Join us as we unpack our whirlwind adventure through Brisbane, from the vibrant gay scene to unexpected housekeeping surprises that had us laughing till it hurt. We'll take you along on our journey as we leave the cruise ship behind and jump into Brisbane's nightlife, beginning with our original plan to stay at the lively Sporties Bar. Despite a hiccup in accommodations, we found ourselves at Riverside, where the pool was inviting, even if the room wasn't quite up to par. Along the way, we share the delightful chaos and camaraderie that filled our days, all while teasing some exciting new segments for Fully Grown Homos inspired by friends and cheeky Grindr chats.

Crikey! Strap in for a wild ride as we recount our day at the Australia Zoo, where Robert Irwin himself stole the show with some daring croc antics. From munching on scrumptious meat pies to being chauffeured by our fabulous hosts, V and Vince, in their snazzy ride, Brisbane's charm truly worked its magic on us. Shopping aficionados will appreciate our tales from Westfield Chermside, where high-end meets everyday in a unique blend that kept us on our toes. And who knew a bus driver's friendly advice could make navigating public transport such an amusing escapade?

Our escapades continue as Brisbane reveals its hidden gems, with serendipitous encounters leading us on delightful detours. From sauna escapades in Brunswick to the artistic allure of Fortitude Valley, our story is filled with unexpected twists and cultural discoveries. We'll take you to Studio on Brunswick, introduce you to the passionate Lyn Tilt, and marvel at Emma Daruzet's mesmerizing art. Before we wrap up, we share tales from Felons, the casino, and an opulent new gallery. This vibrant cityscape beckons us back, eager to uncover even more of Brisbane's urban charm and spirited vibe.

Fully Grown Homos with Dave and Matt, and on

(01:00):
today's show we're going to do awrap up of our holiday.
It feels like again.
It feels like months sincewe've been back from holidays
now because it is, but we'vebeen busy boys, haven't we?
Dave?

Speaker 2 (01:11):
We certainly have Matt.

Speaker 1 (01:12):
But we're going to wrap.
We're going to wrap Brisbane.

Speaker 2 (01:15):
Yep, and then we'll be back to doing normal
podcasting after this.

Speaker 1 (01:19):
Yeah which will be really strange and interesting.

Speaker 2 (01:22):
Because we're going build up some topics yeah, we're
gonna also um some excitingstuff coming.
Yeah, we're gonna change itaround a little bit.

Speaker 1 (01:28):
You know, I've got some people on grinder that have
suggested suggestions for us.
Yep um, which is going to?

Speaker 2 (01:34):
be quite fun, and other friends have asked us to
do other things as well, othersegments and stuff that we can
maybe introduce and have a goand see what it sounds like.
Yeah, so we're gonna have a bitof fun.

Speaker 1 (01:42):
But before we do that , let's get to Brisbane, so we
get off the ship.
All right For those that areplaying along at home.
We finally get off the ship, which is really sad because
we're leaving some great friendsbehind.

Speaker 2 (01:52):
And that was the 1st of December.
God, I know, I remember.
Fuck Jesus.

Speaker 1 (02:05):
It's our Christmas, our new year, since a long time
ago.
But we've been busy, we've done, we've been very, very busy
doing lots of stuff, lots ofstuff.
But we get off the ship.
We headed into brisbane town.
We were going to meet up withsome friends from the ship later
on um, we did which we did, yeah, um, at a bar called, oh my
god, the gay bar in br, theSports Bar, the Sporties.

(02:25):
Yeah, sporties Bar, right.
So in my efforts to make surethat we were nice and local, I
booked the Sporties because it'sgot accommodation above it.

Speaker 2 (02:36):
Now, this is just a bar, isn't it?

Speaker 1 (02:38):
It's a bar.
It's a cool little gay bar.
It's a very cool bar.
I want to just point out.
It's a great little bar, awesome food, fantastic food,
great drag show, great vibe.
However, we got there A littlebit early, a bit early, and we
were sitting out the front andagain realised that this is

(02:59):
definitely the area we wanted tostay, because there were some
hot men walking around, definitely, and we thought it
was going to be cruisy as hell.
So we definitely want to thearea we wanted to stay because
there were some hot men walkingaround, definitely, and we
thought it was going to becruisy as hell.
So we definitely wanted to stayin this area.
We got there super early.
The accommodation wasn't evenopen for check-ins or anything
at all yet, so we decided we'dduck up to a little cafe, which
again we noticed, was a veryinclusive cafe.

(03:20):
There was a trans lady sittingbeside us and another cool chick
.
Um, again, one could assume itwas a lesbian, but who knows?
Because we were in that reallycool part of the city where
everyone just accepted everyoneand had a great time, had a good
coffee there, and did we have asnack?
I don't know.
Anyway, we didn't have any, um,but we had a great coffee there

(03:41):
and it was really nice.
And then we got close to timeand so we headed back towards
the place where we were going tostay, above Sporty's, there in
a little hotel room, and Iwalked in and the guy that was
sort of doing all the checkingthe bar manager, all that kind
of stuff I'd said to him oh,does it get here?

(04:02):
And he looked out and he seenhow much luggage and he said it
doesn't not get noisy, right?
And he looked at how muchluggage we had and he said you
probably don't necessarily wantto stay here with that much
luggage.
He said it's pretty small rooms, it's very basic, it's very

(04:23):
simple.
It's just not anything thatyou're going to really be
comfortable in.
He said do you want me to checkyou out?
She said yes please yes please, and thank you for your honesty.
So again, it was really goodbecause he was really honest
about, I guess, theaccommodation that we
potentially were going to stayin and steered us away.
So then we got in line and welooked around at a few other

(04:48):
places and they found a placecalled Riverside which again
looked nice and neat and cleanand reasonably priced.
So we jumped in an Uber andheaded down to Riverside and we
got there and it was.
It was nice, it was neat, itwas clean, had a pool, had a
pool I used once.
Did I use that pool?

Speaker 2 (05:05):
No, I didn't even use that pool once, damn.

Speaker 1 (05:07):
Yeah, Next time no we won't say that.

Speaker 2 (05:09):
Well, we viewed a few people in the pool?
Yeah, we did, because ourbalcony overlooked the pool.
Our balcony overlooked the pool.

Speaker 1 (05:22):
It was shit, yeah, okay, okay.
So there was some rubbish onthe floor when we walked into
the hotel Not rubbish that we'dleft behind, but rubbish that.
So it hadn't really beencleaned.
The sheets looked clean.

Speaker 2 (05:34):
Everything looked clean?

Speaker 1 (05:35):
Yeah, it was presentable, big enough room,
but that piece of paper, whichwas like from a lolly wrapper or
something like that, was stillon the floor when we checked out
.
When we checked out, eventhough we'd gone down to a
reception and said hey, can youreplace the toilet roll, please,
and the tissues, and becausethey're down to like next to

(05:56):
nothing, and could you maybe getthe cleaner to run a vacuum
over?
Yep, and she said, oh yeah,I'll send somebody up.
And we went back that night.
Nah weren't there.

Speaker 2 (06:07):
But we also learned the lesson on the first day,
didn't we?
About the towels as well, because, yeah, well, we, we hung
them up yeah, because you dothat you don't leave things
lying on the floor.

Speaker 1 (06:15):
I don't leave things lying on the floor in my home.
No right, um, but the policystates that's.
It's safe that if you hang themup, leave them on the floor if
you want them changed.
Um, so every day after that, wejust threw them on the floor.

Speaker 2 (06:27):
It was like quite because who wants a wet towel
after you've had a shower,especially when you're having
two showers?

Speaker 1 (06:31):
because the humidity tons of showers.

Speaker 2 (06:33):
But yeah, but otherwise yes, I'll go back
there and stay there again forsure, yeah, it was nice and neat
, it was very good location wise, yeah, um and yeah so it was a
good place, had some greatlittle places around it.
So we booked in there and thenwe headed back to the sports bar
later that evening, didn't we?
Because we were meeting Garyand one of Gary's friends, yep,
that lived in Brisbane as well.
John didn't want to comebecause he wasn't feeling very

(06:55):
well, because he'd caught thatbug on the ship, so you know it
turned out to be pneumonia.
Pneumonia he had, I think, oneday, I think he had pneumonia
anyway, he had a bit rough.

Speaker 1 (07:04):
Yeah, yeah, so it wasn't.

Speaker 2 (07:05):
I can sympathize because I was.
I wasn't feeling too goodmyself.
It wasn't up to it but but.

Speaker 1 (07:09):
So we met up with gary and another friend and we
watched the um the drag showvery good phenomenal drag my
favorite was the little shortone.

Speaker 2 (07:18):
Yeah, I can't remember.
I think you said she might havegone in for your trans.
Yeah, she's transitioning, so Imean considering it was the
first time back for her, likeshe was saying to us after we
got to speak to her so good.
But I just enjoyed her act.
I thought she was amazing.
I enjoyed all of it.
But her in particular was likeyou know, she was amazing.
I can't remember I should have.

(07:39):
We'll find out.
Yeah, we'll tag her that andthen, yeah, we'll recommend,
we'll do recommendations.

Speaker 1 (07:45):
Like I said, to all these things.
I'll put up a whole post oneday when I get my ass into gear
um but um, because it's my job, matt, to do the social media
stuff.
Um, that's my job, dave's, justto sit here, look pretty and
talk and say urinal wrong.
Um, and carrot and carrot anddo things with carrots but
brisbane, all right.
So my love for this place isjust enormous now as an overall

(08:10):
city, right from start to finish, before we delve into all our
little details and naughtylittle fiascos that we had while
we were there, um, and funstuff that we had and things
that we did with friends.
I loved it.

Speaker 2 (08:25):
I loved it.
I'd never been to Brisbaneitself, I'd been through it 30
years ago I'd driven through iton the way to the Sunshine Coast
and I'd been down to the GoldCoast, both areas I loved very
much so.
But to go and stay in Brisbanewas a completely different take
and like you, matt, I mean I wasblown away with the place.

(08:47):
For me, it's definitely set meoff thinking of, you know, maybe
even moving up there in a fewyears' time.
No, maybes definitely.
Well, we've got to check outthe place first and stuff like
that.
But look, I mean the potentialof being up there.
I 100% agree with people thathave moved up there and I've got
some friends that moved thererecently as well.

(09:08):
But just the vibe, the feeling, the ease of the city.

Speaker 1 (09:13):
There's something to do at all times of the day,
whether it's morning, whetherit's night, like it's a really
nice city to walk around overnighttime.

Speaker 2 (09:20):
It is, and of a night time it is.
You don't have to be locatedright in the city to appreciate
it, but for me, the city itselfcompared to.
I love Sydney.

Speaker 1 (09:30):
The city's got so much I do but.

Speaker 2 (09:33):
I think Sydney's becoming very overcrowded and I
find sometimes when I'm in thecity in Sydney this is you know
itself I find overwhelmed withthe amount of people walking
around and it's just like chaossometimes.
You know I mean probably, because we only go into the city
when there's an event on likeno, but what I'm saying is
incomparable to what weexperienced walking through
brisbane and it was christmastime, so it was still busy.

(09:55):
Yeah, um, I just found walkingthrough brisbane was a lot
easier.

Speaker 1 (10:00):
It was so much nicer I work in city, in the, the city
of Sydney, right, not for muchlonger.
Not for much longer, so I walkaround a bit after work and
stuff like that, but it justdoesn't have the same vibe.
Like, I really enjoyed it, feltsafe, it felt very well lit in
Brisbane, the fact that, likeeverywhere you go, like every

(10:22):
100 metres, there's anotherbridge that you can walk over
and check out the Brisbane Riveror whatever it is that flows
under those bridges.
It was just a stunning city towalk around.
So let's get into some detailsabout Brisbane, so things that
we really, really, really, really, really loved in Brisbane

(10:43):
Australia Zoo Top of my list itwas bloody spectacular.
Steve Irwin, what a legacyyou've left behind.

Speaker 2 (10:53):
But even more important, like the people that
worked there, including thefamily themselves.

Speaker 1 (10:59):
Terry and Rob and Bindi and Chandler Chandler,
yeah, whatever his name is butthe staff there all wanted to be
there.
There wasn't an unhappy personlike I've been to lots of zoos
and things like that everywherebut because I like taking photos
of animals and I can tell youthat they really enjoyed what

(11:23):
they were doing, right, reallyenjoyed.
There's people there that werethere volunteering, um, but the
layout of this place, like thereally cool area, like the
kangaroo zone, which was likeall fenced off but so open that
the kangaroos had their littlespaces everywhere to just chill
and you can go and get selfieswith them and scratch them and

(11:43):
say hello to them, like when Isay scratch, I'm gonna give them
pats, not scratch them, um,because they'll fucking scratch
your back.
But then there was like littlelittle wooden posts where they
basically said this is myresting zone, basically, which
was a fuck off area, so youdidn't go past that area and
every single person wasrespectful for that.

Speaker 2 (12:02):
yep, nobody went into those areas, but it was just so
clean, tidy and they've done sowell in terms of the structure
of the place.
I mean talking to people thathave been there before.
Ie you know our terms of thestructure of the place.
I mean talking to people thathave been there before.
Ie you know our hosts of theday, which are the wonderful V
and Vince.
Yeah, they're awesome.
Yeah, they took us there, rightthey?

Speaker 1 (12:21):
come out of their way To pick us up.
Pick us up, took us there, drive us all the way back,
dropped us home like took us tothis really cool pie shop on the
way.
Oh, dropped us home like tookus to this really cool pie shop
on the way.
Oh, my God, that pie was sofucking delicious.
I love a meat pie.
Everyone that knows me knows Ilove a good meat pie and it was
delicious.

Speaker 2 (12:38):
It's worth going back up there for that, but also
mention about Fee's car.

Speaker 1 (12:42):
Oh, it's so blinged, it is.

Speaker 2 (12:53):
I like okay, so Fee is blinged everywhere right
normally, but we expected alittle bit of bling, but
everything is blinged on her car.
It's so cool, it's, it's her,it's her tourtee.
And the nice thing was, themore we looked, the more we saw
yeah yeah, even when we got backin the car, we found more stuff
, more bling, and that's what'shappening.

Speaker 1 (13:02):
Oh my god, what's?
When you think it couldn't beenough sparkle, there's more
sparkle.
It's amazing, amazing.
But australia zoo um top, banana, top, top, top, like.
The surprise for us was thatwhen we're sitting there
watching the croc show, um, whocame out and hosted it?
The one and only rob erwinrobert.

Speaker 2 (13:24):
So you got really excited and had a massive
erection in your pants fuckinglike he's hot, all right he's
too young for you I know he'slook okay, he's hot to look at.

Speaker 1 (13:33):
All right, he's not too young he's 22 now or
something like that but even sowell 22, goes into 53, as many
times as he fucking wants.
Um, yes, please, um, but no.
He's a sexy little beast and Itell you, physical, like he was
jumping over barricades likefences and fences in one
enclosure into the nextenclosure of the croc.

(13:55):
He was running around with thosecrocs.
He is likable as hell.
I have no doubt why theyactually hired him for I'm a
celebrity, get me out of here, and stuff like that.
Because that kid was soengaging to an audience, like,
like yes, he's been doing thishis whole life, which probably
gives him the ability to just beoff the cuff and just really

(14:19):
engage with an audience, andthings like that.
Because he's been hosting thesecroc shows for years now, I
would imagine.
And he just brought theaudience in.
We were all on the edge of ourseat.
He was chasing these crocsaround trying to give them
dinner and it was just, it wassuper entertaining and yeah, it
didn't hurt that he was hot.

(14:40):
And Chandler Bindi's husband ohfuck, he's hot as well.
Like okay, he's super hot aswell.
So if I had to choose betweenthem, I'd choose both.

Speaker 2 (14:49):
Yay, you'd be in the middle.
I'd be piggy in the middle.
Yep, fucking, give it to me.

Speaker 1 (14:54):
Way to be fed by the crops.
I've got multiple holes for areason.
Fill them all.
Boys, here's some meat I'llfeed you crop, but yeah.
So Australia Zoo massive tick.
If you're in Brisbane, get yourass to Australia Zoo If you
haven't been there.
If you live in Brisbane, getthere as many times as you can.
It's an awesome place.

Speaker 2 (15:13):
Awesome place.
So after that we wererecommended by Fi and Vince to
go and check out Westfields inChelsea.

Speaker 1 (15:21):
Oh well, we wanted to go to the movies, so we
desperately needed to see Wicked.
Okay, when I say we, I mean me.
Alright, I needed to see Wicked.

Speaker 2 (15:29):
This is the very first thing we did.
This was prior to going toAustralia yeah, prior.

Speaker 1 (15:33):
So none of this is really going to be in order.
Sometimes it might be,sometimes it might not be.

Speaker 2 (15:36):
We're just going to go through what we did.

Speaker 1 (15:37):
But we need to go see Wicked.
So we said where should we go?
And we got recommended to go toChermside because it's got a
shopping centre.
Oh my God, it's not a niceshopping centre.
It's probably the nicestshopping centre I've ever seen
in my entire life.

Speaker 2 (15:56):
Not in Australia anyway.

Speaker 1 (15:59):
No, I think it rivaled Singapore.

Speaker 2 (16:01):
Oh look, I've seen other ones around the world.

Speaker 1 (16:03):
Okay, yeah, I haven't been to as many places.
Again, it's on par with placeslike Dubai and stuff like that?

Speaker 2 (16:08):
Yeah, well, this is the thing You're talking a
high-end shop and this is aWestfields that have got like
Polo it's got Gucci it's goteverything in place.

Speaker 1 (16:16):
It's got Chanel, right.
But the twist on this placeright is that it's got like
Chanel, it's got Gucci, it's gotlike Salvador, whatever it is,
it's got all these high-enddesigners, whatever his name is,
it's got all these high-enddesigners.
And then in that same centre,in that same area of the centre,

(16:36):
they've actually got best andleast and Kmart and Kmart and
stuff like that.
So the thing is that if you'rea house-o, if you're low
socioeconomic, you can shop inthe same area as the high-end
Mate.
Nothing end mate.
I have nothing wrong withfucking kmart and everything
like that.
I love it.
I mean nothing wrong with bestand less.

Speaker 2 (16:57):
I love my best and less stuff.
I I put value on money, andwhere the money goes is, yep be
the best place for me yep, correct, correct.
But I tell you to have them allin the same thing was a little
bit of a juxtaposed juxtaposedjust a, because when we first
got there, remember, we walkedin and I thought, fuck, this is
a small place.

Speaker 1 (17:14):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (17:14):
But had we realised that?

Speaker 1 (17:15):
Then we turned a corner.

Speaker 2 (17:16):
Yeah, and then turned another corner and turned
another corner.

Speaker 1 (17:19):
And then realised holy fuck, this is a big place.
The food court was amazing.
Lots of everything you'dpossibly want to eat was there.

Speaker 2 (17:36):
But took the transport, didn't we?
Yeah, we did.
We took a bus and we were solucky because out the side of
the hotel there was a buswaiting.
Yeah, there was a bus driver.
He was quite cute, yeah and hewas.
I think his name was adam, wasn't it?
or aaron, I can't remember but, anyway, he dave started talking
to him.
We didn't.
We didn't know how the busthing worked out there, how the
transportation.
Yeah, we knew you had to get apass, like opal and whatever
mikey and stuff like that, butbridgman's got their own as well
.
I can't remember what it'scalled busway, is it?
Oh, no, no, um, but anyway.
So, um, we walked over to him.

(17:57):
He was parked up.
He wasn't in service at thetime.
He was waiting to carry on hisroute.
He was having like a 20 minutebreak.
Yeah, walked over to him, heran the window down hi guys,
what's up?
Told him.
He said look, just come around.
He said I'll sort of like guideyou in.
He said look.
He said what you got to do isyou got to go to the central
place?

Speaker 1 (18:11):
we had a nice bulge too.

Speaker 2 (18:13):
Yep, he was from the uk or he'd been living in the uk
.
I know he's australian, but helived in the uk.

Speaker 1 (18:18):
So he was him and dave had a lovely chat, yeah
yeah, and then he said look boys.
He said you know, you know youneed, I'm not supposed to do
this, he said because becauseI'm um, not because I'm not
doing a run I'm not legallysupposed to Carry passengers.

Speaker 2 (18:32):
Carry passengers On this part?
Yeah, but.
I'll drop you around to whereyou need to go.
He said it's on the way, soI've got to go that way anyway.
So he did that, explained to ushow to work the system in terms
of, like, getting the pass fromthe actual thing.
Yep, yep.

Speaker 1 (18:57):
And then told us the route.
We need't get his name, unfortunately, but hey, but he
was again.

Speaker 2 (18:59):
He was, um, probably our vintage um yep, but again he
was, he was hot, really niceguy.
That's bold, um, so, yeah, so,yeah.
So then we found out.
Then you know, transport waslike 50 cents anywhere, each way
, everywhere.
It was great, um, and yeah, sothat was amazing to start with.

Speaker 1 (19:10):
So we get to the term side everything like okay,
wicked was amazing, it was, itwas dave was impressed.
Dave was on board for onesecond but we've had that.

Speaker 2 (19:19):
We had a walk around and we had.
We had something to eat first, didn't we?
Yep, and that was okay.
We just went down to where the,the local things were, like the
um, the subway yeah, I can'tremember what.

Speaker 1 (19:28):
We had an outdoor indoor.

Speaker 2 (19:30):
Yeah, oh, that was amazing outdoor bit, wasn't it?

Speaker 1 (19:32):
it was outdoor um shopping in that as well and
where they had a lot of therestaurants and things like that
.
But they had this really coolsculptures like in the ceiling.
That was like very um it was.
It was done with intention.
It looked really cool andwhichever angle you looked at it
the big dome thing, yeah, butthat was like a seating area.

Speaker 2 (19:53):
So that was like a chill picnic area.
Yeah, it was a sitting area, abig chill area where they had
sort of Picnic and everythingelse.
But wherever they had that, itwas like it was like a mosque,
sort of like top, but it was allopen planet.
It was a big dome, but it wasvery, very cool.

Speaker 1 (20:10):
Dave sat there and was like enamored by it.
It was just like.

Speaker 2 (20:13):
So we checked out of Wicked.
We basically realized that itwasn't being shown until later
on, so we then decided we'regoing to have a massage.
Oh, I forgot about the massageI hadn't?
Oh, of course you didn't.

Speaker 1 (20:27):
You had a shopping center massage.
All right, we wanted a massageby a guy if preferable, because
women and I like my massage bymen.
Right, generally, right now, shopping center massage want to
reiterate that.
So, generally, what you doalways leave your underwear on
and stuff like that in theshopping center massage.
Because they always say leaveunderwear on, um right, sorry,

(20:50):
that was racist, um, but that'show they do it and that's what
they say, yeah.
So we got there.
After looking at four differentmassage places, we went back to
the original one, which isright next to the cinema, which
is next to the cinema, butanyway, um, yeah.
But we went back to the firstone and, um, we got a massage.
We booked in and I think we hadlike to wait 10 minutes or

(21:12):
something like that.
So then you went off first Iwent off first with my guy.
He was big, solid, sort of nottoo bad looking Asian guy.
Dave went off first.

Speaker 2 (21:21):
I was waiting for mine to finish his client before
.

Speaker 1 (21:25):
Or finish off his client, probably now that we
know that Finish his clientpreviously.
So Dave's massage guy wasprobably a bit leaner.

Speaker 2 (21:34):
Yeah, he was quite slim, quite slim, probably about
32-ish.
I'd say, yeah, young enough-ishsort of.

Speaker 1 (21:41):
Asian guy, nice enough looking guy and all that
kind of stuff.
Right so away.
I'm getting massaged, all fine, all above board, no problem at
all.
There was a little bit of atickle here and there and I
thought, oh okay, somethingmight happen here.
Alas, nothing happened,unfortunately.
I came out and it was a prettygood massage.
Right, that's what's mine,right, dave?

(22:04):
Dave, explain your massage.

Speaker 2 (22:07):
Well, it was probably like yours, matt.
Um Very well done in a lot ofareas.

Speaker 1 (22:18):
But I had a few extras maybe given to me.

Speaker 2 (22:19):
Oh, I'll take that some extras.
So this guy was rubbing it.
I had my hands on the side, asyou do, laying on my stomach, my
hands next to the side, as youdo, on the table, yeah, and he
was just rubbing past and he waslike obviously insinuating that
, you know, he was like maybekeen, I don't know, but he
wasn't, he wasn't stopping andyou could definitely feel
everything in his shorts he waswearing, you know.

(22:40):
Okay, and then, obviously, whatwas happening in those shorts,
dave, oh look, was it gettingfirmer?
Well, it was already firm tostart with, I think, matt, I
mean that's from my.
I could tell you know, I meanokay, um so he liked what he saw
on the bed.
Obviously Maybe I don't know, but he was keen anyway.
And then obviously he did mymassage.
He did it professionally, so hehadn't really done anything to
me at that point.
And obviously then when theyflip you over, she laid on your

(23:01):
back.
That's when he was doing mylower legs and stuff.
It went from being a back andneck massage to being an
all-over massage, you know whatI mean so yeah, even though I
only paid for a back and neck.

Speaker 1 (23:14):
You paid for a one hour full massage yeah, one hour
full massage.

Speaker 2 (23:18):
I thought it was just a back and neck.
I'd asked for which is evenbetter.
I wonder why I wasconcentrating on my legs, but
there you go so yeah, sobasically.
I ended up having a little bitmore extra than Matt did.
Should I say yeah, I was sofucking jealous.

Speaker 1 (23:33):
So jealous because I really needed a handjob at that
stage.
But, yeah, would have beenhappy to get that.
Yep, definitely.
So Dave got.
He didn't get the happy ending, but he had a happy time.
He had a good time.
He just didn't get to comeunfortunately.
Not that time, we sorted thatout sometime later.
Yep, not that time, we sortedthat out sometime later.
Yep, no denying.
So that was Chermside, amazingTick, tick, tick tick, tick,

(23:55):
tick, tick.

Speaker 2 (23:55):
Go back there again.

Speaker 1 (23:56):
Shazoo, definitely tick, tick, tick, tick, tick
Transport around of the whole ofBrisbane 50 cents.

Speaker 2 (24:05):
We also walked a lot.
We walked a shit ton.
Yeah, we did.

Speaker 1 (24:07):
Yeah, but 50 cents on public transport, right on all
the buses and the trains andthings like that.
And again, once you've beenthere a while, you'll probably
get your head around it.
It was a little bit confusingbecause but that's the same for
anywhere you go.
We didn't know where we werereally going at that point in
time.

Speaker 2 (24:22):
Same when we went to Singapore, same when we went
anywhere.

Speaker 1 (24:24):
I mean you get to know what the local numbers are,
but there is a free ferry thatgoes around the whole waterways
of Brisbane and while thewaterways aren't crystal clear,
pristine right, it was stillreally nice to go and look at
the multi-million dollarproperties along the edges there
.
And this ferry took you thewhole way around, did a big loop
and stuff like that, and ithelped having a hot captain.

(24:45):
The hot captain was really good.

Speaker 2 (24:47):
He was.
We were pretty much the onlyones on board for a couple of
things.

Speaker 1 (24:50):
So it was just like, for it was like oh, I wonder
what could happen here.

Speaker 2 (24:53):
Yeah, he went to the toilet, didn't he?

Speaker 1 (24:55):
he went to the toilet and I'm sitting there going.
If he walks out with a bulgeI'm gonna go.
Oh, do you need a hand?
Or fucking?
Sitting there and I was.

Speaker 2 (25:01):
This is matt's fantasies.
Yeah, we'll do a whole show onfantasies, my whole fantasy
thing.

Speaker 1 (25:05):
Like I have lots, I fantasize a lot about a lot of
things.

Speaker 2 (25:09):
Even when Matt's talking in conversation, he's
fantasizing.

Speaker 1 (25:12):
I'm fantasizing about whether I can suck somebody's
cock or somebody can suck mycock.
I went to the gym yesterday and, oh, jesus Christ my fantasies.

Speaker 2 (25:21):
No, stop digressing, matt.
We're trying to get on withBrisbane.
Stop it, I'm going to stay withBrisbane.
We'll do a whole podcast onyour digression.
Yes, indeed, my gym sessions.
Yes, indeed, so, anyway, so,public transport tick, tick,
tick, tick, tick, tick.
So we then walked every singlefucking bridge, didn't we?
Because they were amazing.
Yeah, they were amazing, so whynot?
Yeah, they were absolutelyamazing, weren't?

Speaker 1 (25:40):
they correct.

Speaker 2 (25:41):
They were bloody brilliant, like all different,
all different, um, but they litit up so well, didn't they?
I know it was christmas time, but I think what people are
saying it's like that all thetime and the thing is it was
just really really cool.

Speaker 1 (25:53):
every single bridge, um again, like I said looks
different, and I have a bit of abridge phobia.
All right, so to walk acrossbridges is not a problem for me.
Driving across it is definitelyan issue, um, but every single
bridge was different.
They're all lit up sobeautifully at night time.
It could have been lit up atdaytime, but I wouldn't have

(26:13):
noticed that, obviously, but itwas just lovely to see.
So we went up one and theyweren't too far between them, so
we basically got to check themall out.
One night, after we werewalking the bridges, we decided
we were going to walk down toFelons.
Well, we didn't know it wasFelons at this stage, so we
walked down and walked along theriverside of this, really, what

(26:38):
looked like it'd be a reallycool area, but it was such a
cool area and then we sort ofGot a lift down, didn't we?
down to Rockface, yeah yeah, butthen we got told later you've
got to go and check out Felons.
And we went and checked it outand holy Christ, what a cool
vibe.
Right, they're building one atManly, or they've taken over

(26:59):
Manly Wharf Bar.
I don't know, because the lasttime we were at Manly it was all
shut.

Speaker 2 (27:07):
In fact, we need to go back a little bit before we
went to this place, because theperson that recommended this to
us was Okay, so we went to booka car because we need to get
home, we need to sort out ourflights.
Yeah, eventually we wanted tocome home.
We didn't really want to, butwe had, so we knew we had to
sort all that prior to us.

Speaker 1 (27:20):
So we looked at the cost of flights to come home and
the fact that we may have donea little bit of shopping here
and there while we were on butnot only that.

Speaker 2 (27:26):
We went on an international flight first, so
we have full luggage allowance.

Speaker 1 (27:30):
And then we're coming into, it's coming obviously.

Speaker 2 (27:33):
Into domestic.

Speaker 1 (27:34):
Domestic that's the word I was looking for.
I was saying local.
I didn't know what it was, butso we looked at potentially
driving home right.

Speaker 2 (27:43):
We worked out it was going to cost us something like
$800, wasn't it?
Yeah, per person, per person.
That's including our baggage,so we sat there and we're.

Speaker 1 (27:50):
What's the fucking point of that?
Because then it's gonna cost useven more to get from sydney
airport back to my car and thendrive home.
At the end of it all, yep.
So we thought let's have a lookat rental cars to potentially
come back.

Speaker 2 (28:01):
So we first went to budget, didn't we?
Because that's what we thoughtwould be the cheapest one.

Speaker 1 (28:04):
Yep, oh my god, it worked out just as expensive as
the flight flights right, wesaid fuck that.

Speaker 2 (28:10):
Thanks, but no thanks .
So we then went on and we sawother ones.

Speaker 1 (28:14):
We had a look at a few other ones and then I jumped
online and I looked at Hertzthat's what it ended up being
and I looked online and I'd seenthis special and it ended up
costing like $190 or somethinglike that in total, which was
cheap as shit.
So I reserved it because youdidn't have to put anything down
to reserve.

(28:34):
So then we went into the actualvenue to double check that that
was to make sure, yeah, yeahand all that, and the lady that
helped us there was amazing.
All right, her service level wasfantastic.
Not only did she say, yep, that's correct, you've done it
the right way, because we've gotan online special at the moment
, so they're not paying thereturn fee or something like

(28:55):
that.

Speaker 2 (28:55):
Yeah, because the car was originally from Sydney,
wasn't it?
Originally from Sydney, so sowe did them a favour by taking
them back anyway, yeah sobasically the car was good as
well wasn't it, the car was good.

Speaker 1 (29:04):
It was a really cool little car, honda one no it was
a Mazda, Mazda that's rightMazda 3 or Mazda 3 or something
like that, and it had a heads-updisplay, which is really cool.

Speaker 2 (29:14):
I know you get excited about those sort of
things.
I like that.

Speaker 1 (29:17):
But her.
But she then told us what weshould do in the next couple of
days while we're still there, yeah, and she told us all about
Brunswick and all the otherplaces Brunswick, and to go to
fortitude valley and to go tojames street and to go here and
to go there.
Um, so it's so.
She set us in the rightlocation, didn't she?

(29:38):
Basically, she sent useverywhere.
So she told us she was one ofthe ones that told us to go to
the place I just mentionedfelons.
Felons, yeah, yeah.
So we sat there and said, ohyeah, we'll definitely have a
look at that.
Um, so we went and looked at alot of the things that she
actually gave us on on her list.

Speaker 2 (29:54):
So the felons is a howard and she wrote down a lot
of stuff on that she wrote downon.
We still got a bit of paperhere.

Speaker 1 (29:59):
The envelope she's told us to go to stafford, the
gap to baden, to kempton, munchen to grains.

Speaker 2 (30:05):
But we were also talking to her about my, my
property flipping, weren't we?
And she was telling us aboutchecking these locations out,
because she said, don't go tothis area because it's not that
good, or go to this area becauseit's, like you know, really
nice place and there's lots ofplaces.

Speaker 1 (30:15):
Yeah, so yeah I think she was the one that told us
that we could go up to thecasino and go up to that level
and walk around for free, whichwe did as well, which we did um,
but she told us lots of stuff.

Speaker 2 (30:26):
She was very, very helpful.
She would be great in um like atourist information information
place.

Speaker 1 (30:31):
She was safe.
She knew everything aboutbrisbane.
She was fantastic, but she knewall about her job as well.

Speaker 2 (30:36):
Yes, she definitely did as well.
So she was awesome.
So we put the car and thenobviously now we can go back to
where we were in our story offelons.

Speaker 1 (30:44):
So we went to felons and we went there of the morning
and we got a coffee.

Speaker 2 (30:48):
We got an iced coffee we ended up getting because it
was fucking a thousand degreesalready and we're chatting to
some, but it was early eveningat that point wasn't it no, no,
it was morning no, we went innighttime first oh, the first
time we went the night that'swhen she told us we went there,
remember that night, and we wentdown to have a look and we're
looking at the city coming backin the nighttime we went down
that way, okay, yeah, we're justchecking it out, won't we
remember?

(31:09):
Yeah, that's when we that'swhen we jumped on the ferry
initially coming back we paidthat one to come back, remember
yeah, probably yeah, remember wegot on the ferry you know how
long ago.
This is now dave I know, butyour memory is just like a golf
I can't remember my own name.

Speaker 1 (31:22):
I know who are you that's why I've written another
thing.
My name is he's got a little,it's not steve, it's not steve,
not gay man's.
Steve, it's true.

Speaker 2 (31:30):
Anyway, yeah, so we checked out this place, so it
was early evening by the time wewalked there.
Then it became darker, wasn'tit?

Speaker 1 (31:39):
Yeah, but it was whatever night it was.
There wasn't much happeningthat night.

Speaker 2 (31:42):
No, but we'd been out looking, remember, yeah, yeah,
and I think that's when we wentto.
We didn't go to the sauna thatday.
Did we come back afterwards?
Maybe, maybe, I don't know.
Yeah, we did?

Speaker 1 (31:58):
Is that when we Okay, we went to the sauna.
Yeah, we did.

Speaker 2 (32:02):
Oh my God, we're really digressing here now, but
we have to mention this.
Okay, we went to the sauna, sowe went to Brunswick initially,
remember.
Okay, we went to the sauna, sowe went to brunswick initially,
remember okay, and looked aroundand then we knew that the sauna
was there, so we'd alreadyprepared ourselves to go to the
sauna.

Speaker 1 (32:15):
Yep, we had, and I'd been on grinder chatting to a
couple of people just because Ididn't want to go to the sauna
and make it a complete bust, right, and get there and have no
one there, right.
So I had been chatting to a fewpeople, right, and to say it
was a very successful grindermeetup.
Fuck yeah, it was because theguy that that we were I was

(32:36):
chatting to, he was probablyabout a 10.
All right, he was again similarage to us, right yeah, he was.

Speaker 2 (32:45):
He wasn't married, was it that one?

Speaker 1 (32:46):
no, no, no, no, no.
He was fit as fuck, right and,and he was hot and Muscular,
muscular and Well-proportioned,very well-proportioned, nice
cock, very nice ass.
But he had a bit of a fantasywhere he wanted to get fucked in
the video room.
Now, what was the sauna's name?

(33:07):
Wet, wet yeah.
In Brisbane.
Yeah, it's not a huge sauna,all right.
It's got a pool in it, which isreally quite nice.
Had a nice dip in there.
Um, it goes over a couple oflevels, but most of the levels
is most of it's all on one levelthe, the sex area and all that
kind of stuff, right?
Yeah, so the video room againis quite small, but it had a

(33:29):
couple of guys in there thatwere basically just sitting up
on the cubicles just kissing andstuff like that and jerking off
, jerking yourself off, watchingthe videos.
But we walked in.
It wasn't as busy as I thoughtit was initially, no it wasn't
as busy as we thought it wasgoing to be, but there was
enough people there and therewas quite a bit of talent there,

(33:49):
yeah Right, and we walked in,had a walk around and We'd walk
past this guy and looked and I'dshowed Dave a photo of him as
well, because it was on mygrinder and Dave said I think
that's him there and I said I'mnot sure, right because.
But we walked past him againand he went hey, podcast boys,
right.
And I went oh hey, how are yougoing?

(34:10):
And we said his name, which wewon't say here.
But so then we sort of grabbedeach other, had started kissing
a little bit, making out, um andhe was a good kisser as well um
, very passionate, and so thewhole three of us were getting
into it, and then everybodyelse's, then everyone else

(34:32):
started watching and startedbuilding a crowd made him get
even.
He was getting even fucking morehard and more excited then as
well.
Yep, so then we were in that,we're in that um video room
anyway.
That's where we saw it allhappened.
He eventually and blew his loadwe fucking, fucking.
You blew your load, he blew hisload oh yeah, I must come
buckets, I think, um.

(34:53):
But then he was spent.
After that he was gone, he wasdone and dusted one and done um,
but he definitely got what hecame for.
We both had if I can, had aawesome time him, um.
But then I think we hung arounda little bit longer.
We went to the sauna, went tothe steel room and there was
another little guy, a little um,I don't know what nationality

(35:14):
he was spanish, sp wasArgentinian, argentinian,
spanish.
So again nice big dick, butagain we fucking absolutely
ravaged him as well.
We took him to the sling andjust thrashed him and he was
fucking loving it.
Yeah, yeah, absolutely, he wasdefinitely loving it.
So we had a lot of fun at thatsign.

Speaker 2 (35:34):
But in the meantime, before that happened, remember
what happened.
We were walking down past theglory holes because it wasn't a
big area, and these two guyslike cornered dave.
They cornered me and I couldn'tsee because it was dark, yeah,
and they literally got him andthen one of them started kissing
me and I was like, oh my god, this is not good, this isn't, he
can't kiss, he's justabsolutely awful.
But he was like really quiteforceful and they're quite big

(35:54):
boys as well.
Yeah, as in, they were notmuscular, yeah, chubby boys.
And then they were reachingdown and they were like grabbing
me we're gonna preface thiswith have no issue with body.

Speaker 1 (36:04):
No right, I will fuck , suck absolutely anyone.
Yep, um, if, if there's aconnection it wasn't.

Speaker 2 (36:10):
It wasn't anything with the body or anything like
it.

Speaker 1 (36:11):
Was the way they were they just, they just forced
themselves on dave and literallythey, and they weren't taking
no for an answer.
I was literally trapped.
I was literally trapped and I'dkind of disappeared at this
stage and I kind of left him tofend for himself a bit.
But then I did come back around, I think Help me, because I was

(36:32):
looking for you and kind ofthought where is he, and sort of
then helped him out a littlebit and he's gone fucking helped
him out a little bit and he'scome fucking.

Speaker 2 (36:38):
In the meantime I've had literally a lifetime.
He's traumatic.
Five minutes of my life wouldnever get back again.

Speaker 1 (36:42):
Yeah, but um, so it was a bit of fun um, I wasn't a
bit traumatized, but it was abit traumatized.

Speaker 2 (36:46):
I was like fuck, this place is dark, and not just
necessarily meaning no light um,but yeah, it was, even when
you're trying to grab me anddrag me away yeah, they were
pulling, they were pulling backand I was like, no, leave me
alone, leave me alone.
So we ripped him out of thereand rescued him, but it was like
when they were trying to kissme.
It was like all teeth and I waslike, please stop, I can't do
this, get away.

(37:07):
It wasn't good at all.
Poor thing, poor thing, poorDave.

Speaker 1 (37:20):
He's since recovered it's okay, and to the vets Just
to make sure it was okayafterwards.
Yeah, definitely needed hisshots, but yeah, no, we get
regular testers.

Speaker 2 (37:25):
We get regular testers.

Speaker 1 (37:27):
And this is what I want to talk about.
So they had a group there andthey were called something else.
They weren't?
It's not like ACON, but it wasbasically their version of ACON.
It began with R, didn't it notlike acon?
But it was basically um.
Their version of it begins withoh, I can't remember what it
was, but they had their regularversion of acon, right um, which
was I'm trying to look, it'snot.

(37:47):
That's not that I don't knowwhat it is um, but anyway, they
had a guy there that wasbasically doing testing from
monkey, pox and vax and all likemake it vaccinations and just
regular sti checks and stuff itwas.

Speaker 2 (38:00):
It was super cool.
It's almost like they wereencouraging because obviously a
lot like we said before a lot ofmarried guys do go to these
venues never take theopportunity to get themselves
tested because maybe they don'tknow how to do it, a lot about
it, so they're getting theirdicks sucked by guys this so
they don't realize that there isactually a risk to what they're
doing potentially and thatthey're risking people at home.

(38:22):
I'm pretty sure it begins withthe actual name of the group.
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (38:25):
But anyway, it's irrelevant, but it was a great
service.
They were providing Freeservice.
Yeah, the guy that was therewas so helpful.

Speaker 2 (38:35):
Yeah, have a professional that was doing it
as well, because we had a goodchat with him, didn't we?
And you don't normally get thatin most saunas at all.

Speaker 1 (38:42):
you'll get like these new devices you'll get a
vending machine that can testyou and stuff like that rapid
testing.
But this guy was on hand toactually answer any questions
that you might have had as well.
He was there to give advice, hewas there to do.

(39:02):
This guy was on hand toactually answer any questions
that you might have had as well,he was there to give advice.
He was there to do pretty muchhis job, which was voluntary, I
must add as well, but it wasgreat.
It was great Sauna itself.
I'd give a big 9 out of 10.

Speaker 2 (39:17):
tick, it was small, small but I would definitely go
back very clean it was.
It was manageable.
I mean, the only thing I didn'tI thought was the
disappointment was the gloryholes because it was a bit weird
, but we managed to get thatyoung guy remember in the jock.

Speaker 1 (39:28):
Oh, oh god, dave, yeah, yeah, dave, fuck this
young guy, right?
What?
Okay, when we say young, he wasprobably about 22, 23.

Speaker 2 (39:37):
Maybe 25.

Speaker 1 (39:39):
Okay, whatever, he was hot.
He was wearing a jockstrap, wasn't he Jockstrap on right
Baseball cap backwards right, just really he looked like your
all-American porn star.
Right, he was off fucking likeChatterbait or fucking Brant's
Boys or one of those like brokestraight boys.

(40:02):
He kind of looked like hestepped straight out of one of
those old time old even newAmerican pornos.

Speaker 2 (40:10):
But he went into Glory Hole and we followed him.
He started sucking his ass offto me.

Speaker 1 (40:14):
Yeah, he started sucking dick and that was really
good, but then he fucking bentover and dave thrashed him.
Right, fucking, absolutelythrashed him.
Dave came deep inside him.
Um, he's got dave's babysomewhere.
Um, but yeah, it was justfucking awesome.
But, yeah, dave really gave hima wallop and um, so this is all

(40:35):
about brisbane boys.
Yeah, yeah, brisbane.

Speaker 2 (40:38):
This is one of the reasons we love it this podcast
is getting longer and longer, just like our cocks did yeah, oh
, fucking hell, I tell you whatthey were definitely hard while
we were in brisbane.

Speaker 1 (40:48):
Yeah, um, but um, it was the sauna.
Yeah, great, great sauna, itwas awesome.

Speaker 2 (40:54):
Check it out, definitely check it out, loved
it.
Anyway.
We're not going to digressanymore on this, because we've
we've literally gone backwardsand forwards in this yeah, we're
going everywhere, yeah so Imean we did a lot in brisbane.
Like it's six days, so we tryour best to cover more yeah so
after the sauna, then that'swhen we then walked, we got that
, we got, we went back to thathotel to have food and that's
when we saw troy look alike.
Oh, the gay bar, the bar, Ican't remember what it's called,

(41:17):
because that's where.
Vince told us to go to remember.

Speaker 1 (41:19):
We can just see Fee and Vince told us to go to
another place.

Speaker 2 (41:23):
We can just see, and I had photos of it.

Speaker 1 (41:25):
We can just see.
It's got, here you go.
Maybe, maybe it's in FortitudeValley, yep, all right, okay,
that's, did I take a photo ofthe actual fucking name of the
place?
You would think I would.

Speaker 2 (41:39):
You would think I would, because there's a photo
of Troy as he's looking throughthings he talks to himself the
Wickham, the.

Speaker 1 (41:45):
Wickham, it doesn't begin with C at all.
Okay, we're close.
See, I know I took a photo.
I took a photo of Bert andErnie with the pizza.
There you go and a couple ofbeers you didn't do.
Absolutely, and I took a photoof Dave eating a pizza with a
knife and fork.

Speaker 2 (41:58):
As I watched it?
Weirdo and I did that lastnight.
Did you notice?
As well he did I did.

Speaker 1 (42:02):
I did notice last night, yeah, but you weirdo, I
can't help it.
I mean, if I but the Wickhamwas great.
That's in Fortitude Valleyright.

Speaker 2 (42:13):
So Wickham, lovely old Art there again, because it
had shows on during the week butwe didn't have time but we did,
yeah, during the day, but yeah,we'll definitely check that
place out again when we go back.
For sure, big mention for thatone, but yeah.
But then we then caught the busback, remember, and then that's
when we then stopped inbrunswick and we then then
walked down to them.
We're now going back towardswhere we got to philip felons.
So that's where the first nightwe went to felons, remember,

(42:34):
okay, yeah, yeah, so we wentthrough the whole city bit.
We walked through, and hethought, okay, we're just going
to walk up and keep on walking.
And then we then went to felonsand that's where we went down
that cliff face in the lift, yep, and then we saw this whole
section.
We didn't know it was felons atthe time.
We just thought, oh, this is acool area and it was just like
entertainment area.
It was like it, like I don'tknow, it was set on the

(42:54):
riverfront, wasn't it?
And it was almost like olddocklands or like buildings,
yeah, so you know, oldwarehouses and stuff like that
had been repurposed and it wasjust amazing it was a very cool
area.
Very good.
Artwork again all over thewalls.
Remember, On the backside ofthe walls.

Speaker 1 (43:10):
I think so, yeah, what do you mean In Fellins,
that area?

Speaker 2 (43:14):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, that James Street, yeah, that
area, yeah, yeah yeah, thatjames street for james street.
Yeah, yeah, it was amazing, yeah, so that was really cool.
So then we saw it at night timeand then we thought, okay,
we'll get the ferry.
So we got the ferry back and wethen had a look at the river
coming back and we thought wemust go back there again, all
right.
So that's where we first wentto.

Speaker 1 (43:30):
So then when we went to the felons, then we did some
more wandering around, but wewandered around the middle of
the city where, like around thevalley and things like that- no,
so this is the second time.

Speaker 2 (43:41):
Now you're talking about okay, so I'm talking about
when we went down californialane yeah, but what I'm saying
is we went to felons that night,so we got to see felons first.

Speaker 1 (43:50):
Yeah, I'm back to the day.
We've already been to felons atnight time, or three fucking
times.
Now let's go to daytime.
Felon I can't explain.

Speaker 2 (43:55):
So this is where we went to felons during the
daytime.

Speaker 1 (43:57):
Daytime felons we went morning time, Dave listen,
we're at Felons in the morning, right where we had a nice cold
iced coffee, chatted with a girlthere Whilst we were chatting
with Fi, she told us that therewas a really cool guy there
called Ryan right, that workedthere.
We should say hi to him.
We spoke to this young girl whowas so awesome.

(44:18):
She knew him right.
But ryan was no longer workingthere.
He was now working at a cafe,at a um coffee distillery I
don't know what you call itcoffee roaster, called bare
bones, yeah, right, but so wetext free and fee was
disappointed because she didn'tget a chance to say goodbye to
him and she sent us a photo ofRyan, and we were then

(44:38):
disappointed we didn't get tosee him, because he was a really
good cutie as well.
So we then went on our merry way, wandering around the whole
city and doing all what we didand stuff like that.

Speaker 2 (44:49):
Went to that cafe and had that dinner the salad that
cost us like $10,000.

Speaker 1 (44:57):
Yeah, we went to a cafe and we walked in and it was
a lunchtime ish, so they it wasvery cool, it was very cool and
it was all very fresh andlooked sensational right.
And we got there and everythingwas by weight.
We didn't know.
I got a small because, again,I'm not a big eater, I've had my
gastric sleeve surgery and that, and they've just got a medium.

(45:18):
And they started weighing ourstuff or putting out what we
were selecting into a bowl, andthey got to a halfway point and
they said something to us but wereally didn't pay attention.
Dave said it was only like $5,but I don't recall.
Yeah, I'm sure it was, I don'trecall.
Anyway.
But then when we added all ourmedium, and stuff like that.
There was a meat bit we didfirst remember and then went to
salad yeah, we did the saladsection, whatever it was anyway,

(45:40):
but by the time we'd actuallygot these salads it was close to
80 or something like that.
But two salads and two drinks,it was like just not normal.

Speaker 2 (45:50):
They're just like it was just like a normal salad.

Speaker 1 (45:52):
It was just like, yeah, normal, normal soft drink.
It wasn't anything like it, butit was like close to 80.
It might be more than 80dollars even, um.
But we were like holy, holy, fuck, and because we'd selected
it, so you can't then say no, no, that's too much, right, um,
because they can't put it back.
But they were looking at us,but it was so busy though,
wasn't it?
It was packed.

Speaker 2 (46:11):
I'm sitting there going people in prison I think
it would have been cheaper if Icould eat in one rather than
take away.
Yeah, it would have definitely.

Speaker 1 (46:16):
But yeah, but look, it was still.
It was bloody delicious.
But we had it like three dayslater, didn't we?
Yeah, we were still eating it.
I refused to throw it away.
No, I think it was calledRainbow something or other.
I can't remember what it was,but it was cool anyway.

Speaker 2 (46:27):
But it was very cool, but just to make sure you got a
mortgage.

Speaker 1 (46:33):
But then we walked around the city there and that's
when we walked down toFortitude Valley, because we're
told to go down Fortitude Valley, Yep.
And we walked along there andwe stumbled across this place
that's called California.

Speaker 2 (46:46):
Lane no, but we met up with Ryan before then.
We did that afterwards, remember, did we?
Yeah, I thought it was no, no,no, we went, I thought we, no,
no, your memory is really bad, okay.

Speaker 1 (46:58):
So when we were walking along, then right I
looked up and I went oh barebones, that's a coffee place.
It might be where this Ryan guylooks at right.

Speaker 2 (47:08):
And we just stumbled upon it we just stumbled across
it, right.
And we're like holy shit.

Speaker 1 (47:11):
So we walked in and we walked up to the front and it
was the coffee bean roastersCoffee roasters, that at the
front and it was the coffee beanroast coffee roasters and they
were great as well, right, andthey were really cool.
And we started there's a guycalled ryan that works here and
they smiled and they smiled.

Speaker 2 (47:23):
I said, yeah, he's just having a break, we'll grab
him right so they grabbed him.

Speaker 1 (47:27):
He didn't know who we were.
He had no idea who we are, um,so we're saying hey.
Um, we were just down atfelon's a friend of ours, fee.
She said that we should say hito you there.
But they told us you're hereand we literally just walked
past here, stumbled across thisplace and I think he was
thinking who the fuck are thesepeople?
And so next minute, no, we'resending photos to Fee saying
look who we found.
And then he's going oh, let metake on a tour.

Speaker 2 (47:51):
So we went in the back and had a tour of the
roasters and all that kind ofstuff and then we said to him oh
, look, you know, we got burtnurney.

Speaker 1 (47:59):
And he said, oh, can I have a photo with him, like he
was such a cool guy as well?
Um, told him about the podcast, talking about the podcast, and
again he was fucking hot he waseven hotter than he was in his
photo.

Speaker 2 (48:10):
Yeah, definitely.

Speaker 1 (48:12):
Um, oh god, he was sexy, um, but yeah, so, um, so
that told him about the podcast.
So, ryan, if you're listening,um thumbs up, we'll definitely
catch up with you again, oh yeah, and if you do like boys, um.

Speaker 2 (48:23):
But then he caught up with fee and vince on their
christmas day.
Their christmas do as well, aswell, um, so yeah, he's a hottie
um as well, and a lovely, lovely guy as well I'm very good
at what he does.
Absolutely everybody loved him,didn't they?
The girls that, unfortunately, that felons loved him.
Yeah, and the new people thathe was going for loved him as
well.
Just a great, great guy allaround yeah, um.

Speaker 1 (48:44):
So then, when we left bare bones, is that when we,
that's, we carried on walkingdown to carry on walking down
right and we walked up thisplace and it was really cool, um
, and it had this really coollike little alleyways Lameways,
wasn't it Alleyways lamewaystype thing, and it just looked
really cool.
And one of them was calledCalifornia Lane and we walked up

(49:06):
and we again, I have a bit of alove for art, as does Dave,
hence why our bills on the shipwas way bigger than it should
have been.
But we walked into this littlegallery there and they had some
phenomenal art and I think it'scalled Studio on.
Brunswick is the actual galleryand the lady that runs it her

(49:31):
name is Lynn Tilt and so warm, lynette Lyn.
She's got listed as Lyn onInstagram, okay, so she was
soette Lyn.
She's got listed as Lyn onInstagram, okay, so she was so
warm, just adorable, beautifulperson.
Loved to chat as we do.
She loved Bert and Ernie.

Speaker 2 (49:49):
Right loved Bert and.

Speaker 1 (49:50):
Ernie, we were talking to them for ages and
ages and ages she had a friendin there with her, didn't she?
She had a friend in there aswell, so she also makes art as
well.
She teaches art as well, andshe took us up to her studio,
didn't?

Speaker 2 (50:02):
she Took us up to the studio and stuff.
So she goes the whole tour ofthe area didn't she?
Yes, just adorable, but so goodanyway.
Amazing person.

Speaker 1 (50:09):
And the gallery had and they showcased different
local artists and stuff likethat.
Now I looked at this art thatwas on this wall and it was very
colourful but very fluoro.
It was very busy but it wasvery dramatic.

Speaker 2 (50:26):
It was literally all fluoro colours.

Speaker 1 (50:28):
Yeah, it was all fluoros and stuff like that, but
they had these really cooliridescent frames on them in
there as well and I just took toit really, really well.

Speaker 2 (50:40):
I mean, there was a lot of different artwork in
there there, different artistsand different styles, and they
were amazing, all, every singleone.
But you had this.
It caught your eye it was liketop right hand corner, where the
, the, the sort of like the tillarea wasn't.

Speaker 1 (50:51):
Yeah, yeah, and it was round and I just I just seen
it and I really liked it and soI asked how much it was and I
don't think it was overpriced, Idon't remember, but it wasn't
super expensive, right, it wasworth the money and for an
original art piece and I lookedat it and it just spoke to me
and the more I looked at it themore I could see in it and
things like that.
And the artist you chose, emmaDaruzet.

(51:14):
Her Instagram, if you want tofollow, is e double m?
A dot d a double r o u z e tdot art right and local artist.
Local artist again.
Um, I found out that a piece ofart that it was, it was
actually from a, not from adepressive state, but from a bit
of a I don't want to say manic,it was just, it was very

(51:38):
emotional and it was basicallybought out of um, depression and
anxiety and all that kind ofstuff.
So it sort of spoke to mementally as well, a bit adhd in
it as well, but it was busy ashell and it was awesome.
But, um, the gallery wasfantastic.
Um, go and check it out.
It's's in California Lane inFortitude Valley, it's called

(52:02):
Studio on Brunswick.
Go and see Lynette.

Speaker 2 (52:06):
Check her website.
Has she got a website?
No, she was doing a website, wasn't she?
I think she said she was havinga website built.

Speaker 1 (52:10):
I'm not sure what that was, but if you look on
Instagram at Studios, onBrunswick you'll find it anyway.

Speaker 2 (52:15):
Yeah, definitely.

Speaker 1 (52:22):
Please, please, studios on broads, you'll find
it anyway.
Yeah, definitely, please, please, please, support these,
these artists, because she, yeah, she supports local artists and
things like that as well.
So, so check it out.
It was awesome as well, um, andthen we wandered around the
rest of the city and seen lotsand lots and lots of other stuff
we did.
We went into lots of places.
Dave, where else have we, whereelse have we got on our list of
things?
The casino, okay, the casino isa casino casino.
It's very nice, very opulent,um, but it was a.

(52:43):
It was walking around the wholeoutside, um, you could see the
whole city skyscraper, but it'sonly open like two months prior,
hadn't it yeah?

Speaker 2 (52:51):
right and we've been watching it from the bridges
something, because they had thisgreat big.
All the windows seem to turninto like a big sort of like TV
screen on the outside.
Yeah, and they were havingcountdown every night and they
were showing fireworks, goingoff and countdowns and
everything else Correct, it wasreally cool.
So we had seen it from adistance and we thought we must
go there.
But when we got closer wethought, oh, fuck me, we've got
to go and have a look at thisthing.
Yeah, and.

(53:11):
But it was awesome beingdeveloped, wasn't it?
Some of the shops are stillbeing made and you know, re, uh,
re, not re, um were being umset up in terms of like their um
, shop fronts and stuff likethat.
Yeah, yeah, um, but the viewwas unbelievable.
They had like a glass walkwayaround it, didn't they?
Yeah, so you're looking downonto the road and it was freaky.

Speaker 1 (53:32):
You stepped out onto this green glass panel, but the
views of the whole city wereabsolutely spectacular,
spectacular undeniablyspectacular.
That's definitely a place to goand visit if you want to have a
look around, yeah for sure.
Um, where else have we been inbrisbane?
I don't know.
We've done lots.
I think that's pretty much whatwe had in our listing that we
wanted to look um.

Speaker 2 (53:53):
We want to go back there and we're going to go back
there.
Um, we're looking at doing aplan, a drive up there, this
time staying in Airbnb.
Hopefully we'll take somefriends up with us, yep, and
then we'll catch up with Vee andPrince, because we want to,
because we love them, yeah,absolutely.
And then, while I'm up there,I'm going to be doing some
recce-ing on areas.

(54:13):
Central property areas To maybedo some flips in the future,
because I think I think whatmatt and I was was saying that
you know, in the next few yearswe may very well look at moving
up towards 100 and I think nowwe've been there and seen it, I
think it definitely ticks everybox that we would need.

(54:34):
Oh yeah, I fell in love with it.
Yeah, and you know it's a newarea, new vibe and a new start,
I suppose in terms of, like youknow, um, moving forward, but,
um, but yeah, in that regards, Imean, sydney is always going to
be a great place and I don'tregret ever living here, but I
think, as time has gone by, Ithink there's more places in the

(54:55):
world to go and look at.
I want to go to wa, I want togo catch up with alan and mike
and troy and holly, um, and goand check all that area as well,
um, but for me, having been tomelbourne, having been to
brisbane and lived in sydney, darwin is still the place I want
to go back and visit.
But in terms of living wise, then, yeah, brisbane would

(55:16):
definitely be the place that Iwould want to go to next to make
my base home if that makessense, correct, correct, correct
.
So anyway, that's pretty muchour take on Brisbane.
Brisbane, that's the end of ourholiday as such.
Yep For now, and we'll be backto our.

Speaker 1 (55:32):
I'd say normal, but we don't do anything.

Speaker 2 (55:34):
Normal, no, we are going to be changing the sort of
like format a little bit.

Speaker 1 (55:38):
Oh we're going to play around.

Speaker 2 (55:39):
We're going to play around, but it's still going to
be heavily LGBTQ based, as wepromised that we would do.
Yep, but we need to sort oflike take it a little bit
further, because people aresaying you know, can you include
this, can you include that?

Speaker 1 (56:02):
So we need to sort of sit down and work out how the
