When my basketball career ended, I wasn’t just walking away from a sport—I was losing the identity I’d built around it. For years, my worth was tied to the athlete in me, but suddenly that version of myself was gone, and I had no roadmap forward. It felt like I was freefalling, struggling to find purpose outside of what I had known for so long.
But in that chaos, I found a lifeline: creativity. Music became a way to make sense of the pieces of myself that no longer fit within the old framework. And fitness? It wasn’t just about staying in shape—it became a tool for grounding myself and keeping my mind sharp. This journey taught me that true success lies not in achievements but in rediscovering and reclaiming every part of who you are.
