And people get very passionate about their preferences. So I thought, what better way to celebrate the season than with a full-on summer hot take showdown? Naturally, I had to bring in my partner in spicy opinions, my hilarious friend Ivy Boyd.

We pulled some of the wildest summer takes from Reddit and talked through each one, laughing our way through fireworks, parades, popsicles, and the very controversial question of whether ketchup belongs on a hot dog. Also, yes, you’ll hear the childhood impersonation that made me think I was either destined for podcasting or phone sex.
