After much discussion with Job by his friends in an effort to determine the cause of why the things which happened unto him did occur, the Lord answered. Jesus was asked by a scribe what is the first commandment. Jesus answered that to love the Lord thy God with all the heart, soul, mind, and strength and thy neighbor as thyself. The Sadducees confronted Jesus concerning marriage in the resurrection. In reality, the Sadducees did not believe in the resurrection; thereby exposing their true motive as a mockery of truth and a perpetuation of their erroneous doctrine.
