In this compelling episode of “From Principles to Practice,” Apostle Dr. Ivon Valerie sits down with Dr. Ann Marlin Evans, a life coach, accountant, and ordained evangelist making significant strides in the community of Sint. Maaetin. Titled “Rejected, Bullied, Raped, & Jailed; BUT Community,” this episode is the first part of a two-part series where Dr. Ivon Valerie sits down with Dr. Evans to discuss her incredible journey of overcoming immense adversity.

Dr. Evans recounts her childhood, where she faced rejection even before birth, suffered severe bullying, endured rape, and her experience in jail. She vividly describes the hardships she encountered, including the shame associated with her husband’s notoriety as a drug dealer and the harrowing experiences she witnessed in jail. Despite these overwhelming challenges, Dr. Evans highlights the transformative power of her faith-based community, particularly her church, which played a pivotal role in her recovery and success after being jailed and losing everything.

Today, Dr. Evans is an influential advisor to politicians in the government and parliament of Sint. Maarten and she lead impactful projects like “Scars to Stars,” dedicated to protecting the next generation. Tune in to hear her powerful testimony of resilience, faith, and the undeniable importance of community in overcoming life’s toughest battles.
