Most of the time, when somebody says that
something is dead, it reallymeans they want you to do the
new thing, to put them at thefront of the line.
Right, because things that areworking work, right, they'll
continue to work.
You know, like people say, totalk on the phone is dead, but
what happens is individuals getinto a business or they get into

a field and it's dominated, amethodology is dominated by
somebody else, right, and sowhat happens is, you know,
because of how technology works,a new thing comes along, right.
And so when that new thingcomes along, you know, people
will often say stuff like youknow, the old way is dead, and
that's because they're trying toremove the quote-unquote

industry leader so that they canbe put at the front of the line
.

think you know I wanted to talkabout.
You know something I hearpeople say all the time X, y, z
is dead.
X Y Z is dead.
Yo, that's dead.
I mean essentially.
So here's the trick, right?
It's a marketing trick, right?
I'm going to give y'all alittle tip to the back Most of
the time, when somebody saysthat something is dead, it
really means they want you to dothe new thing, to put them at

the front of the line.
Right, because things that areworking work right.
They'll continue to work.
You know, like people say, totalk on the phone is dead.
It's not.
Telemarketers still exist.
But what happens is individualsget into a business or they get
into a field and it's dominated.
A methodology is dominated bysomebody else, right?

And so what happens is, youknow, because of how technology
works, a new thing comes alongright.
And so when that new thingcomes along, you know, people
will often say stuff, like youknow, the old way is dead and
that's because they're trying toremove the quote unquote
industry leader so that they canbe put at the front of the line
.
They're like well, this is dead, that is dead.

Like people say, email is dead.
Email is not dead.
People check the email everyday, but what they're trying to
do is get you to use the way andthe methodology that they use
to market, right.
So you know, no matter whatyou're doing, no matter what
you're a part of, you're goingto hear somebody say it's dead.
And that's to get you to pivot.

(02:34):
But stay focused.
If you have a methodology thatis working, just let it work.
You know, find somebody who'sdoing it and who's doing it well
, and follow them.
Like even this video which saysinsert XYZ is dead, that's dead
.
Like saying stuff is dead isdead.
The reason I'm saying it myselfis to put me at the front of the
line.
So you hit me up and say, well,what's the live, carl?

(02:56):
You know, say so, send me atext, send me email, send me a
DM.
Like what's the live inbusiness?
What helps you know, what movesforward?
You know.
Like you know.
And now there may be methodsthat work better now.
Like, for instance, email, youknow, at the very highest level,
gets about a 10% open rate, butSMS texting gets about.

(03:16):
I think it's almost a 97% overrate.
That doesn't mean email is dead.
That just means you have to bemore effective when using email,
because email is still cheaperthan texting, you know.
So that's kind of how you wantto look at stuff.
So you know, don't let peoplejumping, jumping in and jumping
on saying that something thatyou do is dead.

(03:37):
Let you bury it Right.
They're doing it to positionthemselves to move forward.
Now I'm going to tell you this.
So, as I just said, using thephrase that something, something
, something is dead is dead, yes, what that means, it's not dead
.
So use it Exactly, use themethodology.

What are you doing?

Marley, you want to have thepeople?

but you know it's not.
So what I want you to do now istake every methodology that you
have, everything that you dothat you know has been working,
and work on it.
Now, if you need to dosomething, implement something
new, bringing somebody, do that,but never kill off what's been
working of.
You know you may scale it backand all of that.

But emails not dead.
Going live is not dead.
Webinars are not dead.
None of that stuff is dead,it's still work.
Snail mail it's not dead.
If you do it right, it'llalways work.
That's, that's what I wanted totalk about today.
