The coronavirus pandemic has affected so many small businesses and franchises during the year of 2020 in a variety of ways. Today we are joined by Danielle Carreau Mikolay, the owner of The Little Gym of Roxbury in Ledgewood, New Jersey to talk about her work as a franchise owner and what this uncertain period has been like for their kids' gym. When her husband first suggested the idea of running a branch of The Little Gym, it seemed like a crazy idea to Danielle, but as she explains, after some marination and a moment of realization, she found herself in love with the idea. We chat about the lessons her children can learn witnessing the running of a business, how she balances work at the gym with the responsibilities of being a mother, and of course, we get into the changes that have happened in this strange year. From outdoor classes to online events, The Little Gym of Roxbury has had to make serious adjustments in order to keep serving and stay afloat. Listen in with us today for this great conversation!
