Hello everyone and welcome toWrong to Strong two Minute
Devotional.
My name is Omar Calvillo, Firstof all, happy Father's Day to
(00:54):
all the men out there, those whohave been chosen by God.
To take care of his children.
So much props to you you see thesign behind me, it's, uh,
congratulations 2025 to all thegraduates.
Uh, may God bless you.
May God continue to lead you toguide you.
Uh, we just finishedcelebrating.
My youngest son's graduation.
(01:15):
He just graduated high schooland he's on his way to, uh,
college.
Uh, me and my wife were talkingrecently.
Both me and my wife didn't getto, uh, graduate high school and
all three of our children have, graduated high school and now,
uh, have gone to college or ontheir way to college.
One of our goals as parents, asfathers.
Should be to see that ourchildren surpass us.
(01:37):
I heard, someone once say thatour ceiling should be like the
floor or like the foundationfrom which they build.
So that should be one of ourdesires as fathers to see our
children excel and to grow, toprosper.
Uh, one of the ways we do thatis by us drawing close to our
Heavenly Father seeking Him,praying, having that
(01:57):
relationship with'Him maybe wecould impart some of that to our
children.
Uh, today, as I was reading mydaily devotional in the morning,
I came across one scripture in,uh, one Thessalonians chapter
two.
These are verses 11 thru 12, andthis is the Apostle Paul
speaking.
He says, for you know that wedealt with each of you as a
father, deals with his ownchildren.
(02:20):
Encouraging, comforting andurging you to live lives worthy
of God, who calls you into hiskingdom and glory.
When I read this, it reminded methat these are three things that
our Heavenly Father does for usthrough His word, through His
Spirit, what does he do for us?
He encourages us.
He comforts us.
(02:41):
Not only that, he urges us tolive lives worthy of the calling
that he has upon our lives.
That's three things that weshould be doing in the lives of
our children.
They should be hearing andseeing us encouraging them,
speaking words of life intothem.
Second thing, comforting them.
You know, our children gothrough a lot, just like we went
(03:01):
through some things.
We should be there to comfortthem, to hug them, to, to be a
listening ear for them.
Just to be, present for ourchildren to let'em know that we
care and that we love them.
Three, we should be urging themto live the lives worthy of God
who calls not only us, but theminto his kingdom and glory So
(03:22):

and very happy Father's Day, onbehalf of all the"From Wrong To
