The article dives into estimating new eligibilty and cost for expanded medicare covererage of GL P1 agonists for cardiovascular risk prevention, a topic directly impacting the patients we care for at Eventus—vulnerable individuals in long-term care. These estimates are being made after the findings of the SELECT trial published its findings in 2024 that showed that semaglutide reduces cardiovascular events in certain patients without diabetes.
