Welcome to the Wrong to Strongtwo Minute Devotional.
Each week we're blessed to havea new guest share a powerful
scripture and a word ofencouragement to ignite your
spirit and feel your journey offaith.
Let these messages inspire andstrengthen you as you grow
closer to God, stay strong, keepthe faith, and let's grow

(00:23):
together.
We're on a mission from God,from darkness to light and from
wrong to strong.
This is Pastor Rocky coming fromDallas, Texas, this is wrong to
Strong Two Minute Devotional.
Today I'm coming from Matthew28.
Verses 18 to the end, which is20.
This is Jesus giving the lastinstructions to which many

(00:46):
theologians call the GreatCommission.
So he's giving theseinstructions to the first
century disciples as well as toyou, and I.
So he says, all authority hasbeen given to me, both in heaven
and in earth.
Therefore, go and make disciplesof all nations.
Baptizing them in the name ofthe Father, the Son, and the

(01:07):
Holy Spirit teaching them toobserve all that have commanded
you and Lord, and which youalways, even to the end of this
age, So what Jesus is doing ishe's, he's telling these
disciples that the work mustcontinue.
Here's two mistakes that we, thechurch, the disciples of today
have been making for a very longtime.

(01:29):
We're not to just jump on anairplane and go to a.
Third world country wherever, tell people about Jesus and then
come back home and, and live,uh, life as we, uh, left it.
No, it's, it's somethingdifferent is what he's saying.
He's saying, go, yes, go wherethe people are at.
That's your backyard, that'syour neighborhood, that's the

(01:50):
community.
That's your state.
That's your nation.
And if he calls you otherplaces, then.
You are to go, but he says, goand make disciples.
Now, the other mistake that wemake is we don't make disciples.
Instead, we get converts.
Just put your faith in JesusChrist is what we say.

(02:11):
Right?
And you are a brother or asister in Christ and we never
see them again.
That's not what he told us todo.
He says, go and make disciplesmaking disciples.
Is where the rubber meets theroad.
It's what I like to call rollingup your sleeve, ministry,
getting in the trenches andworking with people and pouring
into people and making sure thatthey're growing in their faith.

(02:36):
So that's the hard part, but.
He says, baptize them in thename of the Father, the son and
the Holy Spirit teaching them, you are walking with them,
you're working with them, teaching them to observe all
that I've commanded you, and hesays, lo and which you always
until the end of the age.
In other words, you don't do itin your own strength.
In your own power.

(02:56):
He's there to not only guideyou, but to lead you in how to
do this.
And he gives us the strength todo this.
I am Pastor Rocky.
This is wrong to strong.
God bless you and God keep you.
