Those who are properly reflecting Jesus in the appropriation of their financial resources will be giving God the first portion and priority. Afterwards, we must consider the taxation requirements of the government and then the needs of our family. An additional consideration in our budgets is our handling of debt. We are told in the book of Proverbs that the borrower is servant to the lender. It should be the goal of every believer to be indebted only to Christ.
