The Return of the Messiah (Pt 1)

We are currently considering the events in the life of the Messiah during the days just prior to His death, burial and resurrection. Over the past few weeks, we have considered Jesus' interactions with the Scribes, Pharisees, Herodians, Sadducees and Lawyers. Today we begin to transition from the Examination phase of this week - when those religious leaders unknowingly validated that Jesus was indeed without blemish and, thereby, fulfilled the qualifications of both the passover sacrifice and sin sacrifice - into the Sacrificial phase of the week. In Matthew 24 and 25, Jesus informs His disciples of the coming destruction of the temple and then, in response to their questioning, gives them details regarding the end times.
