Speaker 1 (00:00):
Your screens, and gentlemen, we have a guest.
Speaker 2 (00:03):
We have a guest.
Speaker 1 (00:04):
Let's never build warm.
Speaker 2 (00:05):
Welcome, warm, Welcome, Thank you for the one. Welcome to
the neighborhood.
Speaker 3 (00:09):
Welcome to the shoe dismount, doctor Chris Brown. It's a
great show, dream Home done by a dreamy guy.
Speaker 2 (00:17):
That was awesome.
Speaker 1 (00:20):
Wow, she didn't I will promise you she didn't practice that.
That just came out, Gailia.
Speaker 2 (00:28):
Look, I want to believe you. I want to believe you.
You know where we've chatted before, you've never made it awkward.
But actually no, you have made it. Well.
Speaker 3 (00:36):
Look you've made the switch for stations and they're making
you work because you've got dream Home. Then you're going
to be doing Once in a Lifetime, which is a
bit show, and then you're going to be doing Dancing
with the Stars, which is great.
Speaker 2 (00:49):
Yep. So I mean two things I'm terrible at renovating
and dancing, and then one thing, thankfully I know what
I'm doing. So it's it's all about balance. I think
out of my comfort zone and there and then straight
back into.
Speaker 1 (01:01):
It, which which is great. Obviously, when you were talking,
you know, getting poached, did they talk to you about
all the opportunities that they were hoping to get you
involved in by name or did they just say we've
got a couple of big ideas for you.
Speaker 2 (01:14):
No, it was it was by name. So I was
aware of dream Home and and once in a lifetime
is actually my eye was my idea. So I essentially
brought that to the network. And then the in terms
of dream Home, I knew about that, and what was
what was exciting about that was renovation show. Yes, and
(01:36):
I've been through some hellish renovations myself, and so I
kind of get where the where the natural drama of
those comes from. But it was the heart in dream
Home that really told me that the fact that it's nasty,
it's about it's about people like everyone really who everyone
aspires to have their home. But doing a renovation is
(01:56):
often the bridge if it's often the possible dream. And
this makes it a reality for these sick couples, and
they they put everything on the line, They put their
sort of heart, soul and sanity at different points on
the line to get these three times renovated. But the
results are pretty pretty extraordinary, and they genuinely have their
(02:17):
lives changed by big part of this, which is which
is really special, but because it's the first season of
the show. When we came to actually let these people
know they were getting their dream home they were on
the show, we knocked on their door between sort of
six and seven in the morning as they were getting
ready for work, and they didn't realize that I was
the host of the show at this stage, so they
(02:38):
were so confused. It was so good. They were so
confused why VET was knocking on their door at six
in the morning. The house called. They didn't organize. They
often didn't even have pets, so it just there are
some really great moments in the first episode where you know,
I get told to butther off, I get told to
come back another time, I set up a security system.
(02:59):
I just it's just a really great way to you know,
warm myself to the to the audience, to these people,
and also prove that I'd be the worst Jehovah's witness
of all time.
Speaker 3 (03:09):
So I'll tell you if you knocked a mind or
and asked if I knew Jesus, I'd say yes, I
believe in him, And he asked he answered my call.
I handed my prayers. Come on inside, got to say
if you've got people turning you away. There were men
answering the doors, not the women, right, it was like no.
Speaker 2 (03:27):
There were a couple of times where the kids answered
the door and left the pans in the shower, and
from the message to me basically like who would open
the door door, complete stranger, and they did well. They
basically told me to bugger off. I've just passed on
the message from the parents are in the shower. So
it was all it was all great.
Speaker 1 (03:46):
It would have been terrible if the door shut and
then you just hear the kid yelling out, hey, that
guy that used to be on celebrity, get me out
of the one thing that from the trailers that were
the one thing that oozes out of it is warmth.
So you are the perfect fella to be up front
(04:06):
of all of these programs, mate, And it's lovely to
catch up with you again and we can wish you
all the best. I think this is going to be
a really good watch.
Speaker 2 (04:13):
Yeah, thank you so much. I think you'll enjoy it.
It's yeah, it's a good watch, and it's a nice
one to make you feel better but also be be entertained.
So it's a good one. You'll enjoy it. Thank you,
Doctor Phil.
Speaker 1 (04:29):

These new candles on the middle of the table and
everyone was out of the room. I was at the back,
and all of a sudden, I hear this one wow,
and I've gone what is going on? And there was
a fire on the table. So my beautiful new candle.
Jackson had accidentally knocked one of the rolls of paper
and the whole thing was going up well amazingly. Jackson
(05:04):
ran and got a fire extinguisher, which I.
Speaker 3 (05:06):
Didn't even know he had.
Speaker 2 (05:08):
I'm also the same person that started the Boss.
Speaker 4 (05:10):
He did not intentionally, but he did start it and
he knew where the fire extinguisher was. Coincident, I don't
think so.
Speaker 3 (05:18):
Lawyer and Big Troupe weekdays from three only on one
