The anticipation of the pain of grief can lead to an intense fear of loss that can color the way we move through the world. Trying to hold onto what we perceive as what is ours can make us self centered and unaware of the ways we perpetuate harm and sabotage connection and collective healing. In this episode, Dr. Jenn talks with Breeshia Wade about the connection between grief, loss, fear and love.
Breeshia Wade is the author of the 2021 publication, Grieving While Black: An Antiracist Take on Oppression and Sorrow, which was rated one of the best 9 books on grief, and is currently required reading in multiple university graduate courses. CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist
It’s 1996 in rural North Carolina, and an oddball crew makes history when they pull off America’s third largest cash heist. But it’s all downhill from there. Join host Johnny Knoxville as he unspools a wild and woolly tale about a group of regular ‘ol folks who risked it all for a chance at a better life.
