Ericka Stahl, reconocida científica panameña y doctora con especialización en fitofármacos y cannabis medicinal. La Dra. Arboleda Castro, médica y cirujana, anestesióloga y especialista en medicina del dolor y cuidados paliativos; posee además un Fellowship clínico en anestesia regional de la Universidad de McGill, Montreal, Canadá y cuenta además con un postdoctorado en investigación en Cuidados de Soporte en Cáncer y Cannabis Medicinal, de la Universidad de McGill y Santé Cannabis, clínica especializada en la prescripción de cannabis medicinal en la provincia de Quebec, Canadá. En la actualidad, es co-investigadora en varios proyectos de investigación que se llevan a cabo en Canadá, en particular: el desarrollo de un ensayo clínico, fase II que estudia la eficacia y seguridad de cápsulas, con diferentes formulaciones y dosis de aceite de cannabis, en pacientes con dolor crónico oncológico y no oncológico, y el primer estudio fase III, a nivel mundial, en evaluar el efecto y la seguridad de un producto farmacéutico de cannabis inhalado, en la calidad de vida.
