Speaker 1 (00:00):
The health and
fitness industry is messed up,
and the truth is, I don't evenlike the health and fitness
industry.
So why am I in it?
Today, we are talking about allthe reasons why I think the
health and fitness industry ismessed up and why I decided to
(00:20):
join it so that I could give mytwo cents and give my way of
doing it.
Let's dive in to today'sepisode.
Hey, what's going on?
(00:51):
Everybody?
Welcome to the Fit and HealthySioux Falls Show.
I'm your host, cj Wehrkamp.
I own the Fit Body Boot Camplocations here in Sioux Falls
and I am on a mission to helpSioux Falls, the surrounding
area in our community, gethealthier by living a more fit
and healthy lifestyle, withmaybe the tips, the tricks, the
(01:13):
ideas that you wouldn't think ofon your own and help you
realize that, no matter whatstep of the journey you are on,
there are actionable steps youcan take today to better
yourself and make progresstowards the goals that you have.
Now.
I've been in the fitnessindustry, for 2025 will be 10
(01:36):
years that I've had Fit Bodyopen and, as you heard in the
intro of the show, as you heardin the intro of the show, the
health and fitness industry ismessed up.
I think it's kind of a joke, and that is why I decided to
join the health and fitnessindustry, but join it by opening
my own fitness establishmentsand being able to have some
(01:59):
control on how I think it shouldbe done.
Now let's talk a little bit, cj.
What do you mean?
That the health and fitnessindustry is messed up?
What do you mean?
That you think it's leadingpeople astray or wrong or
guiding people to ultimatelygive up?
And here's what I mean by that.
(02:20):
When you look at the fitnessindustry in particular, we talk
about gyms.
Okay, the most common gym thatwas around when I was growing up
was your typical 24-hour accessgym.
So I want to just kind of lookat that one for a second.
A gym that just gives you keycard access or code access or
(02:43):
access to the gym, right.
These establishments arenormally pretty inexpensive,
anywhere from $10 a monthupwards of $40, $50 per month to
give you access, depending onwhat amenities are included.
Now, being in the industry foras long as I have and moving my
(03:05):
locations from one to the otherto ultimately opening a second,
helping my wife open herpreschool, and looking at
commercial real estate and kindof just knowing commercial real
estate prices and what it takesto run a business.
When you look at a 24-hour gym, okay, and now remember, a
(03:26):
business is there to make aprofit, otherwise it would be a
nonprofit but a traditionalbusiness is there to actually
turn a profit and that's whybusinesses are open.
Now let's look at thetraditional gym, the 24-hour
access gym.
The traditional gym, the 24hour access gym, and let's just
(03:49):
say that it has a price point of$20 per month, is going to be
your membership dues that youhave to pay every single month
to use that gym.
Now I'm going to pull out myphone here because I need a
calculator, because here iswhere the first reason why I
think the fitness industry isreally a joke, because the truth
is is most of these gyms.
Now, here's the point with thistoo.
(04:10):
I need you to understand this.
These gyms have a very greatpurpose and are very great for a
certain type of person, andthat type of person let me
explain who that is.
That type of person is the typeof person that is
self-motivated, isself-disciplined, is able to go
(04:30):
on a consistent basis to the gymand push themselves to
achieving the desired outcomethat they're looking for this
person is someone that, whetherthey went to that gym a gym that
just offered them key cardaccess or they had a gym at
their house, or they went tothat gym a gym that just offered
them key card access, or theyhad a gym at their house, or
they went to a buddy's gym, orwhatever, they're the type of
person that would go to the gymconsistently anyways.
(04:54):
But now these gyms that offerthis type of access, they need
to obviously pay for their rent, and so let's just stop right
there.
Okay, so I own two fit bodieshere in Sioux Falls and some of
the the real estate that we have.
The commercial rent that wehave to pay is upwards of almost
(05:15):
$10,000 per month, just for oneof the locations, okay, and
that is roughly a little lessthan 5,000 square feet.
Now the Crunch Fitness thatjust opened here in 2023, from
what I've been told, it's a60,000 square foot facility.
So I'm paying roughly 10 granda month to rent a less than
(05:39):
5,000 square foot facility.
So let's just say, for somecrazy way, this big building,
60,000 square feet, they're ableto get it for 10 grand a month?
Highly unlikely, but let's justsay they are Okay.
Now, $10,000 per month is themonthly rent, and a person going
(06:00):
there, let's say, pays 20 bucks.
I don't know, maybe they payless, maybe they pay more.
For just the ease of talk,we're going to say 20 bucks.
So you take 10,000, you dividethat by $20 a month, you need
500 clients just to pay for rent.
Now have you seen all theequipment that is in these
normal gyms?
(06:20):
Right, there's like rows andaisles of treadmills,
ellipticals, weight machines,dumbbells.
Now a dumbbell is anywhere fromon the cheap end a dollar a
pound, upwards of $2 a pound fora single dumbbell.
Now, there's thousands ofpounds of weight in here.
So you got to think of all themoney that goes into that
(06:42):
equipment and that stuff that'sin there.
So if they need 500 clientsjust to pay for rent, that
doesn't pay for their equipment, that doesn't pay for their
staff, that doesn't pay fortheir utilities.
That's just covering the space.
What's crazy to me is you can'tfit 500 people even close into
(07:02):
that establishment at all.
Now, I understand they wouldn'tall come at once, but I also
heard a while back that therewere some gyms in town that had
over 10,000 members, over 10,000members at their gyms.
Okay, and here's the issue, andhere's why the fitness industry
is messed up, and I get itbecause it has to happen.
(07:24):
If you need that many membersjust to pay for the space,
number one are those peopleactually getting you know the
benefit, the service, thecustomer service that they need
to reach the goals that theyhave.
And again, this gym, like Isaid earlier, has a very
(07:45):
specific purpose that reallyhelps those people that are
self-motivated, self-disciplinedand are going to do it.
But the problem is is thatreally the studies show is that
67% of people that have a gymmembership don't use it.
They don't use it.
They don't use it.
(08:06):
So, 67% of the people.
So if we're just talking the500, which is to help you pay
the $10,000 of rent 500 times67%, you've got 335 of them that
are paying their $20 a month, which is $6,700 per month.
That is going to that businessthat those people are getting
(08:29):
zero results.
Now, I understand I own a gym.
I understand that, as much asyou may try to have every single
client come in and utilize thegym life circumstances, there's
just going to be some of thosepeople that don't.
But, with that being said, whatare the gyms or the businesses
doing with those people that arepaying them that are not coming
(08:52):
.
Now, we're human, so we makemistakes as well, but it is our
goal to have every single personthat is paying us at Fit Body
come three times per week.
That is our goal.
Now, does that always happen?
No, it doesn't.
But if it doesn't happen, weare reaching out to them, we're
getting ahold of them, we'refiguring out how can we get you
(09:13):
back in.
And you know what that does.
It does lead to sometimes peoplecanceling, and so that's why
the traditional big box gymdoesn't do that, because if they
were reaching out to thesepeople the 67% that were not
using their gym they would losethem because they would realize
that, oh, we're not using this,we should just cancel.
But here's another thing thatthe fitness industry does
(09:35):
They've realized that if theyprice their services low enough
that in the average person'slife they don't check their bank
account enough to realize that,oh, I'm still paying for that
thing that I'm not using, and sothat's why a lot of people, and
myself included, ended upgetting this bad taste for a big
box gym, another reason why Ifeel that it is not set up for.
(09:59):
The big box gym is not set upto help the person that needs
accountability.
The big box gym is not set upto help the person that needs
accountability, that needsmotivation, that needs support
to get success.
But the problem is that whenall these gyms are marketing to
the client, they're allmarketing something that the
person sees, that they thinkwill help them.
(10:20):
But what that person that isnot self-motivated, that won't
go do it on their own, that theydon't see is they don't see
that you know what it says thatthis gym has all the things
they're looking for the classes, the 24-hour access, all this
stuff but if you're notself-motivated to go do it,
you're going to find yourself onthat hamster wheel of health or
(10:43):
fitness and not getting theresults that you desire Now.
So that's just one reason that Ithink the fitness industry is
messed up, and the anotherreason that I want to talk about
is that really I feel that gymsso many of them are all
competing to get the same personinto their gym.
(11:05):
It's like this gym is trying toget clients that actually go to
that gym to come over to theirgym and this gym is trying to
get clients that already go to adifferent gym to come to their
gym, and I really feel like youknow what?
If there was a way that all ofus gyms could work together, we
could all benefit more.
Because the truth of it is isthat Fit Body Bootcamp, the gyms
(11:26):
that I own, I know for a factare not the exact right gym for
everybody in Sioux Falls no wayI know that.
But what we don't do then islike oh well, then you should go
to that gym.
As a gym industry, it justdoesn't happen, but I feel that
it should.
If we could all help each othermore, then we would be able to
(11:47):
all impact more lives, because Ido believe that, no matter
where you're at on your healthand fitness journey or maybe
you're not even on a health orfitness journey you should be on
one, because life is betterwhen you feel better.
And when you're feedingyourself full of garbage or
you're feeding yourself full ofgarbage or you're feeding
yourself full of inactivity whathappens is you end up not
(12:10):
feeling good, you end up lackingconfidence, and one of the
whole reasons that I got intothe health and the fitness
industry in the very beginningwas because I was lacking
self-confidence, and I was ableto find confidence through a
community that I found at thegym.
It wasn't through the fat lossresults, it wasn't through the
(12:30):
muscle that I gained, it wasn'tthrough the way that my body
changed in a way it was but whatit really was was in the
community that I was able tofind and build at the gym that I
went to.
And so I feel that we as a gymindustry could do a lot better.
We as a gym industry couldimpact more people in a better
(12:54):
way.
And so what happens is when biggyms come into town and they put
this huge market press onacquiring all these clients for
a super low price and then theylock them into a contract, what
happens is it pulls a lot ofmembers from a lot of different
gyms over to that gym.
And then these people thatleave the gyms because, let's be
(13:18):
honest, who doesn't want tosave money?
We all do so they look andthey're like, oh hey, this looks
like it has everything that Ineed.
I'll just go over there and payless to achieve the results
that I'm after.
Then what happens is they getto this different gym and they
find out that oh man, wait, itactually doesn't have the
community that I was looking forit doesn't have the
(13:41):
accountability that I waslooking for and, lo and behold,
I'm actually now stuck in acontract, and that's why really,
too.
Another reason that I found thatI didn't like the fitness
industry is because how are yougoing to just lock someone in a
contract, like I get it?
It might be good for thebusiness, but when I opened Fit
(14:03):
Body and why I decided to openmy own thing is that I didn't
want to do the things that weregood for the business.
I wanted to do things that weregood for the people, that truly
helped the people get results, because I knew at the end of the
day that I shouldn't just havea piece of paper or something
signed by a client thatguarantees me a certain amount
(14:25):
of time that they're gonna bewith us.
I should have to, myself and myteam and our business show up
daily in a way that encourages, engages and motivates our
clients to stay consistentcoming, so that we are earning
the pay that they pay us.
And so at FitBody, that's whywe really do just a four week
(14:47):
cancellation notice.
If you need to cancel, you giveus a four week notice and we
part ways as friends and we'vegot clients.
We've been doing this for 10years, you guys, we've got
clients that have left and guesswhat?
I've got clients that are nowat different gyms and here and
there, and I wish we could justhave them all at Fit Body.
But the truth is that we hadthem for a season, we had them
for a reason, and I wanna stillbe that person that's rooting
(15:08):
for them, encouraging them, keeping them going, because at
the end of the day, I'm justglad that they're working out
Now.
My philosophy also is like, ifwe had that person for a certain
season for a certain reason, did we leave a big enough impact
(15:29):
on them and help change theirlife good enough so that,
whether maybe in the future theycome back or maybe they don't,
but they end up talking tosomeone and they're like you
know what?
I don't currently go to FitBody anymore, for whatever
reason.
But I tell you what, if you'relooking for community
accountability, results,relationships, all those things,
you should go there, because itwas an amazing experience that
helped me on my health and myfitness journey, and so that is
(15:52):
why I decided I'm going to openmy own thing.
When I was opening FitBody, Iwas looking into opening my own
thing I had so many people Atthe time I was actually leaving
a family-owned business myfamily, my grandma and her
brother-in-law owned.
It was called Queen CityWholesale.
It's been in town or it was intown.
It's closed now, but it was intown for so many years.
(16:13):
I think it was in town for over60 years and that business
delivered candy, tobacco, paperproducts, restaurant supplies to
convenience stores, to gasstations, to restaurants, all
over town and even out of town.
And that's where I used to workand I went to school.
I graduated from Sioux FallsChristian and when I went to
(16:34):
school to get certified as apersonal trainer because I knew
that I wanted to be able toimpact people's life in a
positive way through health andfitness, and when I was looking
to open FitBody leave the familybusiness I had people telling
me what are you doing?
You're crazy.
Like, why don't you just stayworking at the family business?
It's a family business, likeyou're set, you're guaranteed
(16:55):
comfortable life or heck.
Even if you are looking atleaving and going into the gym
business.
At the time, great Life wasblowing up, which nothing
against Great Life like goodform.
I think they're doing a greatthing and they help a lot of
people in our community, but Iwanted to go and do it my own
way.
I wasn't looking for aguarantee.
I was looking for a place Icould pour my passion into, that
I could truly change lives.
(17:16):
And, to be honest, I wasn'tlooking at opening a business,
matter of fact.
I didn't know anything aboutopening a business.
All I knew is that I hadpassion for people.
I wanted to help people changetheir lives, in that maybe a gym
my own gym could be the placewhere I helped others change
their life.
And so I just feel that there'sso many people in this town and
(17:42):
if all of us gyms could beworking together to impact their
lives in a more positive way, knowing that every single person
that signs up for our gyms weonly have them for a season, but
we do have them for a reasonand what is it that we can do to
impact their lives in a waythat will change their lives for
(18:02):
years to come?
And I get it Maybe some of youare listening that have been
past clients and your lifedoesn't feel like it changed
that way for you.
That's the goal.
We're not always going to nailit on the head, but I just feel
like if more of us could do that, that we would impact more
lives.
You see, I want to give you alittle story of also why I just
(18:27):
don't love the traditional gymindustry.
When I walk into your typicalgym, I come from a background of
being self-conscious every timeI look in the mirror.
I still fight that on a dailybasis.
I am doing better at it on adaily basis and so I'm way
better now than I was before.
But I used to look in themirror and see someone that I
(18:48):
didn't think was deserving.
I used to look in the mirrorand see someone that I didn't
think was worth it, that coulddo it, that could achieve it,
and that doesn't feel good.
It doesn't feel good to look inthe mirror and have that
feeling as you see thatreflection staring back at you.
Now, that's what I seen when Ilooked in the mirror and when I
walked into a regular gym.
What I felt was out of place.
(19:09):
I don't belong here.
This isn't for me.
I seen a whole bunch ofequipment.
I seen a whole bunch of peoplethat seemed to know what they
were doing and I'm like I don'tknow what I'm doing, so what do
I do, and that's when I realizedthat, man, people need guidance
, people need accountability, people need connection, People
(19:31):
need relationships that aregoing to push them through the
hard times that life throws them.
And so why I think the fitnessindustry is doing such a
disservice to so many people isthat it's putting on this
make-believe thing that it'sgonna be easy, or that just
(19:54):
joining a gym is going to fix it, or that doing this diet or
doing this meal prep service isgoing to be the thing that just
fixes it.
It isn't going to be easy.
You're not going to do onething that fixes it, you're not
going to join FitBody and it'sgoing to all be better.
Like you look at it and youwonder okay, why did then some
(20:15):
people that joined FitBody haveamazing success and then some
people that joined FitBody don'thave amazing success?
It's because you know what itisn't, that FitBody or any gym
is the gym that is providingthis person success.
It's that person finally hit apoint in their lives where they
decided they were going to takethe help that was offered to
them.
They were going to go all inand take the help that they
(20:38):
could get that was offered tothem.
And so you have to find a gymthat is offering you the right
help.
Are they reaching out to youwhen you're not going?
Are they helping you withmodifications or adjustments
when you have an injury?
Are they getting you connectedto people that will hopefully
(20:58):
help hold you accountable whenyou're not in the gym?
Those are all the things thatyou need to be looking for, and,
as it pertains to health andfitness, it isn't just about
working out and eating right.
It's about all the differentthings.
It's about sleeping properly.
It's about the relationshipsthat you have.
It's about how you have yourmindset.
Do you wake up and positivelypour into your own mind about
(21:21):
how you have your mindset?
Do you wake up and positivelypour into your own mind, or are
you letting just everything fromthis world flow into your mind
and then that's the outcome thatyou get?
And so I just want to encourageyou, wherever you're at, that
there is a community, a gym, aplace out there for you.
I don't know if it's Fit Body itmight be, it might not be but
(21:44):
there's amazing gyms.
I actually just posted onFacebook.
Just the other day.
I seen a post and it was likeSouth Dakota or Sioux Falls
referrals.
I don't even know Some groupI'm in and it said it was an
anonymous poster and it saidwhat is the best gym in Sioux
Falls?
And I really think that that isa opinion-based answer.
(22:05):
You're only going to get anopinion-based answer.
It's going to be the opinionsof others.
Now, when people ask me is FitBody the best gym?
I love Fit Body, it's my gymand I think we do the absolute
best that we can.
But if somebody is looking toput on size and get ready for a
physique or competition show, isFit Body going to be the best
(22:25):
gym for them?
No.
If somebody is looking to trainfor a specific sport or like an
athlete in a specific area oftheir life, is Fit Body going to
be the best gym for them?
No.
If you're looking to loseweight, tone up, if you're
looking for fast, efficient, quick workouts, if you're
(22:46):
looking for amazingaccountability, support, an
awesome atmosphere, community ofpeople, then yes, fit Body is
going to be the best gym.
But then I went on to sayingyou know what?
If you're looking for childcare I mean, we actually don't
offer child care we do allow ourclients if our clients know
that their kids will be able tosit on a tablet or with a
(23:06):
coloring book or do something inthe lobby where they can see
their parent out on the floorworking out for their 30-minute
workout, we do allow them to sitin the lobby, but as far as
actually offering child care, wedon't.
So some other gyms that do aregoing to be Burn Boot Camp or
the Avera Fitness Center, or Iknow that the Great Lifes do
(23:26):
offer childcare in certain areas.
I think even Crunch does so.
It depends on what you'relooking for, and if that's
something that you need toactually be able to find success
, then you're going to want tolook to those gyms to actually
be able to find success, thenyou're gonna wanna look to those
gyms.
If you're looking forone-on-one personal training Fit
Body we don't do that, and sothen there would be other gyms
(23:48):
that I would recommend for that.
One of them is Kong StrongFitness Kong Strong I actually
knew Kong years ago.
Just so proud of him Shout outto you Kong if you ever see this
Just so proud of him for theway that he has poured his
dedication to individualtraining.
He has had so many peopleprepped ready and win physique
and competition like shows, andthat is just amazing, and so I'm
(24:12):
so proud of him.
So I'd say, go there.
You know, if you're looking fora gym that has more CrossFit
style.
Now with that, I met Joe Moen, who is partners and owners of
Origin, strength and justamazing group of people over
there that have an amazingcommunity, and I would say, if
you're looking for CrossFitstyle, go there.
But that's just it.
(24:32):
You guys, there are differentgyms and they all serve a
different person, a differentreason and a different community
, and so if you've tried a gymand it wasn't the right gym for
you, I want you to go tryanother one.
There are so many gyms in townand I'm getting to the point
where I think there's too manygyms in town, let's be honest.
(24:53):
But also to that fact is likethere's 200 plus thousand people
in our town.
Are all of them going to a gymand getting what it is that they
need with their health andfitness?
No, so with that, like, keeppopping them up, that's fine,
but we need to be making surethat we are really dialed in and
focused on serving the peoplethat we have, and so I've been
(25:15):
talking with my team and I'mlike guys, we got to go more all
in on our clients, making surethat the season and the reason
that we have them, we help thisbe something they can look back
on and always be able to say youknow that time that I was at
FitBody and maybe they're stillat FitBody it changed my life
forever and that's why I wantedto open my own gym.
(25:41):
I wanted to do my own thingbecause I didn't want to
guarantee People were like gowork at a different job where
you can still do health orfitness, you're going to get a
guaranteed paycheck, you'regoing to get guaranteed income,
you're going to have guaranteedbenefits.
That's not what I'm looking for.
I'm looking for somewhere wherewe can pour our passion, our
hearts, our service into theclients that we have.
(26:03):
And that's what we do at FitBody and we're going to keep
doing that.
And I want nothing more thanfor Fit and Healthy Sioux Falls
to be a place that people cancome, they can grow, they can
gain the knowledge that theyneed so they can truly get the
results that they're looking for.
I know it can happen.
I know we can do this.
(26:23):
There's a little bit of thisbridged gap where more of us gym
owners need to work together.
More of us gym goers need towork together and realize that
your gym is amazing for you andyou should invite your friends
to come try it, but maybe that'snot where they're gonna end up.
They might end up at anothergym, and we should encourage and
(26:45):
support that, and we shouldencourage others to get involved
in a community.
That's going to make them feelamazing, and that's why I opened
Fit Body.
That is why I decided I wantedto go my own route.
When I opened Fit Body BootCamp, I landed on a landing page
that said which a landing pageis like a page on the web.
(27:05):
That said that the big banneracross the top it says are you
passionate about fitness butdon't know how to run a business
?
I was like that's me.
It said click here.
So I clicked here and nextthing you know that was in
december of 2014 by may of 2015,I opened up my first fit body
boot camp location, and here weare now heading into next year.
2025 will be 10 years ofinspiring fitness, changing
(27:30):
lives every day, growing anamazing team, helping so many
clients in our community, andwe're just getting started, and
so I want to just leave you guyswith why I think the health and
fitness industry is broke isbecause it makes people think
it's gonna be easy.
There's gyms out there thatdon't actually care about their
(27:53):
community.
They care about servicing acertain amount of people, and
that's great, but what happensin the meantime is they have to
collect so many other membersthat are getting absolutely
nothing from the money thatthey're paying, just so that
that business can stay inbusiness.
And I get it.
That's how they run, but that'swhy we do what we do, and I
(28:16):
just feel like more people needto know that it isn't going to
be a quick fix.
More people need to know thatit's going to be work.
But unfortunately, in order toget people interested is we have
to tell them that it's going tobe a quick fix.
We have to tell them thatthey're going to get quick
results and if you do all thethings, you can get amazing
results fast.
But the truth is is to keepthose results and to keep on
(28:38):
going.
You're going to have to gothrough the valleys, you're
going to have to go through thestruggles and not give up.
There's going to be times whereyou are going to give up, but
you're going to have to jumpback in and realize that the
only way you can fail is if youstop.
And so I don't know where you'reat today, but I want you to
know that if you've tried anygym and it hasn't worked for you
(29:00):
, even if that's Fit Body, Iwant you to know today is your
sign to go try another gym Todayis your sign to go find another
community?
Maybe it's not even a gym,maybe it's a running community
or a biking community or awalking community or heck, I
don't know what it is, but justa group of people that get
together, that push you, motivate you and inspire you to
(29:22):
go out and be your best selftoday.
So today is your sign to go dothat and, to be honest, I don't
actually know if everything thatI said in this episode is going
to resonate with you.
Maybe you might think, cj,you're crazy, you're off your
rocker, but I just think thatthe health and fitness industry
needs to do a better job ofserving the people, the
(29:44):
community, and coming togetherto help people live a more
confident life, because I dobelieve that health and fitness
is the gateway to blowing upyour own confidence in a good
way, to making you understandthat you're worth it, to make
you understand that you can doit.
Because when you make a promiseto yourself and you keep that
(30:06):
promise to yourself, that's howyou build self-confidence,
that's how you build integritywith yourself.
If you are constantly tellingsomeone that you were going to
do something and then you neverdid it, that person wouldn't
trust you.
How do you think your own selffeels if you're constantly
telling yourself that I'm goingto do something, I'm going to
start this health or fitnessthing, and you never follow
(30:29):
through?
Every time you tell yourselfyou're going to do something and
you don't do it, you're hurtingthe self-integrity, the belief
that you have in yourself.
If you want to build yourbelief, start by making small
promises to yourself that youkeep.
Start by making small promisesto yourself that you keep.
Every time you tell yourselfyou're going to do something, do
(30:51):
everything in your power tofollow through with it and do it
, because that is how you buildself-belief, which self-belief
then believes to you actuallythinking you can do it, which,
if you actually think you can doit, you then go take action on
it.
And I want to encourage youtoday to go take action and
start today, because today canbe the start of your best life.
(31:13):
Fit and body bootcamp might notbe the exact fit, and I've
actually realized over thealmost 10 years of us doing this
that it isn't the right fit foreverybody, and sometimes people
just have no idea where tostart, and that's why I launched
earlier this year the Fit andHealthy University.
Fit and Healthy University isall online.
It is not meant to replace anygym membership.
(31:35):
It is not meant to replace anyhealth or fitness establishment.
It is meant to be a companion,an add-on, a plus one, if you
will be a companion, an add-on,a plus one, if you will to your
journey.
So at the Fit and HealthyUniversity, we actually now
offer a seven-day free trial andthen, if you like what's in
there and you like what thecommunity has to offer, it's $19
(31:56):
a month and you can add that onto any part of the health or
fitness journey that you'realready on and have an
additional support system righton your phone that can help you
through the struggles, that canhelp you through the obstacles
and that can give you motivation, accountability and support to
make your goals become a reality.
(32:16):
So, wherever you're at in yourjourney, I want you to check out
Fit and Healthy University, because it might just be that
add-on thing to help you getamazing results.
There's actually so manyresources in there.
I was thinking, as I was makingsome of these resources, of a
traditional gym where the 67% ofpeople that have a gym
(32:37):
membership somewhere but they'renot using it because they don't
know what to do at the gym whatif I could add resources?
So there's resources in thereto help you as well?
If that's maybe you, maybeyou're in that boat.
You're like, well, yeah, Iactually pay to go to this gym
(32:59):
and I never go because I neverknow what to do.
There's resources in here tohelp you with that.
My goal is to make Sioux Falls, our surrounded area, our
community, more fit and morehealthy by being able to know
and have the knowledge of whatto do to achieve the results
that you desire.
And just know that I don't haveall the answers.
(33:20):
I'm figuring out as we go.
But I tell you one thing I willhelp anybody that reaches out,
that needs help, that asks mefor help, and so if I can
support you in any way, getahold of me.
You can find me on the socials.
Get ahold of me and know that Iwant to support you, encourage
you and motivate you on your fitand healthy journey, whatever
that might be looking like, andjust know that we're here only
(33:44):
because of you.
So like, subscribe, share thisepisode.
I hope you got some value fromit and I hope you know that
you're worth it, you can do itand I believe in you.
