The Red Hot Tour is coming and you're behind it
all again. Can we say something funny? Our our co
host here Elo kept we've talked about the Red Hot
Tour and he accidentally said the Red Chili Peppers Tour,
and then he said it was just a faux par
on air, and then we were like, wouldn't it be
amazing if one knew the Red Hot Tour got the
Chili Peppers?

Speaker 3 (00:48):
Do you think that could happen to right?

Speaker 4 (00:50):
Oh, anything's possible in this crazy world of music, you know,
I mean the Red Hot.

Speaker 3 (00:54):
Summer tour is actually you know, it's been been around
for a few years now and it's just you know,
goes all the regional areas around Australia and it's just
such a great tour to be on. So I'm always
always happy to be a part of it. And obviously,
you know, coming to Southport and playing with Physical Watral
and Cheap Trick and the Angels and baby Animals everybody together,

(01:15):
it's going to be amazing. I've never seen Cheap Trick
and all I've ever heard about them.

Speaker 2 (01:19):
Over the years is their amazing lives and that Robin
Zander is still an amazing singer and the great Fellows
but we have mutual friends and so they fantastic fellows.

Speaker 3 (01:30):
So I'm really looking forward to meeting them and watching
them play.

Speaker 5 (01:33):
Mate. What's it like behind the scenes, like you've known
all these people for such a long time. Is it
nice catching up with everyone?

Speaker 3 (01:41):
It is here we get to compare, you know, our
prescriptions and.

Speaker 4 (01:50):
It's not quite that bad, but it's not what it
was wild it was used to be, of course, you know,
but you know, it's really nice to catch up with
everyone and you know, we're just it really is a.

Speaker 2 (02:04):
Lovely environment to sort of be in there.

Speaker 3 (02:06):
So you know, we we spur each other on and
you know, we're all rooting for each other, you know
what I mean. It's trying to like come on, you know,
and it's great. It's just it's just a good vibe.
And you know, Australian music industry has always been, you know,
always been very close k met.

Speaker 5 (02:21):
You know, we've got we've been doing like a competition
giving tickets away and a lot of the women when
we ask them, who are you really keen to see,
they're all saying we want to see John Stevens, you
haven't lost her apart with a lady lovely well. I've
even mentioned it earlier this morning that that's what's happening.
There's there's definitely a theme with our ladies listeners.

Speaker 3 (02:42):

What could John say? I mean, even our producer on,
who is only just in her thirties and heavily pregnant,
was just wooning over the fact that she was putting
you through to us.

Speaker 3 (02:54):
Thanks mom, I say, She said, I'll be up in
the front right, I said, I don't know, fear that
much pregnant to give us a shout and we'll put
you on the back there or somewhere, you know, in
the front. I've been on the stage. You're not getting smashed.

Speaker 6 (03:05):
Oh are you nice? How are you delivering? Just in
case she goes into labor, John, how many kids have
you caught?

Speaker 3 (03:12):
I've caught a couple. Actually, Granddad, it's like now my
granddad that's.

Speaker 5 (03:19):
Trying to like it won't only be the screaming jets
that screaming on one. I'm not going to bring up
chocolate stuff.

Speaker 6 (03:37):
Well, look, when you get to be here for the tour,
is there any downtime for you? What are you looking
forward to doing on the Gold Coast?

Speaker 3 (03:43):
I'm looking for I've seen Sheep Trick really am really
really excited to see them and to see you know,
Susie again, and she's she's such a lovely lady and
so it's good to catch.

Speaker 2 (03:51):
Up with her and and just catch up with everyone.

Speaker 3 (03:54):
That's that's sort of the main main sort of excitement
about doing these things, apart from obviously playing for the punters.
You know that it's about catching up with everyone and
just sort of sharing and the music and the end
of the day, you know, it's always a great day.

to be a part of it.
