Omar Calvillo shares a two-minute devotional focused on the significance of light in the Bible, starting with Genesis 1:2-3. He explains how God solved the problem of darkness first in creation and parallels this to the spiritual need for the light of Jesus Christ. Omar emphasizes that salvation transforms believers from darkness into light. He encourages self-reflection on whether one is living in Jesus' light and calls for stepping out of confusion, fear, or sin into the light. He ends with a blessing and reminder of the transformational mission of 'From Wrong To Strong.'

Speaker (00:00):
Hello family.
This is Omar Calvillo sharingwith you this week's two minute
devotional.
Our scripture for today isGenesis chapter one, verses two
to three.
The Bible says Now the earth wasformless and empty.
Darkness was all over thesurface of the deep, and the
spirit of God was hovering overthe waters and God said.
Let there be light and there waslight.

(00:22):
The very first problem Godsolved in creation was the
problem of darkness.
Before there were plants, animals, or even people, God
spoke light.
Why?
Because nothing can grow.
Nothing can live.
Nothing can flourish in thedark, and that hasn't changed.
Spiritually the greatest need wehave is for the light of Jesus

(00:44):
Christ.
In John eight, verse 12, Jesusdeclared, I am the light of the
world.
He who follows me shall not walkin darkness, but have the light
of life.
That means without him we'restumbling, lost, blind and
vulnerable in the dark.
But with him, everythingchanges.

(01:04):
He exposes lies.
He guides our steps.
He gives us clarity, and hebrings life where there was only
emptiness.
Darkness hides, light reveals.
Darkness confuses, lightdirects.
Darkness kills, light giveslife.
Matthew 4:16 declares The peoplewho sat in darkness have seen a

(01:26):
great light, and upon those whosat in the region and shadow of
death, light has dawned.
That's the heart of the gospeland the heartbeat of our
ministry pointing people to thatgreat light.
Who is Christ! Ephesians fiveeight echoes the same truth For
you we're once darkness, but nowyou are.
Light in the Lord.

(01:47):
Walk as children of the light.
Salvation doesn't just forgive.
It transforms.
God takes us from darkness tolight, from death to life, from
wrong to strong.
This is why our mission is fromdarkness to light, because the
story of salvation is not justabout being forgiven, it's about
being transferred.

(02:08):
Colossians 1:13 says, for he hasrescued us from the dominion of
darkness and brought us into thekingdom of the Son he loves.
That's the journey every one ofus is on.
Out of the shadows and into thelight of Christ.
So today, ask yourself, am Iliving in the light of Jesus or

(02:28):
am I still clinging to theshadows?
If you've been walking inconfusion, fear, or sin, step
into the light.
Open your heart to Jesus becausewhere his light shines, darkness
has no choice but to flee.
This has been your from wrong tostrong two minute devotional.
God bless you and I'll see younext time.
My name is Omar Calvillo, and Iam wrong, too strong.
