The Manila based and best selling science fiction author Katrina Olan is best known for her groundbreaking novel Tablay. Released in 2019, Tablay blends futuristic mecha warfare with Philippine mythology, reimagining creatures like the aswang as techno-organic adversaries in a dystopian future Manila. Beyond writing, she has a background in advertising, having crafted campaigns for major brands and represented the Philippines at the Cannes Lions Festival of Creativity in 2018. Her work continues to expand across mediums, with Tablay adapted into a graphic novel and other collaborative projects in development, solidifying her role as a leading voice in Filipino speculative fiction.
