In this two-minute devotional by Shawn Rae, Pastor at "Wrong To Strong", based in Colorado, he reflects on the true source of freedom found in Jesus Christ, especially fitting during the 4th of July weekend. Despite life's struggles, Sean reminds listeners of God's constant goodness and presence through Psalm 77:11-12. He encourages reflecting on God's past miracles to find hope, comfort, and strength. Welcome to the Wrong to Strongtwo Minute Devotional.
Each week we're blessed to havea new guest share a powerful
scripture and a word ofencouragement to ignite your
spirit and feel your journey offaith.
Let these messages inspire andstrengthen you as you grow
closer to God, stay strong, keepthe faith, and let's grow

(00:23):
together.
We're on a mission from God,from darkness to light and from
wrong to strong.
Good morning everyone.
Sean over here at, uh, wrong andStrong Colorado.
Wanted to share this two minutedevotional this morning with you
guys.
Uh, I was just reminded as wewere going through this 4th of
July weekend and we werecelebrating our independence and
our freedom as a country.

(00:44):
Uh, I just pray that we weretruly reflecting.
And reminding of the truefreedom that we have that is
founded only in our Lord andSavior Jesus Christ.
And so I know many of us aregoing through many different
struggles and many differentcircumstances and situations and
trials in this season that we'regoing through.
And so the verses that God puton my heart.
Are just a reminder, right?

(01:04):
They're a reminder to know thatGod is still good and he's still
present and he's still availableno matter what it is that we are
going through.
So the verses I'm sharing withyou this morning are outta Psalm
77.
Now I encourage you to go readthis entire Psalm that, so that
you can get context behind whatthe Psalm is talking about.
Specifically what I wanted tohighlight with the verses out of

(01:26):
uh, verses Psalm 77, 11 and 12,it says, I will remember the
works of the Lord.
Surely I will remember yourwonders of old.
I will also meditate on all yourwork and talk of your good
deeds.
So, as I was saying, I know manyof us are struggling and we're
dealing with many differentcircumstances in our life,

(01:47):
right, right now.
But this psalm particularly isjust a reminder for those of us
to reflect and to remindourselves of all the amazing
works that God has done in ourlife.
Uh, all of the consistentlythroughout the Old Testament, we
see God delivering his peopleout of the land of Egypt and out

(02:07):
of the enemy's handsconsistently over.
And.
Over and over.
We get to see God's mercy in theancient Israelites lives, but we
also get to apply that to ourown lives.
So myself, as I sit and I thinkabout all of these things that
I'm dealing with, and I'mcontemplating how I'm supposed
to handle these situations.
The one thing that God keepsreminding me to do is to reflect

(02:30):
and to remember all of theamazing things that, and the
miracles that he's done in myown personal life.
And anytime I get discouraged orI think that things aren't gonna
work out the way that they'resupposed to, I'm reminded of all
of the mountains that God hasmoved in my life.
And it gives me hope, it givesme comfort, and it gives me
peace to know that God haspeace.

(02:52):
Absolutely everything incontrol.
No matter what we think, nomatter what we're going through,
God is with you.
He is guiding you, and he willgive you the strength to deal
with whatever it is that you'regoing through.
So just remember, remindyourself, meditate on all the
amazing miracles that God hasdone for you in your life, and I
promise you he'll give it thestrength to endure whatever it

(03:14):
is.
That you're going through inyour life today.
God bless you guys.
We love you as we go into thisyear.
I pray that you guys are filledwith hope and you are filled
with the comfort and you arefilled with the spirit of God
'cause it's only the spirit ofGod that can help see us through
these situations.
Love you, God bless.
Take care.
