Nathaniel Heutmaker explores the Holy Grail as much more than a physical object, revealing it as possibly the most deeply occulted information on Earth that continues to shape our present and future. Through his 15 years of studying history and mythology, he connects seemingly disparate elements—from stones to Nazi occultism to Portugal—to uncover the Grail's true significance across global traditions.

• The Nazi regime actively sought the Holy Grail and Spear of Destiny to harness their supposed occult powers
• The term "occult" simply means "hidden" (from Latin "occultare"), not inherently evil
• In Arthurian tradition, the Grail can both heal and harm depending on the seeker's intention
• Chrétien de Troyes first mentioned "a grail" in Arthurian literature, suggesting multiple grails
• The Knights Templar wrote many Grail stories and even created Portugal, whose name may mean "through you, the Grail"
• The Grail connects to diverse traditions including Celtic mythology, alchemy, tarot, Kabbalah, and Vedic wisdom
• Sumerian "gra.al" may be the oldest variant of the word, dating back 4,000-5,000 years
• The Grail represents a transformative spiritual journey that can heal our personal wounds
• Everyone must undertake their own "Grail Quest" to overcome personal challenges and improve themselves

Speaker 1 (00:01):
What do a stone, nazis and the country of
Portugal all have in common?
I'll give you a hint itinvolves what many know today as
the Holy Grail, but it's notjust some silly story from the
past, nor even just a physicalobject.
It is the most deeply occultedinformation on the planet that
is currently shaping yourpresent and directing your

(00:23):
future.
That is currently shaping yourpresent and directing your
future.
My name is Nathaniel HoytMocker.
I am a trained historian with adegree from the University of
Santa Cruz.
I was raised in a Hinduhousehold and I've dedicated the
last 15 years to studying thevarious aspects of history and
mythology, and through thesestories I've overcome many

(00:45):
personal challenges and beenmade a better person, because I
learned their deeper meaningsthat the ancients were trying to
tell us.
There is a reason why thesestories last hundreds of years
or thousands of years it'sbecause they touch upon timeless
truth that reflect on the humancondition.
In order to truly understandthe Grail, we must start near

(01:07):
the end rather than itsbeginning, with a group of
people who wanted to abuse itspower for their own political
gain and to make sure that theiraims were guaranteed the last
in a long string of thingsassociated with the Grail and
its mysteries is one of the mostdarkest time periods in human

(01:28):
history, and that is, of course, world War II.
Hitler and various differentoccult groups associated with
the Nazis went out in search ofvarious different occult objects
.
These included, of course, theHoly Grail and the Spear of
Destiny, which is also very muchlinked to these stories having

(01:51):
to do with the Holy Grail in andof itself, and it's quite
interesting that they decided todo this.
Now, the reason why they weredoing this and going into search
of this, as well as many otherobjects that were of cult thing,
was because they were trying toaccumulate any type of power

(02:12):
that they could for themselves.
They didn't want to just bepolitical inside of it and only
deal with this world.
They were also interested indealing with a cult.
They were also interested indealing with a cult.
They were also interested inthe spirituality and stuff like
that, and they were trying tousurp many traditions that had
come before them and use it fortheir own political, racial

(02:36):
ideologies and things that weregoing on of this particular
notion and whatnot, ocean andwhatnot.
And they hired someone who wasspecifically multiple people in
fact that were specific expertsin grail, lore and mythology in
the hopes of trying to find theactual physical objects of it.

(02:57):
Now, I'm not going to get intowhether the physical cup of
Christ used the Last Supper, which is known as the Holy Grail
, actually exist here or not.
That's not the point of thisvideo.
The point is to showcase howthese stories that are
associated with have much deepermeanings and that they have
many ties to things that aregoing on with it, that they

(03:21):
literally change the course ofhuman history, and how these
same stories can change us, ifwe allow them to, by really
understanding their deepermeanings and what's going on
here.
So, inside of the stories youhave where the chalice the grail

(03:44):
that's there is used and showsup in King Arthur's court and
during that time period, all theknights of the round table go
out and in search of it.
And this is done because of theother aspect of the Nazis we're
also looking for, which is theSpear of Destiny, also known as

(04:07):
the Spear of Longnius.
This is the spear thatsupposedly, you know, hit the
side of Christ while he was onthe cross and made him bleed.
So by doing this, they would goand catch that his sweat and
blood, and this would be part ofthe Holy Grail tradition and
then it's brought over to theUnited Kingdom via a man named

(04:32):
Joseph of Arimathea.
We will touch on all of this andmore later on, but for our
purposes today, what's happeninghere is that in the Arthurian
tradition, the spear goes and isused in a way that it's not
supposed to be used for and itcauses damage to somebody else,

(04:56):
and this is known as the WoundedKing, or the Fisher King
sometimes, or the Rich King.
I'm going to just use it as thethe wounded king here for the
purposes of this video, and I'vealready made another video on
the wounded king.
So and that trope.
Now what happens is is thatwhen he does so, the blow makes

(05:20):
it so that way, it causesdestruction throughout the total
of the total destruction of theKings realm, the wounded Kings
realm.
It leads to war and disease andto having all these problems
that pop up and to crops notgrowing and rain not coming and
and all these things, for what'sgoing on with it.

(05:41):
And so clearly the grail, interms of the Spear of Destiny
here, has a lot of potential forthat, for destruction and its
power.
On the other hand, the grail inand of itself is said to be able
to heal the wounded king.

(06:02):
That makes it so.
That way the land can berestored properly and whatnot.
This is why the knights go ontheir quest to seek out the
grail and whatnot.
This is also why the grail andwhatnot.
This is also why the Nazis areseeking out the grail and the

(06:23):
sphere of destiny.
The sphere of destiny is tomake it so that way they can
control and have the outcomethat they want and potentially
use it as a weapon if they areable to find it.
And it's also talked about thesphere of destiny in terms of
legends and myth behind it thatanybody who has it cannot be
defeated in battle, which, obviously, if you're in the
middle of a war or preparing fora war and you want to basically
take over the world and make itso that way, you do that, then

(06:46):
you're going to need that forwhat's going on.
On the other hand, you alsowant to be able to find the one
thing that can go out and healwhat has been done by the Spear
of Destiny here and make it sothat way you can go and prevent
the one thing that can pop upfrom this.
Now the grail is also describedas something that can not only

(07:10):
give life and healing andwhatnot, but it can also take it
away and whatnot, but it canalso take it away.
So that's another reason whythe Nazis were going and looking
for these occult objects andwhatnot.
And so I think, before I go anyfurther here, I'm going to just
briefly describe the word occult, because a lot of people think

(07:34):
that it somehow has to beassociated with evil.
It's not.
It comes from Latin.
It means, and its roots arefrom Alcatare, and it just means
to hide or hidden.
So, in other words, this isdeeper, hidden meanings behind
stuff.
For it it's like exotericversus esoteric Exo is the

(07:57):
surface, like an exoskeleton, and then eso is hidden within
deeper and whatnot.
And so you have to understandthe deeper meanings of these
stories in order to make it sothat way you can get to them.
There's a hidden message withinthese stories, hence the word
occult and hence why theNational Socialistsists, the

(08:18):
nazis, were going and lookingfor these things as well.
They were trying to make it sothat way they could use any and
all occult objects that theycould that they associated with
the aryan people to make it sothat way they could go and and
do this, and of course, I'm nottalking about all of them here.
I'm just talking about theSpirit of Destiny and the Holy

(08:40):
Grail, but my main focus beingon the Holy Grail.
So that's important tounderstand that now.
And it's interesting enough tonote that the first mention of
the Holy Grail, at least in theArthurian mythos, is actually by

(09:02):
a person named Chrétien deTroyes, and he doesn't mention
that there's one grail.
His exact wording of the grailis a grail, implying that there
are multiple grails, and this isthe first time that you can see
this being talked about in themythologies and legends and

(09:24):
romances associated with theArthurian tradition, and it's
important to understand thisbecause this is going.
This leads to the probability, the possibility that you know,
searching for physical object isnot the actual end goal of
things here, and it's just nottrue in any way, shape or form.

(09:49):
And I've come to learn thatthere are multiple things that
are associated with the Grail inmy quest to understand it and
to understand other mythologiesaround the world and whatnot,
and so this all comes intosomething that I've termed the
Grail Sciences, hence the nameof the channel, the YouTube

(10:11):
channel.
So if you want to do this verybriefly.
What I mean here in terms ofscience?
It comes from the word skere,it means to know, to understand,
and it's a Latin term forwhat's going on there, and it's
very similar to what we wouldmean by science today, but it
doesn't just have to do withwhat we would necessarily

(10:33):
consider science today.
An example of this could belike a philosophy of some sort.
Philosophy is a way to come toknow things, even if it's not
like done through the scientificmethod per se and whatnot.
So when I say science, that'swhat our science is I'm talking
about things that are associatedwith the grail, that we can use

(10:55):
to come to understand it betterand what it means.
So that's what's going on here.
When I mean that, so it couldbe mythology, it could be
philosophy, it could be actualscientific stuff with it.
We're just going to be lookinginto all things and anything
that could possibly have to dowith the grail or makes

(11:15):
references to the grail storiesthat we'll be studying here,
mainly through the lens of theArthurian tradition, but we will
be pulling from othertraditions that clearly showcase
that they also have direct tiesto the Arthurian tradition in
and of itself.
Now, as I mentioned before, thegrail can be used for both good

(11:38):
and for negative purposes andwhatnot.
The grail can take life away, but it can also give it.
This is one of the things thatgoes on with it.
It depends on the person whoends up searching for it and
whether or not they are ready toreceive the true meaning and
understanding of the grail.
Ready to receive the truemeaning and understanding of the

(12:01):
grail.
If the person who does it comesat it from a pure heart, then
they will be able to get thegrail.
If, on the other hand, they arenot able to do so and they have
ill intent behind it, or thatthere's something wrong with
them in terms of a characterflaw that's coming up, then they
will have negative consequencesfor them seeking out the grail
inside of it.

(12:22):
Now, when we talk about thegrail traditions and whatnot,
the major components that arethere are pagan and then
medieval time period, christianity, for what's going
on specifically in the 1100s,1200s and 1300s, for the most
part for the Christian influenceor when these stories were

(12:44):
written down, and we also knowthat a lot of the original
material comes from variousdifferent Celtic traditions.
I put Celtic in quotation marks, because there's multiple
meanings to that word from ahistorian's standpoint for what
it is, and so there are paganaspects mixed in with the story

(13:05):
and there are a lot of Christianinfluences that are on that
story.
And one of the major groupsthat has to do with the writing
of the medieval time period thatties into all of this, are the
Templars.
They are the ones who arebehind a lot of the written
materials for the people that weknow that actually wrote all

(13:28):
this stuff down.
Now, what I mean by that is isthat some people that wrote it
down we don't know who they are.
They were anonymous, so wedon't know who they're
associated with.
But a lot of it is done in sucha way that we know that they
were done by Cistercian monks orby the Templar order, which are
actually all one in the samegroup, just different branches

(13:49):
of each other, which we'llexplore later on and they were
both created and sanctioned by aman named Bernard de Clairvaux.
So this is important becausethis is going to get us into
something that's very muchtalking about the philosophies

(14:10):
of a particular group of peopleand stuff that's going on there
with it, and you might bethinking, okay, that's great.
They're associated with thestories of the grail.
But what does it have to dowith Portugal?
Well, that I mentioned earlierin the video.
Well, one of the things thatthey did mean the Templars did

(14:30):
is they created the nation stateof Portugal.
On one of the ancient seals forit the original documents for
the creation of this particularcountry and whatnot there's a
seal that says Portugal on it,which means through you, the

(14:53):
grail, and so they clearly hadsome sort of plan for all of
this that was going on therewith Portugal and the grail, and
we will be exploring thatfurther for what's going on
inside of these traditions aswell.
And then, one of my favoritethings that helps ties all this

(15:16):
together is a book by Wolframvon Aschenbach called Parsifal,
and inside of it it isexplicitly mentioned that the
and Grail guardians are Templars.
So that tells you what theirbeliefs are about, stuff right

(15:40):
there in terms of what Wulframbrought with it.
That is, from my knowledge ofall the stuff that I've read,
the most occult version of thestory for Parsifal and the
search for the Grail.
It's so occult it's not evenfunny.
There's so many differentthreads inside of it.
It's very interesting forwhat's going on there.

(16:01):
Regardless, the point is is thatalso inside of that story and
other ones, it is mentionedabout a stone, and the stone is
Lapis Exelius, which gives ashout out to another way of
saying the philosopher's stonein alchemy.

(16:23):
So alchemy and the stones thatare there are very much a part
of the grail tradition forwhat's going on there, and so
you see that there's otherthings that are associated with
this.
So we've got a stone, we've gota chalice, we've got a spear,

(16:44):
we also have a sword that'sassociated with this, and I'm
not just talking about Excaliburor the sword and the stone,
which are not the same thing, atleast in most stories.
I'm talking about a sword beingassociated with it as well.
That needs to be fixed withthat, which another character

(17:04):
called Gwaine goes into all this, which why I'm bringing this up
is because, with the sword, thestone, the chalice and the
spear, we now have not only thefour main treasures of the
Tuatha Dé Danann, of the Irishpeople that are there with it in

(17:31):
terms of their stories, thatseem to have influence here, but
we also get tarot, and insideof the tarot deck and the cards,
they're broken up into thesefour different categories and
they all have different meaningsfor stuff or what's going on
there.
And now we have anotherassociation with the grail
sciences, if you will, that areright there and how that all

(17:51):
plays into this as well.
And we also know that a lot ofthe stuff that's coming out of
the Templars and these otherparts where they have control
over things has to do withKabbalah, and so Kabbalah inside
of it, the tree of life hassomething else that is literally

(18:13):
referred to part of the shapeof it that's there that makes up
that is called the Grail.
So we're starting to seealready, just by these basic
connections that are there withit, that it's tied to a lot of
different things with it.
You've got Irish mythologythat's in there.
You've got Celtic mythologythat's in there.

(18:34):
You've got stuff from Walesthat's in there for what's going
on.
You've got Templarism that's inthere.
You've got celtic mythology uh,that's in there.
You've got stuff from walesthat's in there for what's going
on.
You've got templarism that's inthere.
You've got christianity suchcatholicism that's in there at
this time period.
You have the tarot.
You've got alchemy for what'shappening with it.
We already know that this isalso influenced by certain
aspects of uh is Islam to acertain extent lesser extent

(18:59):
than these other ones, butthey're still there that are
playing out with it.
You're going to see thatthere's just tied to so many
other things that are going onthere and of course, you know,
as someone who's raised in aHindu household, I also see that
there's connections to theVedic tradition that's there,

(19:20):
and when you get the Vedictradition for what's going on
and you realize that you havethe Celtic, the Irish, and then
you have other parts of it thatare going on there, you see the
same things pop up and of course, these over what's a group of
people that originated from thecaucus region and whatnot, you
get the proto-indo-europeans andtheir spread, and this makes it

(19:44):
so.
That way you can also see themand all the stuff that goes
along with that, where there'scertain portions, um of things
that occur there.
You know you also have heard,of course, from certain

(20:05):
conspiracy aspects of thingswith it that there's a bloodline
that's associated with this, with it, and so this gives us,
you know, certain parts of theMerovingian dynasty that's there
with it and that the going backto ancient Egypt and Sumeria
for what's going on there.
And since we're on the Sumeriantopic, they have a science

(20:28):
that's there that they calledG-R-A, dot A-L, a dot a l graal
graal, which is probably theoldest variant of the word grail
that you can find anywhere inthe world.
I can't definitively say that'sthe case, but it's the oldest

(20:49):
one that I'm aware of that canbe traced back four thousand
five thousand years ago, andtheir science that's there is
basically alchemy of some sort, and, of course, alchemy comes
from Kemet, which is anothername for Egypt.

(21:10):
So you're starting to see, however, you've got Egypt,
you've got Samaria, you've gotall these other traditions that
are coming inside of it that arethere.
You've got the Tuatha Dé Danann, you've got the Vedic tradition
, you've got so many otherthings that are happening people
I haven't even mentioned thatare a part of this and whatnot.
And it is important tounderstand that there are other

(21:36):
things that are happening, suchas hermeticism that's inside of
it, and alchemy is a subset ofhermeticism that's going on
inside of these stories andwhatnot.
And the more I study it, themore it becomes clear that the
Arthurian tradition and thegrail tradition that it seems to

(21:57):
have all the stuff that's everentered into Western, uh,
mystery school tradition, western thought, uh, and it's,
it's.
It's quite insane just how manyconnections that there are to
these various different things.
You're going to see later onthat there's stuff that has to
do with the Scythians andwhatnot, and, um, you know,

(22:21):
they're another group of peoplethat are important.
You've got the Narts and theOssetians and the Allens and the
Sarmatians that are all part ofthis, uh, as well.
So the question becomes thenwhat really is the grail?
Well know, if it is, if it hasall these connections to all
these other things, and we seeit popping up in various

(22:43):
different forms, and chrétien detoi says it's just a grail, uh,
and, and whatnot, then clearlythere's so much more to the
story than what we areoriginally told, which is that
it's just some sort of physicalobject.
And we will be exploring all ofthese various different things

(23:03):
on this channel and more forwhat's going on here.
One of the things that I inviteyou to do is to kind of choose
the parts that you're interestedin.
There will be playlists that Imake.
There will be seasons, as I'mgoing to be calling them, so you
already have Season 1.
That's the Initiates Journey.
That won't be changing prettymuch too much at all.

(23:27):
There will be maybe someadditions that I make at some
point, but then you have Season2, which is the one that I'm
kind of doing right now, whichis the Arthurian myth and
tradition, but there'll be otherthings that are going on with
it.
I've already collaborated withsomebody making it.
So that way, at some point heresoon we're going to be deep

(23:47):
diving into certain of theSumerian tradition stuff with it
.
So there'll be a playlist forSumerian, there'll be a playlist
for the Templars, there'll be aplaylist for, you know, alchemy
and whatever else that I'mgoing to be covering here, and
each one's going to be its ownplaylist and each one's going to
be its own season, and fromthere you can explore the

(24:07):
aspects of the Grail and theGrail sciences that you find the
most compelling, the mostinteresting to you, and you can
go and learn about whateveraspect of it that you want to.
That's going on there.
So you know, we all haveproblems in our lives too and we

(24:33):
all want to have solved with it, and one of the things that's
about the grail in and of itselfis to have this transformative
aspect of things with it,because whenever the various
different knights that comeacross and King Arthur
originally.
Whenever they come across thegrail, they are transformed by
it.
They make it so.
That way they themselves becomebetter people from it and they

(24:55):
have this gnosis that comes tothem, a spiritual illumination
and coming face to face with thedivine understanding, the
divine plan.
Basically, if you will, youknow, almost like understanding
of enlightenment, like you wouldfind in Hinduism or Buddhism.
And because of that, I want tomake sure that everybody can

(25:22):
help deal with their problemsand understand these stories
better and how they can actuallyhelp like fix things for us.
And when you understand thedeeper um meanings behind that,
you know everybody has woundsthat they have to deal with,
just like the Wounded King andgoing on the Grail Quest.
To begin with, the point is thatwe all have to take a Grail

(25:44):
Quest, we all have to go andmake it so.
That way we better some part ofourselves with it.
It could be that you'restruggling with some sort of
addiction, that you have tosomething with that.
It could be your smartphone, itcould be pornography, it could
be you know where.
You're just spending too muchtime, you know, doing something

(26:05):
that's not necessarilybeneficial to you, or even
things that are beneficial toyou, but you're neglecting some
other portion of your life.
You could also have it to whereyou know you have an anger issue
that you need to resolve andwhatnot.
It doesn't really matter whatit is.
It's a metaphor for going afterthese difficult to see parts of
ourselves and making thathappen.

(26:26):
So if you would like to learnmore about this particular
portion of things and how theWounded King as a figure can go
and make this better for us, Iinvite you to click the video
that's on the screen right now, which is having to do with the
Wounded King, and make it so.

(26:47):
That way, you can start toexplore some of the deeper
layers of these stories foryourself.
I want to thank everybody foryour time and whatnot, and if
you've enjoyed this video, please like and subscribe, and I
look forward to seeing you allin the next one.
Take care.

Cardiac Cowboys

The heart was always off-limits to surgeons. Cutting into it spelled instant death for the patient. That is, until a ragtag group of doctors scattered across the Midwest and Texas decided to throw out the rule book. Working in makeshift laboratories and home garages, using medical devices made from scavenged machine parts and beer tubes, these men and women invented the field of open heart surgery. Odds are, someone you know is alive because of them. So why has history left them behind? Presented by Chris Pine, CARDIAC COWBOYS tells the gripping true story behind the birth of heart surgery, and the young, Greatest Generation doctors who made it happen.
