah, it'll be a lot
of fun.
We had our first Westside onlyteam meeting just not too long
ago and it was fun just to heywe're this little team.
It brought me back to like theOG days.
Speaker 2 (10:34):
Yeah, when we had
like five coaches.
Speaker 1 (10:36):
Yeah, that was
everybody.
That was everybody on the team.
Yes, but the vibe that I getfrom the Westside and not that I
don't get it from Central, butis very similar to what I
remembered when we were growingthe original gym.
Speaker 2 (10:49):
Yeah, it definitely
definitely feels like that, Like
it's very tight knit.
Everybody kind of knowseverybody, and if you don't know
anybody you're not afraid tolike oh, she goes to this
session, or she goes to that one.
Speaker 1 (11:01):
And the next thing
you know, they're introducing
each other and going to what Ifound out, which I didn't know
Station 7.
Is that a yes, and what isStation 7?
Speaker 2 (11:10):
Station 7 is
shenanigans for wherever they
decide to go Wherever theydecide to go.
But they get together and doother workouts, like the bungee
fitness.
They chat that out or they gofor coffee yeah, they just that
out.
Or they go for coffee or theyjust are really supportive of
each other.
Yeah, I love.
Speaker 1 (11:31):
That's so cool.
It is so cool to see that youknow.
What I'd like to do, beth, iskind of rewind the clock 2018,
rewind the clock even further.
I want to rewind the clock allthe way to the point of, like,
where were you at with yourhealth, your fitness, your
confidence, confidence, yourdesire to, to start this journey
?
Yeah, and also to even furtherback, like what led you to the
point losing a hundred pounds.
(11:51):
It imagining you a hundredpounds heavier.
Speaker 2 (11:59):
I can't, even, I
don't even know that person.
Speaker 1 (12:01):
They're gone, they.
But what got us to the heightof where you were of wanting to
change?
And then what clicked when youwere like you know what, I'm
going to do it and I can do it.
Speaker 2 (12:19):
So I graduated beauty
school at an all-time high for
where my weight was, and I justnoticed that other hairstylists
around me were small and cuteand they seemed very confident.
And to be a hairstylist, honestly, you have to have
confidence.
Yeah.
And I didn't have any.
What I had was very fake.
(12:40):
Sure.
And I didn't want to fake itanymore.
I didn't want.
I was sick and tired of justbeing fake, confident, fake
happy, fake everything.
And so I wanted to just addsome authenticity to my life and
just be better and be moreconfident in who I was and what
I stood for.
Done with beauty school, I hadgone, I got in a great life
(13:06):
membership and I had gone and Iwould get there.
And the same story you hear abunch from a bunch of people
that go to those big box gyms isyou go, you try hard to give up
because you don't know what todo.
You go and you go on thetreadmill and then you're so
exhausted from doing cardio thatyou're like I don't even know.
Or you're intimidated by weighttraining and you don't know
anything about it.
So you're like, okay, I just I'mgoing to do my 15 minutes and
(13:30):
then I'm going to go yeah, andyou count that as a workout, but
really it's not doing anythingfor you, especially if you're
not having the proper nutrition.
So um, so yeah, after I hadgraduated I had started kind of
doing that and then finally Iwas like I had a big girl job.
Yeah.
So I was like you know what?
I am going to hire a personaltrainer.
So I hired her.
Speaker 1 (13:45):
That's an investment
in yourself.
Speaker 2 (13:47):
Yes, and my parents
were like wow, we are so proud
of you.
And that was kind of the firsttime that I felt that sense of
pride for myself and I neverreally realized how important
being proud of who you are is,so important in your life, like
being proud of the things thatyou've accomplished and that
you're working towards is justamazing.
So yeah, so I met Brianna isher name and she really like
(14:13):
honestly, I give her a lot ofcredit to changing the
trajectory of where I was headed.
I had no idea at that time.
So anyway, I had bought a coupleof sessions and she would give
me a nutrition guide.
And then we would.
She would give me a couple ofworkouts.
So anyway, I had bought acouple of sessions and she would
give me a nutrition guide.
Yep.
And then she would give me acouple of workouts.
She'd work with me twice a weekand then the rest of the week
was on me.
Yep.
So I had to have thataccountability with nutrition
(14:34):
because she was watching.
Yeah.
She was looking at it.
Yeah.
And then I also had to have theaccountability of like okay,
well, if you're not getting yourworkouts in, you're not going
to see the results.
Yeah.
So I worked with her for I wantto say it was like 10 months,
maybe a year, something likethat, and actually I had set a
goal.
I was like you know what?
I'm going to lose 20 poundsbecause I'm going to be in my
(14:54):
friend's wedding and I want tonot feel confident in all those
pictures, because I've been inweddings before where I was like
oh, I don't like the way that Ilook at these pictures, yeah.
So I decided that I was like youknow what?
This is my goal of 20 pounds ina year.
I think that's doable, yeah.
So I worked with her and shedefinitely helped me get there.
(15:15):
Yep.
So that kickstarted everythingfor me, and then that ultimately
just kind of pushed me like, okay, I did this, what else can
I do?
How far can I go?
Because I had a significantamount of weight to lose.
So I was just kind of like, okay, let's see how far we can
go.
And then when I met you, it waskind of just like this puzzle
(15:37):
piece that was missing and itjust clicked for me.
So I didn't really realize upuntil actually about two years
ago maybe two and a half yearsago how important nutrition
actually is.
Yeah, because I got into reallybad habits working in the salon
, not eating all day long andthen just eating everything at
(15:58):
night and thinking like, oh, Ihad enough calories, it's fine.
Yeah.
But really it just you have tospread it out throughout the day
.
Balance, Balance is superimportant?
Speaker 1 (16:07):
Yeah, absolutely,
that's interesting that you say
that.
So, as you know, I was just atFit Body World Conference and we
had the privilege of having DrGabrielle Lyon there whose
knowledge on nutrition and thefemale bodies in general but
it's very amazing what she allknows and she was going on and
(16:31):
explaining to us about howthere's been studies and stuff
that have been shown that yourbody really can't.
It's not bad for your body, butyour body can't really do
anything with more than like 55grams of protein per meal.
And so, with you just sayingthat, one meal at a time, why
hit my calories?
And there is this thing I thinkit's called OMAD, one meal a
(16:55):
day, omad which in theory, youthink about it like calories
Sure, it can work, everythingcan work for certain people.
Calories Sure, it can work, everything can work for certain
people.
But when you do that and you hitone meal with that many
calories, like you were doingjust all at night, your body was
not absorbing all of thatprotein that you're taking in or
(17:16):
all of the nutrition thatyou're taking in.
And protein is such a fuel forthe body right, it will.
Such a muscle fuel, it keepsyour muscles full.
And then the carbs and fatskeep you going, and so when you
don't have that, it's all of asudden like you're running on
Fumes Really Fumes and then youyeah.
And then how many times too, when you did that, would you end
(17:36):
up grabbing something else thatwasn't nutritious?
Speaker 2 (17:40):
Every single time
Always.
Speaker 1 (17:41):
Yeah, because you're
like well, I didn't eat all day.
Yeah, so I can have.
Speaker 2 (17:44):
So I can allow myself
to have this or that.
Yeah, yeah.
Speaker 1 (17:47):
And that leads to
some like really hard mindset
and food relations.
Oh my gosh, that you then haveto like overcome.
Speaker 2 (17:55):
Yes, you have to
unlearn it.
Speaker 1 (17:57):
Yeah, basically.
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (17:58):
Because all of these
sudden, I'm not really working
it.
Speaker 1 (18:00):
Yeah, yeah, so you
you really dove into nutrition
about two ish years ago, overtwo years ago.
Speaker 2 (18:12):
What would you say
was kind of the spur of that, Um
realizing how much more energyI had.
Yeah, yeah.
When I balanced out my macrosand I had okay, I'm going to
allow myself this amount ofprotein for breakfast, this for
lunch and this for dinner, witha few snacks in between that are
just kind of like carbohydrates, to kind of keep you going.
I realized, wow, I can liftheavier weights, I can use my
(18:35):
full potential at the gym and Ican just like maximize my weight
loss.
Speaker 1 (18:40):
One thing you talked
about is lift heavier weights.
Weight loss One thing youtalked about is lift heavier
weights.
How much of a role did liftingheavier weights play in your
weight loss?
A big part, Because I feel likeso many women especially, they
think and they correlate andbecause the world has done a
really good job of this.
The world says, or what theyportray, is that if you lift
(19:01):
heavy weights, you're going toget big, bulky muscles.
Speaker 2 (19:04):
And that's I mean.
I want to be strong, but Idon't feel like I'm bulky.
Speaker 1 (19:08):
Listen, I want big
and bulky muscles and I probably
don't lift enough weight as Ishould, but I'll even try to get
them lifting heavy weights andI don't get them, so I'm trying.
So I feel that that issomething that is so powerful
because and that's another thingthat we learned from Dr
Gabrielle Also, which I mean weknow this, but it's just nice to
(19:30):
rehear it is that when you havemore muscle, your body will
utilize the food better.
Yes, because your body, whenit's more muscular, your
metabolism goes up and itutilizes food better and it's
like you're running on a higherefficiency.
Speaker 2 (19:45):
Yes, yeah, that's so
cool to think about Right.
Speaker 1 (19:48):
So you decided I'm
going to lift heavier Yep, and
so you lifted heavier, and evenduring bootcamp.
Speaker 2 (19:53):
Yes.
Speaker 1 (19:53):
Right.
So let's kind of dive into that, because was there other
workouts that you were doingalso?
Speaker 2 (19:59):
I did.
I don't do this so much anymore, but for a while there I was
going and just doing likebarbell squatting, barbell
lifting, just great life as welland where you can get like
maxed out thing, and so I wasdoing that for a while.
But the joints were not helpingme.
So that was really reallyhelpful, because doing bootcamp
(20:21):
you get your cardio and yourweight training and then getting
that little bit of extra weighttraining is super helpful, yeah
.
Speaker 1 (20:27):
So when you stopped
kind of doing that extra, then
you decided, hey, I'm going tojust make sure that I maximize
my bootcamp sessions, I'm goingto lift as heavy as I can in
bootcamp and I'll tell you, andI'll be the first to tell you,
bootcamp is high energy, it'shigh fun and a lot of times it's
very high rep, but it doesn'thave to be.
(20:48):
And if you can just tellyourself, hey, grab a heavier
weight, go a little slower andreally utilize that 30 second or
42 second or 45 and a halfsecond, whatever weird interval
we're running, utilize that toget as many reps with the max
amount of weight as possible,it's going to make a big
(21:11):
difference.
And so I know that at timesduring the sessions you'll even
tell people like, hey, we're notgrabbing the light weights for
this one, but still peoplegravitate towards it.
What would be your advice toanyone that might think like I
don't want to lift heavy becauseI don't want to get bulk?
Speaker 2 (21:29):
My advice would be to
you're not going to get bulky,
I guess.
I guess my advice would just beto like if you want to maximize
the results that you get fromthis workout, it's so important
to level yourself up.
Yeah.
And I try my best to kind ofpush people and give them, hand
them, heavier weights, because Iknow that they're capable.
Yeah.
But I just kind of tell them, like, look at me, like I, I'm
(21:52):
not bulky, but I like to liftthis amount of weight for this
exercise, yeah, and this is howyou tone really, and so I just
feel like it's going to I don'tknow.
My advice would be to maximizeyour results by helping you have
your weights.
Speaker 1 (22:06):
Yeah, and the crazy
thing is is your body is capable
of so much more than yourealize.
Speaker 2 (22:13):
You got to get that
mindset right.
Speaker 1 (22:15):
You know, and I've
kind of feel like this too, life
is going to throw you heavy, hard situations that weigh on
you, situations that weigh onyou.
If you can throw heavy and hardat yourself, you're going to be
able to overcome what lifethrows at you that much better.
And so, if you can, by choice, pick the heavier weight, by
(22:39):
choice, go do the hard thingwhen the heavier the hard thing
shows up in your life.
Speaker 2 (22:42):
you got that Piece of
cake miss.
Speaker 1 (22:43):
You got that because
you've already been doing it on
your own choice, yes, so thenyou just overcome that obstacle.
That is so cool.
So now you're here.
Yes, you hit your hundred pounddown mark.
Yep, ended up pregnant.
Speaker 2 (22:57):
Yes, and here we are,
and maybe that had a factor in
it.
I don't know, but God had aplan either way.
Speaker 1 (23:03):
Yeah, absolutely
Because you wanted that baby.
Yeah, you wanted a family, andso obviously, the healthier that
mama can be, the more apt orprone you could be to getting
pregnant and having thatopportunity.
Definitely.
And so here you are right nowas we shoot this obviously not
(23:23):
when we air it, but as we shootit.
How far along are you in yourpregnancy?
Speaker 2 (23:28):
About six months.
Speaker 1 (23:29):
Six months You're
getting, there, you are getting
there Like three left.
Yeah, yeah, which is so crazyto think about.
And so how?
I mean?
I know you haven't had a childbefore, this is your first one,
but how has pregnancy gone whilebeing a coach who's high energy
on the floor early mornings, you know, later afternoon
(23:50):
evenings, how has that gone, working the schedule that you
work while being pregnant?
And then, too, you had, upuntil just recently, a whole
second job.
How do you do it?
How did you do?
Speaker 2 (24:04):
it.
I prioritize sleep a lot, andthat's actually something that's
super important when it comesto weight loss and it comes to
reaching the goals that you haveis prioritizing the things that
are important, like nutrition, water intake, your exercise and
your sleep.
Those are four biggest thingsthat I would suggest to like put
on the front line when it comesto reaching your goals, to
(24:33):
reaching your goals.
So I prioritize my sleep and Ireally, really take the time for
myself.
When I had it, I did get alittle bit overexhausted, which
is why now I only have one job.
Speaker 1 (24:39):
I'm so thankful, beth
, that you chose this one, and
you're one only.
Speaker 2 (24:43):
I love this job.
I could never.
It's probably the best.
Actually, when I first startedat bootcamp, I said you guys
were super inspiring.
One of the things, one of thegoals that I had was, like I
want to do that, I want to belike those people.
Something was pulling metowards it and I never thought
it would be possible for me.
Speaker 1 (25:01):
That's so cool, so
proud of you.
Speaker 2 (25:03):
Yeah, so the fact
that and I started in October
last year just part-time I cameup to, I think, your mom and
Vicki and I was like what do youthink?
Do you think I could do it?
And they were like seriously, you want?
To.
Speaker 1 (25:20):
And then I had talked
to you a little bit up at the
end.
Now here we are.
Yeah, explain that process tome, because that's happened.
Now we a handful of coachesthat first started as client and
then turned into coach.
Explain kind of the feelinglike you hear.
Like right now, for example, weare letting our clients know,
(25:41):
or letting the world know, thatwe're hiring yeah, so you heard
that we were hiring.
Yep, what goes on in your brain?
So bring us back all the way, like October of last year you
got brought on part-time butright before that you had been
hearing hey, we were looking forcoaches.
Um, what, what goes on in yourhead?
Speaker 2 (25:59):
Well, that back then
is when I had thought I mean,
there's always ways to improve, but that's kind of when I
thought that I was like maximum,I was in super good shape, I
was dialed in with my nutrition,I was doing great.
Yeah.
And I just kind of I talked tomy mom about it and she was like
my biggest my biggest supporter.
Speaker 1 (26:17):
Yeah, hey, shout out
to all the supportive moms out
there.
Speaker 2 (26:20):
Yeah, shout out.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Love it Love it, but she waslike oh my gosh, your
personality and just the thingsthat you have been through, your
experiences and your goals thatyou've set for yourself.
Speaker 1 (26:31):
Yeah, and achieved.
Speaker 2 (26:32):
Yes, and really just
made it happen.
Yeah, she's like you wouldinspire so many people as a
coach.
She said do it.
Yeah.
And I was like so what ranthrough my head initially was a
little bit of self-doubt, yeah.
But then I had to kind of dialit back and say, okay, here's
the thing you did so many things, you accomplished so many goals
.
Why can't you do this?
(26:54):
Why do you have to doubtyourself?
And really, the validation waswhen I did become a coach and
all of those people that Iworked out with for years said
to me you're the perfect matchfor this.
So that really solidifiedeverything for me let's go.
Yeah, and it was like okay.
Speaker 1 (27:11):
So cool, and so you
ended up talking with my mom,
vicki, yep, put in a resume oran application, yep, and then
did you probably at that time mymom you worked with more
throughout the applicationprocess, yes, but then you have
to go through a mock session.
Speaker 2 (27:29):
Yes.
Speaker 1 (27:31):
How was well?
First of all, let's do this foranyone that doesn't know Um,
cause they probably don't evenknow that we put the coaches
through a mock session.
Speaker 2 (27:36):
I don't think so.
I had no idea yeah.
Speaker 1 (27:38):
Explain to anybody
watching or listening Like what
is a mock session.
Speaker 2 (27:42):
A mock session is
basically when you go in front
of three of us, Um, and you haveto coach a bootcamp class and
you have to project your voice, you have to bring the energy and
you have to.
There's so many things that youhave to pay attention to, like
the timer, the energy, sayingpeople's names and then also
(28:02):
being able to explain theworkouts verbally and then
showing them physically as well.
Speaker 1 (28:07):
Yeah.
So it was a little mini mocksession that you get to
basically perform.
And the cool thing, and like Itell our team when we're
bringing candidates in to gothrough the mock session listen,
we're not looking forperfection, we're not looking
for even how good are they atbeing a coach.
What we're really looking foris their willingness to show up,
(28:28):
their willingness to bevulnerable.
Yeah, their willingness to bevulnerable, yeah, because it's a
very vulnerable place, veryvulnerable and their willingness
to take feedback, because wekind of go through two rounds.
Right, they go through like oneround where, hey, you go through
and it's like five minutes, five minutes of a couple
stations, and then we stop theclock and we sit back and then
one of the coaches and mainlyVicki then gives you some
(28:49):
feedback and she's sitting andwriting, yep, she's writing her
notebook.
And you're like, okay, what isshe doing?
Yeah, the whole time, yeah, andthen she's all right hey, beth,
this was awesome, good job here.
We're going to do it again andI want to see this.
And she gives you a couple ofthings that she wants you to
work on.
And really what the team islooking for is, hey, did they
take that feedback and did theydo their best to implement it.
(29:11):
Because I tell you what, growing FitBody like we have and
growing our team like we havewe have to be able to give each
other feedback, receive thatfeedback and then implement that
feedback.
But I tell you what, learninghow to do that with you guys and
the team and just everyone thatwe work with it's helping me
learn how to potentially do itbetter in life, not just at work
(29:35):
.
Speaker 2 (29:35):
Well, I don't take
criticism very well, at least I
didn't before I started.
Yeah, because I was way harderon myself than anybody else was.
Yeah.
And knowing that it's a safeplace for me to be able to be
vulnerable and be able to sayokay.
There are things that I do needto work on and that's okay,
because it doesn't come from aplace of negativity.
It comes from a place of I careabout you and I want you to be
(29:57):
the best version of you.
So let's work on doing that, and that was really cool.
Speaker 1 (30:03):
The one thing that
I've really heard is that when
someone gives you feedback, whatever it is, it's because
they believe that you're able todo better.
Yes, they believe that you'reable to do better.
And when I heard that I waslike man, I actually like want
feedback, then yeah, Becausewhen someone gives me feedback,
(30:23):
they see me in a different light, that I can't see me Right and
they're like I actually thinkyou could be doing this and
you're only doing this and it'slike wow.
Speaker 2 (30:36):
Okay, unleash that
full potential.
Speaker 1 (30:37):
Yeah, absolutely.
You know it took you from 20pounds down to I think when you
joined the team.
It was like between 65 to 80pounds down and then to go a 20
more pounds down and I feel likethat little tick is like
continually going in you andI've seen that your drive at the
West side.
You're like, hey, what more canI take on from part-time to
(31:00):
full-time to?
Okay, hey, could I be theclient coordinator to taking
that on to.
Hey, could I start doingstrategy sessions and
potentially selling FitBodymemberships?
Take it on, could I?
Hey, could I do nutritioncoaching and just always being
willing to learn the next thingright.
Speaker 2 (31:18):
Yeah, I think that if
you're not learning, you're
staying stagnant, and I thinklearning is just a super
important part of growth in life.
Speaker 1 (31:24):
Absolutely, and
you're either going to ask for
opportunities to get better orlife will throw them at you.
Speaker 2 (31:32):
Yep, they'll just get
going yeah.
Speaker 1 (31:34):
They'll just be
thrown at you, and more times
than not, then if you're notready for them to be thrown at
you, you don't know how tohandle them.
Right.
And that's what causes risks inyour life, because life doesn't
stop.
Speaker 2 (31:44):
No.
Speaker 1 (31:45):
Yeah.
So another kind of interestingthing that I found out about you
which I didn't know and I don'tknow.
Maybe I think you told me,maybe Jake told me, I don't know
.
We've been at a couple ofdifferent events together lately
baby showers, lots of thingsgoing on, whether it's baby
shower for you or for Katie orwhatever it was, I don't know.
But found out this cool thingbetween you and Jake, how you
(32:06):
decided you wanted to save upfor a house, yep, and kind of
the action steps that you tookto do that.
When I learned about that I waslike man, that's like some
people like, okay, I need to dothis, I need to do this.
You're like I'm just going todo this.
Speaker 2 (32:20):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (32:20):
And so explain that,
which has nothing to do with
health or fitness, but it justhas.
It's a very cool story on howyou've seen what could be
possible and you and Jake justfigured out how to make it
happen.
Whether it was going to beenjoyable or not, you just ran
for it.
Speaker 2 (32:34):
Yeah, he's amazing.
He is one of the best humanbeings I know.
I love him.
He's very driven as well, andso when we set goals, when he
wants something I kind oflearned this from him is like
when he wants something, he'snot going to let anything get in
the way of making it happen.
Speaker 1 (32:49):
Let's go.
Speaker 2 (32:55):
So we decided that we
wanted to buy a house.
We were tired of moving everyyear from rental to rental, so
we bought a camper, which seemskind of weird.
You're like you bought a camperinstead of a house.
No, we actually bought a camperso that we could live in it
inexpensively, save money andthen live in that, for I think
we lived in it for like eightmonths.
It's crazy.
Yeah, saved as much money as wecould to be able to look for a
(33:18):
house and I fortunately, I knowsomebody who is like a brother
to me that was our mortgagelender and he was like wow, like
this is amazing.
So helped us find a realtor andthen we saved enough money for
like the, the like buyer's feesor whatever it is, yep.
And we were able to get ourhouse in 2022.
Speaker 1 (33:38):
That is so cool.
And when did you get the camper?
So it was like 2021?
Yes, 2021.
So right after COVID Yep, andyou're like we're going to.
So where did you put the camper?
Speaker 2 (33:48):
We parked it at the
Canton exit, which is why I
actually took a pause from FitBody for a while, because I was
living in Canton.
Yeah.
And it was just really hard forme to get here.
Yeah.
Plus, at that time my hairbusiness was growing so much.
Yeah.
I was just busy all the time, yeah, so it wasn't the
healthiest lifestyle, but it wasdefinitely healthy for our
(34:09):
budget.
Yeah.
So it was right off the Cantonexit, at this RV mobile home
park.
We got to know a lot ofdrifters, which was kind of cool
, and then a lot of the peoplethat worked at the gas station
that was right there lived inthe park as well oh cool, and we
got to know them.
There was this big red red busthat had like 10 people living
(34:30):
in it.
Speaker 1 (34:30):
Really yes, huh, that
is so cool.
And so a drifter that's someonethat lives in a camper and they
just Go from place to place.
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (34:38):
And they're like
we're headed over to Minnesota,
now we're going to go to Alabamaand just got to kind of know.
And one thing I don't know ifyou know this about me, but I
love people.
Yeah, yeah Right.
Yeah, I love connections, soanytime that I can kind of have
a connection with anybody I'lltake that opportunity.
Speaker 1 (34:55):
Yeah, and I think
that that's actually been a
really fun part of this kind ofmeet, the coach series is
there's been these like tinylittle nuggets that get brought
up in conversation and the nextthing you know when you're out
coaching with the client, it'slike hey, I actually lived in an
RV, too, or in a camper for Xamount of time and like when
does that come up?
(35:16):
You never Like, hey, good job,do you want to push up?
Hey, do you know I live in acamper, right, did you Like?
No, okay, have a good workout.
Speaker 2 (35:24):
So cool you don't
talk to us.
I did actually have aconversation with one of our
trial clients, actually Wendy.
Sure, wendy is yeah, herdaughter was in for a while and
her and her husband are actuallygoing to be traveling and
living in their little like busRV thing that they think, oh
cool, it's awesome.
So that was really cool.
I was like, oh, I lived in mycamper too, so it did come up
once.
Speaker 1 (35:43):
Hey, that is kind of
cool.
Speaking of which, let's talk alittle bit about your role as
client coordinator.
So you are the clientcoordinator at our West location
.
Speaker 2 (35:56):
What is the client
coordinator?
Well, I am the main point ofcontact between the trial
clients, which are the clientsthat you see that are there on
like a 28 days, or most of thetime it's 28 days.
Sometimes it's a little bitlonger, Um, but basically I kind
of introduced myself to thesepeople and get them in here and
try to make their experiences asamazing as possible.
Speaker 1 (36:16):
Yeah, and so part of
that process, um, when we have
new trials, come in, um, we do,like the first workout, reach
out, yep, um, and so you get toget ahold of them, um, right
after their first workout, within the next day or so, and
get to talk with them.
I love it, the thing that Ilove so much about.
You know, you do it at our West, jill does it at our central
(36:38):
location, you know, and Jill'sgone through her own
transformation and fitnessjourney as well.
Yeah, but you both, becauseJill too, before she started
working here, went through atrial program, and so you're
able to speak to them and reallyunderstand what might they be
going through, what they mightbe thinking, and so you're able
(37:01):
to speak to that and be able toconnect with them and encourage
them on someone beginning theirjourney, just like you were way
back in 2018, 19.
Speaker 2 (37:12):
Yeah, wild, it's cool
because these people are a lot
of times nervous, so nervousthey have no idea what to expect
and I kind of want to just like.
I wish I could like see themthrough the phone.
Yeah, I wish I could FaceTimeevery single one of them and
just be like look, okay, this isthe most amazing opportunity
that you're going to ever havein your life in this place.
(37:33):
I promise, if you let it, itwill change your life.
So, yeah, I just kind of want toshake people and be like you
need to be excited because thisis amazing.
Speaker 1 (37:40):
Yeah, but it's such a
nerve wracking step.
It definitely is.
Yeah, you know, one of thethings that we talk about is how
one of the heaviest weightsthat you're ever going to lift
is the weight of that front door.
You're right, the first timeyou open that door.
That's a heavy door to open, because the truth is is you have
no idea what's going to happenon the other side of that door,
(38:01):
and so being able to take timeto do this and just chat, it's
like if somebody's out therethat is watching or listening
and they hear this that maybehas never tried FitBody.
If somebody's out there that iswatching or listening and they
hear this that maybe has nevertried FitBody, they are like,
wow, okay, I know that when I goto the West location I might
get to meet Coach Beth.
Yeah, probably will 100%, andI'll get to know that this
(38:23):
person was also on a journey oftheir own.
Speaker 2 (38:26):
Yes.
Speaker 1 (38:27):
And just help connect
, because there are enough
obstacles that are out therethat hold us back from reaching
our health and fitness goals, and so at FitBody, we want to do
our best to remove as many ofthose obstacles.
That's right.
30-minute workouts yeah, easy,quick.
So when you were going through, obviously, your weight loss
(38:49):
journey, but then, even morerecently, being a coach at Fit
Body, be part-time intofull-time being a hairstylist,
getting married, now having ababy, like in getting your
workouts in how did you findtime to get your workouts in?
Speaker 2 (39:05):
Well, thankfully the
opportunity at West and at Fit
Body 2 as a coach does come up,where you get to work out with
the clients as well.
Yeah.
So oftentimes I would try tofit it in where I could.
If the other coach was okaywith it, I could work out with
some of like the 815 or 915.
Yeah.
Otherwise you guys are supersupportive of that.
(39:26):
So you're like, okay, if youdon't have time and you have
time in your workday, get that30 minutes in before you leave.
Or I would just say to myselfokay, I don't have time today,
but I do have time in betweengoing to my two jobs.
So before I leave the gym, I'mgoing to take 30 minutes and I'm
going to do just a modifiedversion of especially being
(39:48):
pregnant of the workout, andthen I can get my workout in, go
home, fuel up and then go back.
Speaker 1 (39:54):
Yeah, and that's the
biggest thing too, because I
feel like one thing is a lot ofpeople think it's all or nothing
, and I don't think that it isall or nothing.
I think it is understanding fitin where you can fit it in and
whatever it is that you do today, that is more than you would do
if you just didn't do it.
Right, right, yes, so I lovethat.
(40:17):
Let's talk about.
You know, you said earlier thatyou were tired of faking it.
You were tired of faking yourconfidence, faking your energy.
How much of a mind shift didyou have to do, and what did you
really do, mind-wise,mindset-wise, to help you make
(40:38):
that shift?
Speaker 2 (40:40):
Positive self-talk is
very important.
Yeah, so that is a big, hugepart of it where I really I had
to change up the way that Italked to myself.
Sure, because if you'reconstantly sitting there saying
I can't do it, I won't be ableto, I'm never going to reach my
goals, this is never going tohappen for me, then chances are
it probably won't.
Yeah.
So when you switch in thatmindset and really fit body,
(41:03):
coaches help you do that.
Yeah.
I try to be the biggest advocatefor that, because that's what
you guys did for me.
So, basically, you just kind ofhave to tell yourself okay, I'm
going to kick those negativethoughts to the curb because
those are liars.
Those are just lies that youtell yourself because you're
afraid.
And when you hear the sayinglike fear is a liar, fear is a
(41:27):
liar a hundred percent.
So don't let your fear and yourinsecurities get in the way of
accomplishing the things thatyou know, deep, deep down, that
you are actually capable of.
Yeah so yeah, just switchingthat mindset from like not
believing in yourself to okay, Ireached this goal.
Speaker 1 (41:44):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (41:45):
What else can I do?
Speaker 1 (41:46):
What else can?
Speaker 2 (41:46):
I do.
That helped a lot.
Speaker 1 (41:48):
So a negative thought
pops up, and it does because
that's normal, it's human, yeahRight.
The crazy thing is is that youmight have a thought pop up, but
you don't have to think aboutevery thought that pops up.
And so sometimes I think I didan episode on this a while back
but think about this a thoughtpops up is the same exact thing.
(42:13):
If you drive by a fast foodrestaurant or something you
don't have to pull in, you canmaybe really like McDonald's,
burger King, taco Bell, tacoJohn's, all these places you can
maybe like that.
But we know that if wecontinually stop there and eat
those things, that's not goingto help us on our health and
fitness journey.
So just because you drove by itdoesn't mean you have to pull
(42:36):
in.
Just because a thought pops updoesn't mean you have to think
about it, doesn't mean you haveto then believe that thing.
And so did you do anything withthose negative thoughts?
Did you ever do the thing whereyou'll recognize that there's a
thought and tell it to go away?
I'm going to actually thinkabout this.
Did you do any thoughtreplacement type stuff?
Speaker 2 (42:57):
Sort of I would think
those things and then I would
call somebody.
I'd be like okay, I'm lettingmy intrusive thoughts kind of
get the best of me right now.
I need somebody to kind of talkme out of it.
Most of the time, that personwas either my husband or my mom.
Speaker 3 (43:10):
Yeah, most of the
time, that person was either my
husband or my mom.
Yeah, yeah, but I love that.
Speaker 2 (43:12):
Yeah, so just kind of
having someone that you know
sees you in a different light, like you said, can push you
towards those other positivethoughts, is really, really
helpful.
Yeah.
Another thing that I really thatI did in like the beginning
stages was actually Coach Vickitold me to do this is when I
posted a picture of just like myface from before and after.
(43:32):
Um, I had all these peoplecommenting like, oh my gosh, I'm
so proud of you, you're such aninspiration.
Um, like, how did you do it?
Like just all of those positiveaffirmations.
She said print that picture offand print all those comments
off and put it on your um sothen um.
Yeah, so I did that and then Iwrote some like positive
affirmations, like keep going, you can be strong and still look
(43:56):
beautiful, like just thingslike that.
Yeah, just handwritten notes toyourself and then you put them
on your mirror so that when youlook in the mirror you can
replace those thoughts.
Yeah.
The positive ones that arewritten.
Speaker 1 (44:11):
That's so cool.
Yeah, I know that.
Obviously you know this and ourclients know this, but me,
those that don't come to FitBody don't know.
We send out cards often and weuse this company called Send Out
Cards, where we can put theirpicture or put a picture or
something on it and then sendthe card.
And at one point in time I sentmyself a card that just had
positive affirmations on it andI think that card is actually
(44:33):
hanging in our Central's loungeand it's like I am strong, I am
confident, I am, and there's awhole bunch of different things
that were on it.
But for the longest time, Imailed myself that card and it
showed up in the mail and Iopened it.
I hung it up and it is.
There's something about havingthat.
And I interviewed a while back,uh, a guy named Nick Colterman.
(44:55):
Yeah, and, uh, he talks aboutevery day.
He will write a positive thoughton a sticky note, yeah, and he
just put it on his mirror, yeah, and um, he's gotten to the
point where he's got certainmirrors that you can't even see
the mirror anymore.
Yeah, it's just sticky notes, yeah, but those the crazy thing
is is like, when you think aboutthis when you look in a mirror,
(45:16):
you see a reflection lookingback at you, and a lot of times
the reflection that you seelooking back at you can be this
burnt in image of someone that, because you can a lot of times,
when you even go through alittle bit of a change,
obviously you see a differentreflection, but the old self is
so burnt into your mind that youcan see somebody different
(45:40):
looking back at you, like adifferent figure, but all you
see is your old self and youdon't see the change.
And so, as I think about that ashe was talking about having a
mirror completely filled up andall he could see is positive
affirmations and positivethoughts, it's like holy smokes,
like that's way more powerfulthan looking at an actual mirror
, because so many times we lived, however many years, like our
(46:05):
past self, yeah, and now, like,if you look at it now, you said
that right before you gotpregnant, and you've been
pregnant now for about sixmonths, so only for about six
months had you hit that hundred, but for years you've been
working towards that goal, yeah, and so you've got all these
(46:34):
years of this different imagebuilt into you, and so we have
to learn to help ourselves seethe actual image, looking back
at it.
Speaker 2 (46:47):
Yes, the new version
of you, yeah.
Speaker 1 (46:49):
One of my favorite
things is seeing a client walk
in on day one.
Speaker 2 (46:53):
Yep.
Speaker 1 (46:53):
They're nervous.
They're maybe not smiley bubbly.
They don't know if they reallyare fitting in.
I don't love seeing that part.
Speaker 2 (47:02):
No, no, don't say
that, but it's real, it happens.
Speaker 1 (47:04):
But you see that I
love seeing that part though and
that part though, and why Ilove seeing that part is because
I love in a month, two monthsdown the road seeing that person
walking in, smiling,high-fiving, fist bumping, you
know, and it's like what?
What's going on here?
Yeah, and it's just this wholenew fountain of self-confidence.
Speaker 2 (47:24):
Yes, and.
Speaker 1 (47:25):
I see that in you.
Speaker 2 (47:26):
Yeah, Thank you.
Yeah, Part of that, I think too.
With the clients is like justseeing this whole new version of
themselves because other people, the community that we have at
GoodBody is so powerful and themore community that is built,
the people get to know eachother, they lift each other up
and that's my favorite things.
Speaker 1 (47:47):
And that is so cool,
because as we all get better,
like and I'll tell you what Iget better when our team gets
better, when our clients getbetter I personally feel better
when we all get better togetherand that's just it.
You don't know the impact thatother people are having on you,
(48:08):
and so if you're surrounded onlyby people that aren't trying to
be better and unfortunately thetruth is is that most people
kind of get stuck and they don'treally worry about like
bettering themselves, and so youcan end up getting stuck around
groups of people that are justhaving this influence on you of
(48:30):
just remaining, remaining thesame.
And when you continuallysurround yourself by people that
are continually trying to bebetter, next thing you know
you're just trying to continueto be better.
But then what's cool is thatyour continued efforts of being
better now start reflecting ontoothers, and it's like this
ripple effect where everybodyjust starts getting better.
Speaker 2 (48:49):
Yeah, it's like this
fountain that just kind of
overflows.
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (48:53):
Yeah, I love that, I
love that.
Speaker 2 (48:55):
I definitely have
noticed that in myself too, like
since I started coaching.
Like not that I've ever beenshy, cause I don't know how to
do that, but yeah, um, butdefinitely just like, uh,
bringing in new clients and, um,the personality just kind of
comes out even more.
Speaker 1 (49:11):
Yeah, so Absolutely.
I definitely feel that.
So, kind of changing tunes herejust a little bit.
You are pregnant, yes, you planon having this baby here,
hopefully this year, yeah, bythe end of the year.
Do you know if you're having aboy or a girl, yet we do not
know, you're not finding out.
No, I love that.
Do you know if you're having aboy or a girl, yet we do not
know?
(49:31):
You're not finding out?
Nope, I love that.
Speaker 2 (49:32):
Super surprised, I
love that, so do you have a room
yet for the baby.
Yes, mom, and I actually got itpainted and ready to go like
two weeks ago.
Speaker 1 (49:38):
I love that, I love
that.
And so have you decorated theroom yet?
Yes, okay.
Speaker 2 (49:45):
Just a little bit.
I'm lots of things so I don'twant this abundance of cow stuff
, but it is cow themed.
Speaker 1 (49:51):
Why is it cow themed,
Beth?
Because I love cows.
Is that your favorite animal?
Speaker 2 (49:55):
Yes, Every time I see
one.
I don't know.
I just have this infatuationwith cows because I think
they're really cute.
They're like gigantic dogs.
Speaker 1 (50:03):
Yeah, have you ever
like pet a cow?
Speaker 2 (50:05):
Yeah, I got to bottle
feed a cow one time.
Speaker 1 (50:07):
Okay, that was pretty
cool.
Changed your life.
Yeah, a hundred percent, that'swhat like did it for you.
Speaker 2 (50:10):
Okay, I was like this
is my life.
I need to live on a farm, eventhough I don't know anything.
Speaker 1 (50:13):
Do you feel like ever
in your life you'll own a cow?
Speaker 2 (50:23):
I want to, but
probably not.
I want to.
It's realistic.
What about?
A pig, they're Okay.
I have three dogs, yeah, yeah, and I think you've got three
dogs.
Speaker 1 (50:30):
What are their dogs
names?
Speaker 2 (50:32):
Leo, Benny and Juice.
Speaker 1 (50:33):
Okay, yeah, leo,
benny and Juice.
And what kind of dogs are these?
Speaker 2 (50:37):
My oldest dog, juice,
is a mutt of all mutts.
He's really cute.
He's a mix between a beagleDalmatian and a pit bull.
Speaker 1 (50:47):
Oh wow, jake would
say that he doesn't have beagle
in him but he definitely does.
Speaker 2 (50:50):
And then my middle
dog is a mini Australian
shepherd.
His name's Leo and he is mybaby boy.
Jake actually gave him to me asa birthday gift, like four or
five years ago, something likethat and he's super, super
chunky, but I love him.
He's like the tiniest littlechunk in the whole wide world,
but it's great, absolutely.
He's like the tiniest littlechunk in the whole wide world,
(51:11):
but it's great.
And then we rescued.
Benny from the Humane Societytwo years ago, two and a half
years ago.
Okay, and he is a blue heelerborder collie mix.
Oh cool, and he's very smartToo smart for his own good.
Speaker 1 (51:21):
Yeah, yeah, wow, I
didn't know you had three dogs.
Speaker 2 (51:24):
Yeah, yeah, I love
dogs, I love that.
Speaker 1 (51:26):
That's so cool.
Speaker 2 (51:27):
Maybe that's why I
portrayed my infatuation onto
cows.
Speaker 1 (51:31):
Who knows?
So Beth loves cows Yep, and shewould have a cow if she could.
She could, but she's got threedogs a husband, jake, baby on
the way off to 100 pounds.
Wild loves helping others loseweight.
We're going to end here quickbecause I feel like we could
talk forever I didn't evenrealize we're already like 50
(51:54):
minutes in Love it, but I wantto know what is, when you think
of one of your favorite parts ofbeing a coach, what comes to
mind?
Speaker 2 (52:04):
You know this and
maybe other people know this too
, but my empathy is very, verylarge, and so coming alongside
somebody who was at or is whereI was is very, very inspiring to
me, because I love to be ableto help people the way that you
guys help me.
So my favorite part is seeingthat change in people when they
(52:26):
hit that milestone of a weightloss goal or they hit 200
sessions and they've gotten soso much stronger, um, more
confident, um just being able tokind of help people along their
journey too.
Speaker 1 (52:38):
Yeah, I love that.
I love that and we're going towrap this episode up, Um, but I
do want to ask and I ask all ofour team, or all of our
interviewees, uh, guests on theshow.
I ask, hey, if there's onepiece of advice that you could
give someone.
Maybe they're on the fence ofstarting a health or fitness
journey.
Whether it's at FitBody or not,I don't care, but if they're on
(52:59):
the fence, what type of advicewould you give somebody as it
pertains to their health andtheir fitness journey?
Speaker 2 (53:06):
It's okay to put
yourself first.
It's okay to prioritize yourhealth and your fitness, even
though life gets in the waysometimes, and just keep going.
It's okay to put yourself firstand don't let the intrusive
thoughts win.
Just keep going.
Keep moving forward and put theenergy into yourself, because
it will be worth it.
Speaker 1 (53:24):
I love that.
I think that's an awesome noteto end this on.
