In this episode of the FLY BROTHER RADIO SHOW, Ernest chats with Luis Gramajo and Hans Schrei, co-founders of The Sunday Afternoon Project, a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating a sense of belonging through shared stories.
Their journey in the United States started in 2019, when they moved from their home country of Guatemala to Austin, Texas, and grew a farmers’ market stand to an astounding five million dollar business by 2021.
Though they eventually left the company behind, the lessons they learned through it planted the seed of what they found to be their purpose: to create a world of belonging, where everyone gets to come as they are, a world of shared safe spaces.
They talk about the lure of the American Dream, homophobia in Guatemala and the United States, the need for everyone to feel like they have a safe space, the power of storysharing, the beauty of travel, and much more!
Let’s fly with Luis and Hans of The Sunday Afternoon Project on the FLY BROTHER RADIO SHOW!
