The appropriation of our financial resources is one of the primary reflections of the spiritual reign of Christ in our hearts. Jesus said, "where your treasure is, there your heart will be also." In the last message we discussed how God was to be given the first fruit and the first tenth of our finances. As we budget our resources, the next two considerations in the appropriation of our finances should be the government and our family needs. Taxation is a hot topic today. The Bible clearly teaches that we are to give taxes to whom taxes are due. Our truthfulness in handling our taxes is a measure of our integrity before God. Do you cheat on your taxes? Is Christ glorified in your truthfulness? Do you have an operating budget for your finances? Is Christ honored and reflected in the handling of your financial resources?
