Speaker 2 (01:20):
Peace World, and welcome to a special conversation for the Sportster.
My name is Adam Bernard, and I am here with
a man who needs no introduction, but I'm gonna give
it to you anyway. WWE Hall of Famer, AEW Champion,
the icon Sting.

Speaker 3 (01:32):
Sir, what a pleasure to meet you. Good to meet
you too, Thank you.

Speaker 4 (01:37):
I'm in the TNA Hall of Fame. Also Cauliflower Alley, yep,
Hall of Fame.

Speaker 3 (01:43):
Lots of Hall of Fame, lots of accolades.

Speaker 1 (01:45):
Here.

Speaker 3 (01:45):
We're here at Monster Mania in.

Speaker 2 (01:47):
Cherry Hill, New Jersey, right now, twenty twenty five or
never tour. Talk to me about the tour. How's it
been going so far? What's the experience been like?

Speaker 4 (01:56):
Man, I wish one of the guys was here.

Speaker 3 (02:00):
He was here just a little while ago. This guy
has showed up as surfer Sting.

Speaker 4 (02:05):
He's doing four different versions of Sting and he's doing
two more coming up.

Speaker 3 (02:10):
But yeah, so you got all the cosplay people. That's
a lot of fun.

Speaker 4 (02:13):
But you know what really hits me is the stories
that fans tell about being bullied as a kid and
how somehow or another I got them through it. You know,
the whole vigilante type character, I think.

Speaker 3 (02:27):
Is what did it. But so many people, you know,
you don't.

Speaker 4 (02:29):
Realize if you're not bullied, you don't realize just how
many people are bullied.

Speaker 3 (02:33):
And it's a real thing. And men and women.

Speaker 4 (02:36):
So you've got grown men and women my age, even older,
younger in tears telling me these stories. It's just it
blows my mind, it really does.

Speaker 3 (02:47):
It's quite amazing. I can tell you too.

Speaker 2 (02:49):
As a teenager, one of my favorite things in the
WCW stratosphere was the vigilantesting. You gave me a lot
of power as a kid. I was also a bullied
kid as well. I was overweight, didn't have a ton
of friends, but I knew watching you every week it
was a it was a wonderful experience, and I knew
it was some wanted to thank you for that.

Speaker 4 (03:06):
So wow, that means a lot. I mean, once again,
I hear it even you, I would have never known.

Speaker 3 (03:11):
I'm glad you shared that with me.

Speaker 2 (03:12):
Well, thank you for again. It's been amazing. What has
been the most memorable part for you, outside of the
conversations that you're having with people telling you their stories,
What's what else has been memorable and meaningful for you
on this tour?

Speaker 4 (03:26):
Gosh, I mean above and beyond that, I mean geez friends,
I mean seeing my buddies around.

Speaker 3 (03:32):
Of course, I mean Kevin. He's right over there, Kevin.

Speaker 4 (03:36):
Nash, my old wolf Pack buddy, Lex, I see him.
You know, I've seen so many of the guys from
from all over the place wwe tna aw. So it's
good seeing your old buddies, your old friends, and even
old wrestling fans as friends. Who there was one guy
that used to he used to really just heckle me.

(03:58):
You know. He was Philadelphia as a matter of fact,
and he'd be in the front row and he'd just
be I'd be on me, on me, on me. And
it took about thirty years of coming to Philadelphia, and
finally one day he was going, all right, It's like, oh,
I meet your approval finally after thirty years, you know.

(04:18):
But uh yeah, so, you know, seeing my buddies, I
suppose would be the next best thing.

Speaker 2 (04:23):
Now, this is the last time that a lot of
the fans will have to see you in the convention
scene with the warpaint on. What's one thing that maybe
you want to tell fans who possibly can't make it
out to one of these events, what's the one thing
you want them to know about your experience? Maybe overall
in general with your career.

Speaker 4 (04:38):
Well, a lot of fans will talk about how much
wrestling meant to them, how much my character meant to them,
like we've been talking about. And the thing that I
always say is, and it's true, is it was a
mutual thing. So they say thank you to me for
all the years, and I say thank you back for

(04:59):
all the years.

Speaker 3 (05:00):
And it was like a two way street. It was
a relationship.

Speaker 4 (05:04):
And so I was blessed just as much as they
were blessed. And sometimes I was pissed just like they
were pissed, you know. I mean, we have all of
our different emotions, but you know, overall, it's just amazing
to think that there is no Sting without the crowd, right.

Speaker 2 (05:22):
So yeah, Sting, thank you so much for your time.
It's an honor and a pleasure to speak with you.
Don't forget to check it out on his social media pages.
Twenty twenty five or never come and see Sting, get
your autographs, get your photos, and tell him how much
he means to him.

Speaker 3 (05:34):
My name is Adam Bernard, Sir A pleasure. It's showtime.
