Speaker 1 (01:53):
Peace World, and welcome back to another exclusive conversation on
the Takedown on SI.

Speaker 3 (01:57):
My name is Adam Bernard.

Speaker 1 (01:58):
Thank you so much for joining me and today my
guest needs no introduction, but I'm going to give her
one anyway. She's twenty twenty four. Is miss Money in
the Bank. Tiffany Stratton, how are you today?

Speaker 5 (02:07):
Good? How are you doing?

Speaker 1 (02:09):
I'm doing well. It's another sunny day here in Philadelphia.
I can't complain. We are gearing up for Crown Jewel
which is happening this Saturday, November two in rit of
Saudi Arabia. The big women's match it's happening at that time,
is going to be your friend Naya Jacks versus Live
Morgan for the inaugural Women's Crown Jewel Champion. I know
you're still kind of in Nia's corner and I saw
you had a attempted cash in Live Morgan the past

(02:32):
few weeks. Do you see yourself cashing in in this match?
And what's your attack plan.

Speaker 6 (02:37):
Of so, so, I can't reveal too much, obviously, I
would like for it to be.

Speaker 5 (02:42):
A surprise, but you know, I can say that I am.

Speaker 6 (02:46):
Going to be in Saudi Arabia Arabia, and I am
going to have pretty new gear.

Speaker 5 (02:54):
I will be backstage.

Speaker 6 (02:55):
I will be cheering on Naya jocks, and that's all
I'm going to say.

Speaker 3 (03:00):
That's fair. I like it. I keep it a little
bit mysterious.

Speaker 5 (03:03):
I like that.

Speaker 1 (03:03):
Yeah, I know that you debuted earlier this year in
February on the main roster, and then very quickly you
became a fan favorite favorite. You went you won the
Money in the Bank match in July. That's a pretty
remarkable accomplishment. What does that mean for you to have
so much movement and so much popularity so quickly.

Speaker 6 (03:21):
Yeah, it's been so amazing. Since being called up, I
definitely was.

Speaker 5 (03:25):
A little nervous. I felt a lot of pressure.

Speaker 6 (03:29):
Just because I'm new, Like I kind of got called
up with like nobody I didn't really have a group
of girls I got called up with, so it was
a fresh new start, and like I said, it was
nerve racking, but as you know, the TVs went on
as Australia happened, I kind of gained confidence and you know,

(03:49):
like I was really reassured by the crowd and by
the fans and stuff like that. And I definitely feel
like I've grown so much in the past year. Like
I feel like I've grown more in what is it
eight months since I've been called up then I had
in my entire two years being in NXT. So yeah,
it's been amazing.

Speaker 3 (04:08):
It's unbelievable.

Speaker 1 (04:08):
I remember the had Australia crowd just chanting Tiffy time,
and how popular you were in front of that crowd,
and how Louday booed when Live eliminated you. Obviously there's
some bad blood there, would imagine from that match, But
was there a moment where you were like kind of
taken aback as although that cheering was happening. I know
some performers have talked about this feeling of like, you know,
almost going into tunnel vision when you have a response

(04:29):
like that. Did that happen to you or were you
just like Nope, I'm staying the course, let's do it.

Speaker 5 (04:33):
Yes, it definitely did happen to me.

Speaker 6 (04:35):
I think there's even a video of me being like
what the heck and I was like.

Speaker 5 (04:39):
Okay, I'm just gonna go with it here.

Speaker 6 (04:41):
But there was definitely a moment too, Like at the
press conference before Australia, I remember Tivleh had just said
my name or I think it was Bianca that had
said my name, and the crowd just like started chanting
Tiffy time. I was like, okay, that's kind of cool.

Speaker 5 (04:56):
And then you know, being in the.

Speaker 6 (04:58):
Mat in the little thing and then hearing Tiffy timing
chanted like it was. It was so like I did
not expect that at all, Like I didn't even know
they were going to know who I was, you know,
So it was it was really cool.

Speaker 1 (05:13):
Now I know that you've you've in previous interviews you've
been complimentary of road Dog about his support of your
character work. Have you received any feedback from him since
being on the main roster and so how have you
implemented that or has he just been no, this is fantastic,
keep doing what you're doing.

Speaker 6 (05:28):
Yeah, he is a very like he He definitely is like, no,
you're doing amazing, like, don't change anything, like your character.

Speaker 5 (05:37):
Is developing so well.

Speaker 6 (05:38):
He's just kind of been cheering me on as we go,
and I think he's very proud of me and.

Speaker 5 (05:43):
Where my character is at.

Speaker 6 (05:44):
So yeah, he's just been cheering me on, and yeah,
it's awesome.

Speaker 1 (05:50):
I know in my research today before a conversation, I
read that you were trained by Greg Ganyak, who is,
you know, a legend in the professional wrestling world. What
was the biggest lesson or the biggest piece of advice
that you learned from him, and how did you implement
that in your career.

Speaker 6 (06:04):
He definitely he taught me a lot about wrestling adequette
and shaking people's hands and and just like.

Speaker 5 (06:13):
Trying to He told me to always be a.

Speaker 6 (06:16):
Sponge and always listen to whoever is giving you advice
and coaching you and use it and like, you know,
implement it if.

Speaker 5 (06:26):
You think that it applies to you. But he always just.

Speaker 6 (06:29):
Kind of taught me to be respectful and you know,
be super coachable is like the biggest one as well,
just being coachable and yeah, and I think that's helped
a lot.

Speaker 1 (06:42):
Recently, you had a you know, a unique partnership within
the past few weeks with Rhea Ripley. I know that
that was kind of a you know, very interesting scenario
for you. Is it possible that well you will see
this unlikely doo again in the future in any capacity.

Speaker 6 (06:58):
I have no idea, uh, but I would love for
it to happen again. I think we have such a
cool dynamic. It's like so completely different, and I think people.

Speaker 5 (07:08):
Love the idea as well. I see all the people's
Twitter memes so like that.

Speaker 6 (07:15):
So I think I would hope that they do something
with me and Ria again.

Speaker 5 (07:20):
I think that'd be so fun and so cool and
such a different dynamics. So we'll have to wait and see.

Speaker 3 (07:27):
It was very much for me.

Speaker 1 (07:28):
It was like, I think my exact words were, okay,
so this is Wednesday Adams meets Alicia Silverstone and clueless.
I was like this, I think this is really going
to work. This is going to be very oppressive.

Speaker 5 (07:36):
So I agree. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (07:38):
One of my favorite things about you know, your performance
in the ring is the prettiest moonsalt ever.

Speaker 3 (07:43):
It's a very athletic move.

Speaker 1 (07:44):
I remember being like really impressed by this how did
you end up landing with that finisher? And is there
ever a moment where you're concerned about nailing it? You're
concerned about making sure you hit the entire process, Like,
are you ever concerned? I was asked those people to
ask wrestlers this question just because in a second you
could be you know, in the wrong space, or you

(08:06):
could not make the revolution over top. Tell me more
about that process, how you landed with that finisher, and
what the response has been for that.

Speaker 6 (08:14):
So I kind of I got the idea from my boyfriend.

Speaker 5 (08:19):
He showed me, like the BME the bouncing.

Speaker 6 (08:23):
And I thought it was cool because I it related
to my past or my gymnastics quite a bit, because
it's not just doing like a normal moonsalt. You've got
to balance up the ropes and stuff like that. And
I was a trampoline gymnast, so like bouncing and stuff
like that like I'm very familiar with. So that's basically
why I chose the PME.

Speaker 5 (08:44):
And I do.

Speaker 6 (08:45):
Get nervous sometimes, you know, after it's been like a
twenty minute match, and my legs feel like they're jello.
That's why sometimes you see my legs like split on.

Speaker 5 (08:55):
The ropes when I go for it, because my.

Speaker 6 (08:57):
Legs are so fatigue, I'm just like just throw myself over.

Speaker 5 (09:02):
But back in NXC, I used to hit it so
much more. I haven't.

Speaker 6 (09:06):
I haven't hit the PME in a really long time
being called up.

Speaker 5 (09:10):
It's been like four months, I think.

Speaker 6 (09:11):
So the next time I hit it, I'm definitely gonna
be very nervous too.

Speaker 5 (09:15):
It's mostly the rope.

Speaker 6 (09:16):
Jumps, Like after I hear the last one, I'm fine,
But it's the jumping up the rope.

Speaker 5 (09:22):
That's kind of scary.

Speaker 6 (09:25):
But yeah, I've definitely It's definitely a scary move for.

Speaker 3 (09:28):
Sure, now I know.

Speaker 6 (09:30):
You know.

Speaker 1 (09:30):
Obviously speaking about NXT, we talked about even touched on
a little bit here. Uh, they just announced recently. I'm
a Philly guy, so I got to mention this. They're
going to be at the twenty three hundred Arena, the
ECW Arena on November six, just shortly after Crown Jewel.

Speaker 3 (09:43):
What does it mean for you to see NXT grow
in this way?

Speaker 1 (09:46):
Obviously they've they've announced this new partnership with the CW.
What does it mean for you to see the brand
grow in this way? And obviously I have to ask,
is there any potential for a tippy tippy time surprise
at the ECW Arena.

Speaker 6 (10:00):
Well, I think NXC is doing so amazing right now.
They have so many like especially in the women's division,
they have so many upcoming girls that could be potential,
like like top girls, Like they're not just like okay
and like like like you.

Speaker 5 (10:14):
Know, getting by, They're they're really good.

Speaker 6 (10:17):
So I'm super I'm super happy for NXT, like them
being on the road again is amazing.

Speaker 5 (10:25):
And you'll have to wait and see.

Speaker 6 (10:26):
You know, maybe I'm a little bit tired after Sawdy Arabia.
Maybe I won't go and pop in at ec or
at the UCW Arena, or maybe I will.

Speaker 5 (10:35):
You'll have to wait and see.

Speaker 1 (10:37):
Well, I'm looking forward to it. What you'll be You'll
be welcomed in Philly here, that's for sure. Now my
last question for you here before we wrap up. I
know there's been some discussion online. There's been a lot
of chatter about a potential face off and a potential
program between you and Charlotte Flair when she returns. And
I know that WrestleMania forty one is in the not
so distant future. Could you see Charlotte Flair being your

(10:57):
opponent at WrestleMania forty one, or did you somebody else
in mind?

Speaker 5 (11:02):
I definitely totally can see that.

Speaker 6 (11:05):
I would love for that to happen, and I hope
for that to happen, whether it's this Mania or the
following mania, I would love for it to happen. So
I guess we'll have to wait and see you. I
think she comes back soon. I'm not even not even
sure where she is, so we'll have to wait and

(11:25):
see you.

Speaker 5 (11:27):
Well.

Speaker 1 (11:27):
Like I said, Crown Jewel is happening this Saturday, November second,
from rit of Saudi Arabia. Start time is one pm
Eastern ten am Pacific time. Check your local listings. Tiffany Stratton,
thank you so much for your time. I really appreciate
it and look forward to seeing you potentially in Saudi
Arabia this weekend.

Speaker 5 (11:44):
Thank you, thanks for having me.
