FTGOTG S2, E5 | Episode 5 features a "coach & player relationship" that began during the 1982/83 season at DeMatha Catholic HS. A great interview with legendary Head Football Coach Bill McGregor and NFL Alumnus JB Brown (Dolphins DB), sharing what makes football and student life at DeMatha Catholic HS so special.
For Coach McGregor, it starts with the faculty and administration and extends throughout the school and community. The "it" in this case is clear and consistent communication! For JB Brown it was understanding and living up to the standards and expectations set forth within the long-standing culture at DeMatha.
Both men discuss the value and stress the importance of "relationships" in setting the foundation for long-term success. Relationships grounded in a faith-based environment and nurtured through the platform of football...to produce great results on the field and better men in "life after the game!"
Intro music "Next Level" used under license by Composer Rujay Torres.
