Discussing the real-life experiences of marriage. From child loss, intimacy struggles, fidelity challenges, doubts in faith, financial strain, and family stress to amazing sex, profitable businesses, global travel, crazy faith, successful children, and everything in between...it will be okay! It was 2002 when Terrell and Taneisha married at the young age of 20 and 19. One year later, they purchased their first home. Terrell worked in the hospitality field, making $19 an hour, and Taneisha worked with a mortgage company averaging about $2,000 weekly. By 2004 Terrell was an ordained pastor. Both were devoted to Christian ministry, teaching bible classes, and holding at-home worship services. Life was good! A few more years passed, and Taneisha gave birth to their 4th child, Gabrielle (Gabby) Hadassah. At about the same time, Terrell was offered a position within Taneisha’s company. Terrell was counter-offered by his employer, but he turned them down with an opportunity to almost double his earnings with his new prospect. When it came time for him to start, the company rescinded the offer due to a hiring freeze, leaving Terrell without employment. A few weeks later, Taneisha had also gotten laid off. This was only the beginning. Some months later, they suffered the death of Gabby while Taneisha was in the hospital from a severely failed birth control attempt. From the loss of income and life stress, they eventually went into foreclosure and ultimately bankruptcy. While Terrell was on the phone with his mother the night of Gabby’s passing, his mother spoke the words… “It will be okay.” Present-day God has restored! They now have 7 beautiful children, they own businesses and property, a growing marriage counseling and mental health ministry, advanced toward their terminal degrees, and traveled the world with almost a dozen countries to date. This podcast honors Gabby, whose name means “God is my strength.” It represents the losses suffered and the victories gained in marriage and family. Terrell and Taneisha share the wisdom obtained from their personal experiences and their professional knowledge from years as marriage and family counselors. They also showcase others who have insightful and meaningful experiences to share. All designed to help you! Be encouraged today! God is not done with you! It Will Be okay!
